Wonderful, memorable, worry-free vacation to Tanzania
Galloping Safari and Walter were the best. Walter's communication was always timely and informative as well as very helpful in trying to help us set up our itinerary. They worked with us until we were satisfied with the arrangements down to the last detail. We changed our mind often and Walter was always patient and helpful! Lawrence our guide for all of the northern parks was outstanding! We could not have asked for a more knowledgable guide, host or companion in Tanzania. He made sure our trip was so enjoyable that we will be sure to return to Tanzania in the future!
The last 6 days of our trip we arranged with Walter and Galloping Safari to fly to Selous for three nights and then onto Zanzibar for a final three nights. The arrangements were first class. The climate in Selous and Zanzibar was surprisingly much warmer, but the staff at the The Serena River Lodge in Selous and the Baraza resort in Zanzibar did everything to accommodate our every need.
We would not hesitate to travel again with Lawrence and Walter from Galloping Safaris!

A wonderful family safari
Galloping Safaris and Walter helped me organize a fantastic 5-day safari for my family with four teenagers this Christmas. From the start Walter was very easy to work with, and helped me create an itinerary exactly how I wanted it. I very much appreciated how he helped me book just the lodges I had selected from my own research online.
Upon arrival to Kilimanjaro Airport we were met by our guide Maningo and driven to Four Point by Sheraton in Arusha. This hotel was perfect for the first night before starting the safari. Food was excellent and the rooms were very modern and clean.
The next day we did an all day game drive in Lake Manyara and drove to Ngorogoro Sopa Lodge for a two night stay. The hotel is conveniently located on the rim of the crater with easy access for the safari. The full day game drive the next day was a safari-on-steroids experience, and we saw a great number of animals.
On the third day we drove to Serengeti and the wonderful Dunia Camp. The fourth day was a full day game drive in Serengeti, which let us complete the Big Five, and experience the Great Migration.
On the fifth day we had a final morning game drive on the way to Serengeti Airstrip for our flight back to Arusha and on to Zanzibar.
A very warm and special thanks to our guide Maningo. He was truly knowledgable about the animals, and spotted animals that we could never have seen ourselves. His driving was very safe and comfortable. On top of that he was a great and fun guy to spend time with. I would recommend him to anyone going on safari in Ngorogoro/ Serengeti.

Very good services and good knowledge on the safari area visited.
All very good in general.
We only needed 10 days for the tour and we had 14 days scheduled.
Lot of driving to move around.

Excellent Safari operator - Amazing time in Tanzania
My wife and I did our first African safari with Galloping Safaris in the end of September and were extremely satisfied. We conducted the entire process online with Walter. The lodging options were amazing and they helped us customize the trip to match exactly what we wanted. Compared to some of the other options we considered, their price point was very competitive.
Our guide Cosmas was extremely polite and knowledgeable and knew how to navigate the parks and spot animals extremely well.
The only minor setback we had was with our transportation from Arusha to Zanzibar - our flights were delayed and the guide was not at the airport to pick us up. I called Walter and everything was resolved.

Chaos - another name for Galloping Safaris
More than nine month in advance we booked a helicopter flight to Mount Kilimanjaro with Galloping Safaris (920 US-$ per person). The mail contact was easy at the beginnig! later on difficult. For example twice we were promised that the agency would create a simpler - which means less costly - mode of payment --- nothing happened. At the end no mail was answered and twelve hours before our schedule departure we did not know the location for the take-off. The meeting point initial mentioned (Moshi Airport) was changed ten hours before departures to a place on the outskirts of Arusha - without priori notice. If we had not inquired we would not have known the new place for take-off. Since the first place of our departure was supposed to be Moshi we booked a hotel room there and had to travel from Moshi to Arusha early in the morning and without breakfast. By the way: departures time changed from 10 am to 8 am.
Apart from that the payment of the full amount was due well in advance.
Because of all this trouble we would not recommend Galloping Safaris.

Fantastic 7-day Northern Tanzania safari with Lawrence
Me and wife had a great 7-day Northern Tanzania tailor-made safari, covering Arusha, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro, with our tour guide Lawrance. We have seen Big 5 and covered all the great parts on the national parks we visited. Also visited Masai village, Olduvai Gorge and had a walking safari on Arusha NP.
I started planning the safari just 2 weeks before arrival, which is not usual comparing to advised 6-months ahead the forum. Walter always responded quick & promptly to my questions and made changes on the itinerary. This had been the decision factor against the other options.
I always felt that the change on the itinerary was fair. He assured me that everything will go as planned, although the international payment made to their account the day before arrival.
Lawrence, our tour guide with us for 7 days and more than 700km, has more than 15 years experience on doing safari on the visited national parks. He treated us as his close friend and take care of us for all needs. He was absolutely fantastic. Spotted animals which is really hard to see. In one case we had been the first car to spot the hiding leopard, which is 100 meters far from us, on Serengeti NP. In a short time more than 10 car happened to be there. Same happened for cheetahs and rhinos as well. He give brief information on each wild animal that we have seen for the first time. Had all trust on him to be showing us the wildlife we are keen to see.
Every day he asked if any special arrangement needs to be made, if we are keen to see a specific animal and suggested a change on the itinerary which helped us to spend more time on Ngorongoro NP than planned one.
I am happy to suggest Galloping Safari and especially our tour guide Lawrence for a great safari.
Sukhran Lawrence Baba. :)

Really good safari
My mother and I went on a Safari through the Serengeti in February 2017.
It was a birthday gift for my mom. She has been dreaming of this trip for all her life and finally wanted to see lions and elephants in their natural habitat.
So I booked the trip though this platform. I directly got in touch with several operators and got swift replies from all of them. The contact was uncomplicated and they all offered good services for good prices.
But because we were most convinced by the offer that Galloping Safari made, we chose this operator. The price was a bit higher compared to the other operators, BUT … the little surcharge was well worth it.
The accomodations were really good! (Believe me, after a long day of Safari, you just want to enjoy a good accommodation!)
Also the locations of the accommodations were quite pleasing (especially the one in the Serengeti).
Our tour guide was doing a magnificent job, trying to get us up close to the wildlife (without ever getting into the comfort-zone of the animals).
We were really lucky on our trip, we saw so many things that even I had not expected! We were always up close and the first to see things, when they happened. (once a pack of lions even killed a bull, right in front of us)
It sure demands a lot of luck to see all the things we have seen on our Safari. But when fate is on your side, you can be sure that Galloping Safari will do their best to make the best of it!

Excellent! Fantastic! Completely exceeded our expectatives!
100% recommended. We had a 10 day Safari in Tanzania. Everything worked out fasntatic and it was even better than what we have expected. Al timings were perfect, their recommendations on what to do, how to do it and when to do it were flawless. You could see a real know-how of everything on this guys. Also, one of the good points of this agency is that its Tanzanian owned and controlled which means that al the profit stays in the country. Our guide (Max) had a lot of experience and could detect things happening miles away, also had a great relationaship with other guides, so he was always infromed of the highlights that were happening in other parts and we could get there fast. Very nice guy. Finally, all the lodges that we stayed in were "out of this world"! Also, Tanzanian owned with the highest standards Ive seen in a LONG time. Congratulations and keep working like this!

Best vacation EVER!!!!
We went to Tanzania to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. My mom did some research and chose to work with Walter at Galloping Safaris. She made the right choice! It was absolutely amazing. From our first lodge in Arusha, all our accommodations were top notch and beautiful. We traveled with our guides Ringo and Sylva, and they were like family by the end of our trip. They took such good care of us and made sure that everything was perfect. The trip took us from Arusha to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Central Serengeti, Northern Serengeti, and back to Arusha. I feel like each place was so different and had so much to offer, and all the accommodations along the way were so unique and special and truly breathtakingly gorgeous. Our guides stopped along the way so we could go to the local market or meet with a Masai tribe and experience the local life and traditions. Seeing all the wild animals in their natural habitat was such fun and so new, and we really got to see all that we hoped for and more. We had two 14 year old boys and a 7 year old girl, and the experience was magical for them. As stunning and wonderful as the animals and countryside are in Tanzania, the people are the true gems. We were always well cared for and safe and felt completely welcomed into their culture. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and one that all of us will forever treasure. I am so thankful we were working with Ringo, Sylva, and Walter at Galloping Safaris. Our experience could not have been better.
