Terrific safari and amazing value
I still can't quite believe I got to do this. I always thought safaris cost the earth, but this was excellent value - all accommodation, most meals, and importantly all the transport, bushwalks, and guided wildlife drives. Amazing. We saw so many different animals and birds, stunning landscape, dinner under the stars, and felt all the time as if we were in good hands. Thanks especially to all the guides for sharing their stories and wisdom. I'll be back.

A great and memorable experience
Were a party of 5 (2 eldery and 3 young people) and did a 5 day Lodge/Treehouse safari.
Our stay in Tremisana and Marc's Tree house Lodge was outstanding. we didn't know what to expect when we made our reservation, but it realy was far above and beyond our expectations.
Every aspect of the safari was a great experience and we hope to come back one day.
The safari's in were thrilling and overwhelming. Visiting the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre was a confronting experience. While visiting the wonderful aninmals during the safari's we felt so lucky to be able to watch them, but in the rehab centre we were made very clear that this might an utopia in the future. Animals got killed and tortured. This is terrible.
In the rehab centre they do a great job.
The Tshukudu Game Drive was the best way to end our safari experience.
Tremisana Lodge and Marcs Treehouse Lodge are great places to stay, but the best part of our 5 day safari experience were the great people that accomodated us during these 5 days. They made it possible for us to create a memorable experience.
While back at home we do really miss it.
Fantastic introduction to africa
To begin my extended trip through Southern Africa I signed up for the 4 day Kruger Park tented safari. I was very glad Viva safari was able to accommodate my last minute change of pick up places when my flight was delayed by 24 hours. The night drive and broma was special and I learnt so much from the knowledgable guides about animal behaviour and how to identify them by their dung and tracks on the early morning bush walk. The wonderful accommodation, food and service at Katekani camp was greatly appreciated after a dusty day viewing wildlife. Thanks for a great safari

Highly enjoyable and recommendable
Selecting a safari can be mind-boggling. We chose well when we chose Viva for Kruger Park. Clearly Viva understands the importance of their guests' expectations and meets them admirably. It was not expensive and gave us a brilliant first-time experience. Although the "processing" of guests runs like a well-oiled machine, the politeness, hospitality and grace of staff members was unfailing. Furthermore, when I was ill, they arranged a doctors' appointment, had one of their drivers take me to it and a staff member collected my medication. We had a room at Katekani which matched my dreams and delicious home cooking with plenty of variety, served with style. Gertrude and Margaret, our "hostesses", are gems. I hope they're treasured as employees, along with the Guides and Drivers. Having worked in hospitality and as a Guide, I recognise that shifts can be long, tedious and underpaid, especially in the affordable sector. I hope they are all rewarded suitably. Our game drives always included lots of thrilling animal sightings and entertaining, informative commentary. One tip: never rely on the weather and always take a jacket, preferably hooded. When night falls or the wind comes up, you don't want it to spoil your enjoyment.

Incredible experience we will never forget!
We did the 4day-Lodge/Treehouse Safari.
Arrived at Tremisana with a warm welcome from Pretty. Our rooms were very comfortable and relaxing! Meals were excellent, especially enjoyed the braai! Bongani, Rex and Philip were our guides during our stay. They all made us feel welcomed and safe (especially on the bush walk!) Then to Marc's Treehouse and lodge. Greeted by Victor and his contagious smile! Off to Kruger Park in the morning. Saw 4 of the Big 5. Maynard our driver was amazing. We felt as though he did all we could to make sure we saw as many animals as we could.
The service we received was amazing. Truly enjoyed the staff at both locations. All very friendly and made you feel so "at home" and felt they went above and beyond. We had left an electronic device in the shuttle on our trip back to Johannesburg. After an email to Viva Safaris, we were told they found the device and delivered to our hotel the next morning.
Viva Safaris was excellent and I would recommend it to anyone.
Without question, the experience of my life
Summer 2016 I will remember for the rest of my life. I spent part of my Summer in Tremisana Lodge (Viva Safaris) and, as the title says, it has been the experience of my life. From the first day the staff members made my stay feel like home, guides where undoubtedly qualified, and I learnt a whole lot about animals thanks to them. I had the chance of experiencing the bush whilst working in it. Animal sightings where non-stop, and proof of this is the Lapa, a sort of exterior dining room that had a view to a small pond where animals would come for a drink. Kruger Park guides where exceptional: I went to Kruger Park twice and had sightings of the Big Five both times.
As a conclusion, Viva Safaris provides fantastic attention from the personnel, guides that can almost guarantee amazing viewing of game, and beautiful lodges to enhance the bush experience.

This was really an adventure and a memorable safari experience.
The friendliness of the staff is the first impression. While in camp, you are always comfortable and well fed and so rested and prepared for the abundance of bush activities. Two highlights are the evening bush-braai ( a magical and unique experience) and the uplifting morning bush-walks (with the really experienced and knowledgeable guides). Our vehicle tour of Kruger was a huge adventure and the sightings were beyond expectations. What an experience!

What a team, what an experience
Communication with Viva Safaris up to the safari itself was pleasant: Patti responded quickly and helped me in getting the perfect package. The safari itself was to die for: driving on the savannah during sunrise, seeing the whole sky turn orange and red, passing a group of zebras while hearing the roar of a lion further away from the vehicle. I kept thinking 'this won't be my only safari'.
The team itself was nothing short of amazing too: very kind and helpful, amazing food (especially dinners were my highlight, though I would recommend getting something like protein shakes or bars if you want to stick to your daily protein goals. It is possible to reach 100gr on a daily basis, but with the available South African diet you go way up in calories as well. I.e. Billtong has +30gr of protein but is also easily +400 in kcal per 100gr) the catering staff always had the biggest smile on their faces and the rangers/ drivers were always willing to explain during the drives. Also, I had my stay in the Tremisana Lodge and it was very comfortable. A/C available but not needed since I went un June (at night temperatures would be around 12-15C), small fridge, good shower and more than enough space for 2 people.
I would def book again with Viva Safaris, my safari has been amazing thanks to the team and the savannah!
