Everything you expect ... and more. Highly recommend!
El Mundo Safari was our travel partner for a 12 day trip including game drives in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, school visits for our service project, cultural learning with Masaai and Hadzabe people, beach time on the Indian Ocean, and so much more. They listened to our ideas, identified our needs, and did so much work before we arrived to make sure our experience would be amazing. Elvis and his crew go the extra mile to ensure all their guests have the trip of a lifetime. Highly recommend!
Excellent hiking day in Mt Njido
I had one day free in Arusha and I wanted to have a relief of the noisy city, so Elvis (owner) managed it for me very quick, easy and efficient. He has big knowledge about the area so he chosed a hiking in which we could avoid the inconvenience of the raining season. The trip started with a giraffe in the middle of the road, during the hiking we passed a couple of massai comunity, we saw tortoises and I enjoy amazing views. Elvis was very proffesional and had a lot of cultural and wildlife knowledge. So highly recomendable trip and highly recomendable company if you are planning a safary in Africa.

Great experience form start to finish
I have been impressed with Elvis, the owner, in my dealings with him from the beginning. He is responsive, knowledgeable and very open to working with you to help you have the experience you want. He works with amazing staff. We went to S. Africa, to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and into Botswana. Did Safri in Kruger National park as well as Chobe and did boat safari on Zambize River and the Chobe River. Different guides in different place because El Mundo Safaris works with local people. What a difference it can make to have a guide from the area you are visiting. There were hiccups at times (as is common with travel) and El Mundo Safaris handled each issue professionally and timely. The knowledge of teh guides and the drivers added layers and dimensions to the trip beyond just how amazing it was to BE on a safari and to see things like a leopard in a tree with it's half eaten impala tucked under his paw. You cannot see that on a reserve where the wild animals are fed by people. My husband was ambivalent about going to Africa and did not have going on a safari on his (long) list of things to see and do. Now, he says it is a trip that should be on everyone's short list. We want to go to Tanzania/Kenya area next and we will be doing it with EL Mundo Safaris.

Mount Meru + Safari
My wife and our two sons (14&15) were picked up by Peter in the middle of the night at Kilimanjaro Airport. One backpack was lost at the airport which caused a serious delay. It was already after midnight when Peter came to our Lodge because he managed to find out where the lost backpack was. This professional start turned out to be typical for the El Mundo experience.
The next day we had a briefing by Justin our guide to the top of the Mount Meru. This briefing turned out to be a kind of exam, we were very thoroughly checked on our climbing gear. My raincoat did not pass the test. Hakuna Matata, Justin will carry an umbrella just in case. During the climb I looked every now and then to other guides, some of them were watching their Iphone all the time and some of them were not fit enough to climb (really!) For us climbing with our sons we were very happy to have Justin around just in case.
After returning save and sound from the climb we went on Safari with Peter. he is not only an excellent driver ,which is really important on a trip like this, he has at least 2 sets of eyes because during the sometimes hard driving he spots animals from great distance. After the Ngorongoro crater Peter convinced me to take a longer but not commonly used route to Serengeti. I really wanted to go fast to Serengeti for the boys because I expected cat action there. The long route was the best day we had not only because we saw a Cheeta killing a Grand Gazelle just before our eyes.
I have been to Africa 3 times and will definitely chose El Mundo for my next trip (I hope within 5 years to do the Kili). To me the key words for El Munda are:

If you are looking for an economical yet highly efficient and fun company to climb Kili with, look no further! We have a wonderful experience booking our climb from afar and having all of our questions answered. I appreciated the clarify and speed of their responses.
Being picked up by the entire crew singing to us set the tone of the climb. Throughout our 6 day climb via Machame, the guides and porters were supportive, encouraging, and very helpful. I felt well equipped with information needed for each day. After hiking, we were greeting with amazing food and kind crew.
From the start I knew we would be successful because of the tone, pace, and professionalism from El Mundo!

El Mundo Safaris made our trip exceptional. Staff was outstanding! They made sure we saw wildlife everywhere! They selected amazing lodges with incredible views. They took is everywhere; even places we didn't know we needed to see!They anticipate travel issues (it IS Africa!) and solved them in advance. This is my 4th trip and the best by far to Africa! Vacation of a Lifetime
When my husband and I booked a 4 day safari with El Mundo Safaris, we had no idea what to expect. We were traveling to Africa for a missions trip, and figured we "should" do a safari while we were there. After all, who knew if we'd ever be back to Africa? What began as a trip about which we were a bit hesitant, and somewhat ambivalent, became the trip of a lifetime --- and we've had some amazing vacations. From day one, when the owner of the company spent a relaxed coffee time with us just getting to know us, until the last day when we hugged goodbye, each detail was perfect. The trip included beautiful and luxurious accommodations, excellent food, amazing game drives which allowed us to see every animal we had imagined, and a driver who made all of the above even more perfect. What makes this company special is their attention to people. Both Elvis, the owner, and Msami, our driver, became lifelong friends, simply because their interest in us went beyond the safari, creating relationships and memories. We laughed together, learned about each other and our very different cultures, and shared common interests and dreams. When we said goodbye to each of them, it was with the hope of seeing them again. El Mundo provided the most amazing vacation we could have imagined. I have already recommended them to family and friends, and WHEN we return, it will be to book another safari with El Mundo Safaris.
