Excellent Safari of a Lifetime to Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve with Endless Summer Tours
5/5

Our safari with Endless Summer Tours far exceeded our expectations. Our private guide, Steve, was well-versed, enthusiastic, calm under pressure (with a pair of bull elephants in the road), and a generous and accomplished cook. The animals were amazing, the housing comfortable, the opportunities and flexibility for optional activities, such as snorkeling in the Indian Ocean and visiting a cheetah preserve, added variety and interest to our trip, and Steve's knowledge of the indigenous peoples, history, flora, and animals made for an outstanding experience that we will never forget. In Steve's favorite words: "It was Epic"! Dealing with the company was straightforward, and we always got prompt answers to any questions we had. We felt very taken care of, and recommend Endless Summer Tours to anyone.

"Amazing Trip!!"
5/5

My girlfriend and I have just returned from our 4 Night Kruger safari and Blyde Canyon tour. Simply an unbelievable experience. And we were thoroughly impressed with our guide Steve. His professionalism, care to duty, knowledge of the park and all its habitats and passion for his work were remarkable to say the least. Along with his amazing cooking abilities... . Amazing. We have both left Kruger to return home but rest assure that Kruger will never leave us. We definitely recommend Endless Summer Tours to anyone looking for a unique experience.

An experience for life!
5/5

My girlfriend and I went on six days trip with Brett and got an experience for life! We were picked up from our hotel in Jo’burg and spent the first night in the Blyde Canyon area and four nights at two different camps inside the Kruger Park. The safari was a fantastic, a VERY skilled guide, good food, nice accommodation and a lot of beautiful nature and animals. The game drives with Brett was very good, he knows where to find the animals and he had a lot of knowledge to share. We had included some game drives with the rangers in the park, but we decided not to use all of them because we got much better drives with our own guide. The extra money we paid for sleeping inside the park and a private guide from Endless Summer was worth every rand. High value for money and a very nice experience. We will be back!

amazing adventure
5/5

We would like to thank you very much for organizing an amazing trip to Kruger Park and Blyde Canyon. The formula of the trip you invented caused experiences that we will never forget. A guide who not only carry and show curiosities, but also gave a taste of amazing flavors. All the long chats about wildlife and South Africa in general made this trip even more interesting . Unforgettable conversations under the stars, which from our point of view are unreal… Sounds of the night in the bush… A guide who is intelligent, polite and helpful at every step. Congrats Steve!

Meeting with Anthony was another story. Interesting conversation about business, South Africa and Poland. Shopping at the butcher’s showed us your philosophy of customer approach. Bravo Gentlemen!

I’m 55 years old. I have seen in my life a lot of, but such a travel company with such a philosophy first time. If anytime South Africa ones more, of course with Endless Summer.

We did indeed see them all: Elefants, lions, giraffes, leopards (3!), buffalos, rhinos, water bucks etc. and a lot of beautiful birds. The safari was well organized and the guide, Wade, made a terriffic job including making nice food

A Professional, Knowledgeable, Flexible, Fun Organization
5/5

This was our second time visiting South Africa, and it was the second time I've used Endless Summer Tours. Once again they overachieved! This was a custom itinerary, and they were patient with all my questions during the planning phase, creative in coming up with custom itineraries for our group, and they executed the plans with precision.

Rhys really listened to our list of wishes and offered several options based on his local knowledge. Anthony provided last-minute confirmations for everything, which I was extremely grateful for, since that peace of mind is invaluable to those of us with OCD when we are in unfamiliar territory! They are above and beyond in the customer service category.

Dick and Brett are genuinely wonderful people, incredibly knowledgeable on the local flora and fauna, and it was a pleasure spending our time with them. They were on time or early for all set appointments, and I really appreciate that respect for everyone's time. We went on a coastal hike and a Drakensberg hike, both areas extreme opposites from each other, and Brett knew every animal, plant, tree, and flower without missing a beat. We learned so much on this trip.

It feels like this entire organization played a part to make our trip relaxing and fun. It was an amazing experience, and our group is grateful for all the hard work this team put into making it happen. I hope to have more opportunities in the future to use Endless Summer Tours in my travels.

Epic Honeymoon Safari!
5/5

Words can’t express how amazing this trip was! From the moment we started the booking process to the very end... everything was perfect. This trip went far beyond what I expected and each day came with new “wow” moments.

To start, booking was a breeze. Communication with Gayle, Rhys and Ant was fast, easy, and friendly. Someone was always there to answer a question or go over any part of our itinerary. Gayle actually put together a completely custom trip for us and squeezed in every activity we wanted to do all within our budget. She even surprised us with some extras!

Before I talk about what we did on the trip, I have to say none of it would have happened without our guide Steve. He made our trip. Friendly, knowledgeable, funny, an AMAZING cook, and really just an overall fantastic human being. After 11 days together, I can happily call him our friend. His love and respect for the park and all of the wildlife in it was beautiful. My husband and I booked this trip mainly for wildlife viewing, so to have Steve get just as excited to see something and to share that same energy and love for it all, made everything even better. I know that it is his job to drive and cook and cater to us, but he took it a step further. We didn’t feel like we spent the trip with a stranger, but with an old friend that we hadn’t seen in a while. From the moment he picked us up at the airport he was ready to go. Every morning in Kruger cooking us breakfast, to making beautiful lunch spreads, to his insane braai skills. I am a picky eater and he got me to try a whole bunch of new things and enjoy them too! When we were out at restaurants, he always had the best recommendations on what to get. He picked out the best bottles of wine. I really could go on forever! Steve, I hope you read this and know how much we appreciate you and everything you did for us. You went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and more. We felt comfortable with you from the first minute we met and the more time we all spent together, the more we found we had in common... it was hard saying goodbye. We cannot wait to come back again and make more epic memories!

Fantastic safari experience!
5/5

We booked a 5-day, 4 night, private tour for 3 people in Kruger National Park with Endless Summer Tour. I had researched many tours and companies, reaching out to 4-5 companies for detailed quotes and information.

Rhys from Endless Summer was quick to respond, answering tons of questions, offering some customizable options, and patiently walking me through the process. Where other companies were inflexible on certain aspects, Endless Summer had no problems. (For example, our flight got into Johannesburg at 9:30. Another company's "private" tour had the transport leaving the airport at 9am. When I asked about our flight time, they said, "then that won't work for you.") Rhys' response was "No Problem!" I had a hiccup with the wire transfer, but Rhys patiently and expertly walked us through that. I was pleased with the easy and flexibility of communication.

When we arrived in Johannesburg, we were greeted quickly by our guide, Wade. Wade was amazing and super easygoing. He drove us to Kruger, and immediately started pointing out wildlife. He was excellent as both driver and spotter, always taking into account what we are most interested to see and do, getting the car into position for great photos. He prepared our meals, and we couldn't have gone hungry if we wanted to. The meals were incredible, and certainly more than we expected. You would think that spending 5 days with a stranger would be awkward, but Wade is incredibly personable, comfortable joking around, being serious, and also comfortable with silence. I can imagine him seamlessly adapting to each group he brings. (Seriously, don't hesitate to request Wade.) He clearly loves what he does, and has a great wealth of knowledge about animals, plants, tracks, etc. and is happy to share with you. We spent days driving and looking for animals, but also did a couple of game reserves at night and early morning (when you can only be outside of camp with a ranger). Those were nice experiences, but as Rhys had cautioned me, most people find one or two of those to be enough. He was absolutely correct. We found that having more people in the vehicle, it was harder to communicate with your guide, harder to get the stops you want, harder to get your photo, and also harder to deal with camera equipment in the elements. We also did a bushwalk with a ranger, which was a very educational experience, but you don't tend to get super close to the animals (obviously). Our best and closest animal experiences were with Wade. We saw the Big Five and many more animals. We learned so much about the area, not just Kruger, but South Africa in general, by chatting with Wade, which came in handy when we continued our vacation in Cape Town (knowing and understanding certain cultural norms).

We traveled in July 2019, and the weather was great. It was warm during the day, and chilly at night and early morning (great sleeping weather), though our rooms had A/C also. We had brought anti-malarial medication, but didn't really need it. We didn't see a single mosquito the whole time. I worried about the types of colors/clothes, but that's really only an issue on bushwalks. Most of the time you are in the vehicle, so wear what's comfortable, with layers to adjust. If you have access to a telephoto lens, obviously that allows you more great photo ops, but having a couple of cameras for a range of distances also helps. I had one camera with a long range lens, one with a standard mid-range lens, and still had to use my iphone camera for when the animals were RIGHTTHERE.

Overall, we were incredibly happy with our experience with Endless Summer Tours, with our expectations surpassed at every turn. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Amazing experience with great guide
5/5

We went for a custom private trip. Starting from Durban, with day trip to Lesotho, then onward to St Lucia, up through Swaziland (now Eswatini) (staying at Mlilwane Game Reserve) to Kruger NP (staying at Crocodile Bridge and Lower Sabie Rest Camps). Ant was our guide and driver and was fantastic all the way. Everything was well organised and planned, including breakfast and evening Braais. The accommodation was perfect for what we wanted, a mixture of guest house, tented and traditional beehive-style, both en-suite and communual facilities. Ant also worked to get the best possible location for the tented accommodation, which paid dividend by having hyenas and rhinos just meters away. The tour was done at the pace we wanted. As both my wife and I are avid wildlife photographers, there was no problem with just sitting by a waterhole for as long as we wanted to, sitting back and watching leopards and lions rest for a few hours, or driving down random back roads through Kruger. The wildlife did not disappoint with sightings of all the big 5, most fairly close-up! It's clear that both Ant and the other guides at EST have enormous respect for the wildlife and landscape, they do look after you well, but they also look after their own country. With years of experience they understand how the animals may react, and put you in the best (and safest) possible position for both you and the animals. If something wasn't right, or the animal was agitated (usually by too many other tour groups crowding the animal), Ant made the decision to move on and leave it be. Could not have asked for a better guide or company to travel with. The only disappointment was that we couldn't stay for longer. Eagerly waiting to go back!
