Memorable Family Vacation in Selous and Zanzibar.
4/5

Our tour organizer, Samwel, did a good job explaining the options and making changes to the itinerary to suit our needs. The price was affordable and fair, and the tour company did everything they said they would do, such as airport pick up, transfers, etc. We also really enjoyed our experience with our driver / safari guide (Charles) who took very good care of us. They also speak good English, so communication was generally not a problem. Visiting Selous was great, we spent 1/2 day on the river (hippos, crocs, birds) and 2 full days in the reserve (giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, lions, elephant, hippos, crocs, impala, baboons, hyena, water buffalo, etc) and really enjoyed this experience. I would recommend this tour company and would use them again. If I had to replan the trip, I would likely pay a bit more for better accommodations. The Kinga Lodge in Selous was great the people were great (no air conditioning though!). The other accommodations I would have been happy to pay a bit more for something a bit nicer. Lots of great family memories here and thank you for Daigle!

fantastic trip, well organised with very knowledgeable safari guide
4/5

the trip was great. we were met by our guide at the airport and driven to Selous park. The lodge was fantastic, simple but beautiful with a fantastic chef who cooked wonderful meals (including picnics each day). We saw most of the big animals and had some great game days. The village tour was disappointing - particularly because of our somewhat limited guide. We travelled to Zanzibar by boat which was quite an experience. Hotel on the island lovely with great pool and rooms but food was disappointing. Spice and stone tours great with excellent guide. All in all a very well organised trip with Daigle tours who I would definitely recommend.

Good job Daigle!
4/5

Our guide and driver were both very nice and competent. It was so nice to have a private tour rather than a big bus tour. Our guide was especially helpful in helping us bargain for our craft purchases--we would have been lost without him.

Always in our memories

The safari experience that my wife and I did with Daigle Tours will always be in our memories. The special touch was the guides who were always attentive and friendly with us. Being in Tanzania again, I would look for Daigle Tours to repeat the adventure.

Nice driver Kpande and proper safari vehicle, much better than 4x4
3/5

The experience was really nice, a bit expensive but all tour companies in Tanzania are expensive. There was no way to pay online or by card, had to be cash and we spent time in the morning driving around to get cash from the bank machine, not something you want to do at 4am in the dark in Tanzania! I recommend bringing enough dollars to pay for the trip. They need to update to online payment as not many people carry large amounts of cash for obvious safety reasons. Big disadvantage. Other than that a great company and trip! Our driver and guide Kpande was very informative and friendly. We did a day trip and it was a lot of travel but well worth the time. 4am-9:30pm. The safari truck is very nice with pop up roof, lots of legroom, refrigerator, and sockets for charging electronics etc. I would recommend bringing CDs to play as my phone did not connect to the bluetooth in the truck and there was only one CD on repeat, we listened to Maroon 5, moves like Jagger about 20 times before we asked to turn it off!haha make sure to bring a camera that can take video and panoramics, superb views! Breakfast was ok but lunch was really nice looking out on the savanna while eating! Some improvements to be made to payments and music but overall worth the trip in a authentic safari truck! :D
