Fantastic from the beginning in north (Serengeti) to the end in south (Roaha). The representative during the planning and organizing did a very good job, just as we wanted our trip. Our guide knew the area very vell, he was a safe driver and took very good care of us. All our expectations were more than fullfilled.

Our group of 8 had specific requests to incorporate our vacation to include not just safaris with subsequent visit to Zanzibar, but with a visit to rural Tanzania to meet our son-in-law's family. Our itinerary required 2 vehicles and drivers driving 2 days from Dar es Salaam just to be at the rural airport to take us to two days of family gatherings in 2 different locations close to 300km apart. However all the accommodations were arranged and there was no task that was too challenging as we put together this unique itinerary. Our group was so grateful to be able to relax at the Beach House in Dar es Salaam at the beginning and end of the stay and during the 2 weeks in Tanzania we built a strong rapport with our 2 guides - they were both very knowledgeable and professional. They were always punctual and worked very long days. We were all so grateful for the attention to detail for each day of the itinerary!! We hope to go back again and highly recommend the professionals at Tanzania Explorer.

A simply amazing trip combining Ruaha, Udzungwa mountains, Mikumi and chilling in Michamvi, Zanzibar
5/5

We met Sondre at the Norwegian Travel Fair and instantly wanted to go on a safari in Tanzania after being in Kenya some years ago. Sondre and Tanzania Explorer put together a wonderful experience in southern Tanzania and Zanzibar. The service all the way from planning, during the trip and even after have been the best.

When we arrived in the airport in Dar wonderful Sam met us and drove us to the beach villa where we spent the following day getting adjusted to the temperature who is somewhat different from Norway in the winter.
Sam was also our safari guide, he is very knowledgeable and a very nice, calm person with good humor so we had a great experience. We started out from the beach villa early in the morning heading for Ruaha and Rufiji River Camp. The camp is situated over the Rufiji River close to the game reserve gates. Just from the gates and to the camp saw Warthogs, Giraffes and Impalas. We had a great couple of days in Ruaha with alot of animals, great scenery, good food and a sunset GT on the safari vehicle's hood.

When heading for the Udzungwa mountains and Mikumi there had been bad weather and the road was totally missing at a point, resulting in our safari vehicle getting stuck in the mud. Sam was his usual calm self, and after a while someone from another camp showed up with a tractor and pulled our vehicle out of the mud. While all this happened we got to eat breakfast in the road side and have a small "walking safari". This and the Udzungwa mountains was a experience we will remember for a very long time!

We arrived at Vuma Hills Tented Camp just outside of the gates of Mikumi National Park a bit late because of getting stuck in the mud, but they still had dinner waiting for us. Waking up in the camp situated in the hillside overlooking the park was very beautiful and we actually wish we had one more day here. Mikumi National Park is quite different from Ruaha, with the scenery being more open and you can se the animals from far distances.

After a day of game drive in Mikumi we took a plane heading for Zanzibar. Landing in Zanzibar we were met by Banja who drove us to Michamvi Sunset Bay. While driving he told us different facts about the Island and made some jokes. Banja also stopped by the hotel during our stay to check if everything was okay. Michamvi Sunset Bay was so beautiful, the staff incredibly friendly and the food very good.

Banja drove us to the port and we took a ferry back to Dar and again we were met by Sam. We had our last couple of days in the beach villa so we had the time to go to the beach, and Zawadi took us to the market for some shopping, and we had a trip to Mbudya Island with the most amazing beach.

We would recommend Tanzania Explorer to everyone looking for a trip to Tanzania! Sondre made us a fantastic itinerary and the staff in Tanzania where so friendly and helpful that we did not want to leave them to go home again.

Tanzania Explorer has given our family a memory for life. A unique insight and understanding of customer needs, an impressive follow-up and 100% fulfillment of expectations - we have had a fantastic journey in Tanzania that we will never forget. Great safari in Selous and relaxing at Lazy Lagoon
5/5

We, a family of five - 3 boys age 11, 15 and 19 - ordered a tailor made week program from Tanzania Explorer. it was a great trip in all ways. The service we recieved before, under and after was excellent - and we felt safe and taken care of all the way. 3 days at Rufiji river lodge was super, and gave us both the time to "land" after a tiring journey and busy work weeks, and the chance to explore the wilderness of Africa. The boys were excited to see Hippo, Crocodiles and Impalas on the first day, and Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras and snakes the next. Rufiji is a small camp by the river, and staying in the tent huts is being in the wilderness, with hippos roaring in the river and monkeys in the trees. Very cool. Our driver Sam, was an excellent guide, and very knowledgebale and pleasant to be with. The kids loved him. Both the driving, walking and boat safari was super. After a long drive on day 4 - we arrived at Lazy Lagoon. (We took this by car, since my wife does not like small planes, but there is an air strip close to Rufuji, and I would have taken a flight to Zanzibar og Pemba if this was not an issue, because the drive back is long, like 7-8 hrs in partly heavy traffic through Dar es Salaam). This was a small paradise, with good food, relaxing days, sun, sea and play. We spent 3 nights herd, and enjoyed it very much. The place is small and quite, but there are surf boards, billiard, darts, pool etc. - but staying here is mainly relaxing... All in all a very good experience, thanks to the staff in Tanzania and Pernilla in Sweden.
