Outstanding from Start to Finish
We booked a week long safari in and around the Serengeti, followed by a week relaxing in Zanzibar and I have to say, that from our initial contact with our planner, Luis, to returning home, nothing could have run more smoothly.
SoT do not organise international flights, but once the trip was finalised and flights booked independantly, SoT acted like a high class tour operator, meeting us at the airport and transporting us to our first accommodation.
Our trip included visits to Ngorangoro, Ndutu, Serengeti and Lake Manyara, followed by a relaxing week in Zanzibar.
In terms of wildlife, we saw all we dreamed of and more. Our guide Felix, who I thought of as a friend by the end of the safari, was so knowledgable, not just about the wildlife and where to find it, but the history and politics of his country, he made the whole trip far more enriching than I thought it could be. His driving was pretty good too, seeing us through some "interesting" situations in the unusually wet period.... Read more Picnic lunches were cooked affairs with wine, not sandwiches, plenty of water was available throughout the trip, the vehicles even had 3 pin 240v plug sockets on board to charge batteries.
I don't know what else to add, SoT are outstanding, I will visit the area again and will only consider SoT to travel with.

Easy Company to work with/Edward was the BEST GUIDE
We are SO happy we chose Soul of Tanzania for our trip! Edward was our guide who was VERY professional, knowledgable, answered all our questions, and made sure we had the best time! He helped other guides, he knew all the lodges, and he advocated for us at every hotel/lodge we stayed at. He made sure we got to see as many wildlife as possible. He has 11 years of experience and he is fluent in English. The pick up. and. drop off from the airport was seamless. We got to visit 3 different NPs. They let us choose our own lodging and were flexible about frequent changes to my plans. I enjoyed choosing my own lodging. The jeeps were comfortable and very clean. I know people say not to go in March, but the parks were lush, green, flowers were blooming, and all the animals had babies. We still saw SO much everyday. I don't feel like I missed out at all.

Unbelievable experience

Truly an outstanding experience
Booked a 4-day safari encompassing Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. SoT were very responsive in all communication from the first contact and Helena, our tour designer, managed to book a custom package in accordance with our wishes on a very short notice. The accommodation was excellent throughout. Livingstone, our driver and guide, was simply phenomenal - he knows literally everything about the area and its flora and fauna and seemed to have a sixth sense about where to find the different species of animals. Consequently, the tour never had a dull moment as there was always something new to see. We might have been lucky, but during a relatively short safari we saw cheetahs, leopards, lions, rhinos and a crocodile as well as the more numerous elephants, zebras and impalas. A particularly nice touch (which others have mentioned) is the warm lunch, which we enjoyed using metal plates, goblets and cutlery so no concerns about plastic waste :) In short - Soul of Tanzania are professionals from start to finish and we had the trip of a lifetime.

The most wonderful tour ever
We were really impressed by the great nature of africa, especially luckily we saw male lions sitting under a tree.
All of the accommodations arranged by the tour were much beyond our expectations. The guide was very kind, professional, and trustworthy. The tour team responded to our questions in a timely manner and to the point. Even when our luggage was lost in transit, they helped us and managed to get and send it all the way to our place in safari.

Great adventure
Our trip was planned by Jose and fitted our plans excellently. The price was competitive and everything put in place seamlessly. Pricing is transparent and easy to understand. The trip itself was everything we hoped for. We saw so much wildlife in six days and every day was different. The highlight was a cheetah kill but there was so much that was memorable. Lodges worked out well and tented camps were great. We had hot/ warm lunches with wine and were the envy of other companies’ clients. Our guide James spotted so much and his knowledge was encyclopaedic. Overall it was outstanding and even when floods prevented us getting to our scheduled camp a replacement was arranged to prevent an overnight in the jeep. Can’t wait for the next one!

I am part of a group of friends who travel regularly and as a leading tour, I started my research a few months ago, in order to plan a Safari in the best parks and reserves in Tanzania and dedicate the last days to some neglect on idyllic beaches from Zanzibar. Since our group was somewhat extensive (21 people) and required greater complexity, I realized that the support of an agency in the field was essential for the success of the trip. I consulted several operators to whom I requested proposals, both in terms of itinerary and budget, and from the first moment that Soul of Tanzania stood out and even though they were not the most economical, they proved their advantage over other operators from the first moment. His performance was tireless at all levels and his pro activity is second to none. We exchanged hundreds of e.mails, and I've never been more than 12 hours without an answer from you. But I also want to highlight the professionalism of the team on the ground, whether in welcoming on arrival in Arusha, whose role of Mr Beatus is essential, giving us a detailed briefing of what we could expect in the next days of Safari, to the team of Guides who accompanied us ( in our case there were four because we traveled in 4 cars) whose commitment and competence was outstanding. In general, they revealed high professionalism, knowledge, friendliness, flexibility, and an enormous sense of duty, revealing creativity in the presentation of solutions that aimed to improve the pre-established plan or manage unforeseen circumstances avoiding the success of the trip. All lodges and campsites were exceptional, both in safety, quality and exoticism. The meals served during the safaris are an authentic must, complete meals, hot and accompanied by wine. The cars are very well equipped, with a cooler for drinks, (and how well you can drink a very cold beer in the middle of Safari), as well as being safe and very comfortable, which is worth mentioning since we spent hours inside them on the walks daily. The guides are incredible, they are authentic strategists, always knowing where to find the animals and what is the best position for the cars to be able to photograph. In addition to the "big five", we saw thousands of other animals, as part of a National Geographic program. Our car's guide was Daniel, who besides being helpful and friendly, his knowledge of animal life coupled with his safari experience, also deserve top marks.
I can say that without exception, the 21 people who made up the group rated this experience as one of the best, if not the best trip of their lives and did not spare praise from the beginning to the end. Over and over again they highlighted the excellent organization at all levels, the quality of the guides who accompanied us on Safari, whether for their competence, organization and resolution of issues and all this with a touch of challenge, making our adrenaline grow. The bush dinner was outstanding, we knew that not far from where we were having dinner there were lions and in the middle of dinner a herd of high-speed wildebeests, visible from our tables, probably escaped from the lions ... but beware! the camp team never neglected our security, patrolling the entire area around our tables. Finally, the choices in Zanzibar, either in Stone Town, on the beach and activities carried out, were considered top.
Anyway ... a perfect trip in which everything was accomplished, with no deviation from what was expected and that in the feelings of all participants far exceeded their expectations. To repeat a Safari, it will always be with Soul of Tanzania. They are to be congratulated!!!!
