Perfect safari for a family
We had an excellent trip plannened by Tanzania Explorer. We are a family of five (children aged 10, 13, 17), and the safari was an amazing experience for all of us. Tanzania Explorer found the perfect place for us (Selous in July), we had an experienced guide on the safari, a nice lodge to stay in. It couldn't be more perfect. After the safari, we went to Zanizbar. It was all well planned and well taken care of by Tanzania Explorer. If you are planning on going to Tanzania for safari, we highly recommend Tanzania Explorer.

Excellent
We went on a two week trip organized by Tanzania Explorer, one week on Kilimanjaro and one week safari in different parks. The trip was amazing and the staff in both Norway and Tanzania was friendly, enthusiastic and really profesional. We felt taken care of from the moment we got in contact with the company and all the way until we got home from the trip. It is also very comforting to know that the company visits/ tries every rout, hotel, park etc before recomending them for their customers. If you are considering going to Tanzania we would definitly recomend using Tanzania Explorer!

Group Travel with Tanzania Explorer a MUST!
Tanzania Explorer made our trip to Tanzania with 14 Swedish students (15-19y) an incredible experience! From pick-up at the airport with breakfast boxes, to customized and educational visits to local villages and their schools, to safaris, rainforests, cities and waterfalls the experiences that Tanzania Explorer has shown us will stay with us for life! As the Swedish supervisor of this trip I feel so comfortable knowing that Sondre and his team have the local connections and experiences to ensure that my group are always safe - and a relaxed teacher leads to relaxed students. The students have so many questions and the guides always have answers. TZ Explorer has a briefing every evening - making the next day the best, most exciting and different day of their lives. This is the second year that I travel to the Selous region with the students and this year was a different trip with more exposure to the stunning geographical diversity that is Tanzania. We saw arable plains, bustling local markets and Masai cowherds.This year we saw the rainforest of the Udzungwa Mountains with its lush vegetation, villages nestled into the hills and rich fertile red earth. We saw local schools and special needs schools. We saw the ocean and we saw the heavens from atop a peak in the Uluguru Mountains after a hike. What I am trying to say is that I, as the one ultimately responsible for 14 young Swedish people, feel entirely safe, confident and sure that my trip with Tanzania Explorer will be an adventure, will be safe and will be one that we will never forget. A fantasic trip for the whole family
We just came back from an amazing first trip to Tanzania. Tanzania Explorer tailor made a trip for us according to who we are, what we wanted, time of year and budget and we were all very satisfied with the result. Two families with children aged from 8 to 15 all had a fantastic and magical time specially in Ngorongoro and Serengeti, and we would not hesitate recommending this to others. Our guides were very knowledgeable and great travel companions and we definitely would like to go back some day!

Amazing Kilimanjaro Trek and Safari experience 2017
I had recently the most amazing first trip to Tanzania.
Thanks to Tanzania Explorer and their fantastic mountain guides and crew, our group of 13 friends managed to reach the roof of Africa, Uhuru Peak, on the 12.02.17. The successful trek on Kilimanjaro consisted of 7 days on the beautiful and lush Lemosho route, (they also timed the summit for us to have a full moon on the summit night) followed by 7day safari adventure.
We had 1 night in Mkomazi National Park. Since this was my first safari experience, I was overwhelmed to see all wild life in general, but the highlight of this trip was to see elephant’s and cheetahs on my first day.
Next stop was Amani Nature Reserve, known for their endemic species of reptiles and amphibians. We had a chameleon night walk, and our excellent guide showed us the chameleons that are hard to spot during the day, but at night, glowed white in the torchlight and other amphibians.
Final destination was Saadani National Park and 2 nights at Saadani Safari River Lodge. Here we had a great and relaxing stay with top of the notch service and accommodation with perfect scenery next the famous Wami River. Eating breakfast and watch hippos on the other side of the river whilst an elephant was walking past, was just the perfect start in the morning.
Thanks to Tanzania Explorer, their superb guides & management who prepared us and planned the entire trip from A-Z. You managed to exceed my expectations and I had the trip of a lifetime, thank you for this amazing adventure in Tanzania.

Amazing Experience
A big thank you to Tanzania Explorer for making this safari an experience we will never forget. We were in contact with both Sondre and Vivi before, during and after the trip. They always responded very quickly and professional to our enquires, and did the best job planning this trip for us.
Our safari guide was without a doubt the best guide we could ask for. He was professional, an excellent spotter, patient and an absolute blast to be around :)
When I come back to this beautiful country for another safari experience, I will most definitely use Tanzania Explorer again, and I recommend this company to anyone that are choosing Tanzania as their safari destination!

Excellent tailored holliday.
No problems at all during our hollyday in Tanzania and Zanzibar. We were met by friendly staff and cared for at all times by Tanzania Explorer staff. Great stay at Saadani Safari Lodge and several hotels in Zanzibar.

A magic experience with Tanzania explorer gave us a dream come through safari in Tanzania!
From the very first contact we had with Tanzania Explorer and Sondre we got the best advices and recommendations for our holidays in Tanzania. Close and personalized contact and communication with us all the time ensured that our safari holidays were perfect and we were well taken care of from landing in Dar es Salaam and taking off again two weeks later. In fact it exceeded my expectations. Everything was taken care of, even the dietary needs of to persons with celiac disease was handled with care and discretion. We stayed at Selous Kinga lodge where service and food was excellent. Everywhere we met friendly staff taking care of us. We also loved staying at Hondo Hondo tented camp in the Udzungwa forest. Beautiful situated and very nice "tents". Again where the staff extremely friendly and nice. We enjoyed the safari trips in both in Selous and Mikomi parks where we preferred Selous where we experienced all the animals and even though it was peak season we felt as if we were alone watching the lion recover after the morning hunt and kill. Strong and magic! Our drivers and guides where also excellent and professional. Zanzibar was a nice ending of the dream with white beaches, coral reefs and dolphin swim:) We loved all of it and highly recommend planning your trip with Tanzania explorer - its a dream come through.

I do not usually write reviews, but this time Tanzania Explorer really deserve a great review. Why? Because they are great! Sondre (owner) was following us up and kept all his promises.
