A great company who take the time to get to know you to craft your perfect experience.
My wife and I had a genuinely fantastic experience working with Rob Morley at Tailormade Africa to plan our Safari to celebrate our marriage. From the very beginning, Rob was genuinely interested in who we were as people - what we liked, what we did not like and what we wanted to get out of the experience. We spoke to Rob numerous times over the phone during the initial stages, which was a very different approach to other vendors we were also in contact with. Of course, budget was a big factor in what we could achieve from the trip and Rob was extremely honest and accommodating. Ultimately, what resulted was a trip of a lifetime for us at a price we were happy with. Communication with the whole team at Tailormade was extremely smooth and efficient, with great response times (over the phone and email before the trip). We felt looked after during the whole process and everything was organised for us. Once we began our trip, we did not have a single logistical issue. Being Africa, there were of course a few things that happened along the way but Tailormade were always there to mop anything up with the respective hotels/safari camp - we did not feel any disruption at all ourselves, repeating again how genuinely looked after we felt during the whole experience. During the trip, we were in regular contact with Rob via WhatsApp, just to make sure all was okay and this was appreciated, as we knew Rob was never far away. Tailormade also recommended clothing to wear, plus supported us with travel insurance and visa processes pre-trip, again making it all feel very smooth. Lastly, Tailormade are very knowledgeable of the areas of Africa that they specialise in and we do not think we would have had the same experience booking through another vendor - the recommendations from Tailormade were 100% unique. A huge thank you to the whole team at Tailormade for what was genuinely a holiday of a lifetime for us and we will always consider booking with them for future trips of this type. We would highly recommend you book through Tailormade for the personal touches they offer - go for someone smaller and you will feel the difference!

Great service from an engaged operator
My wife and I spent three very enjoyable weeks in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. Tailormade Africa made all of the arrangements in and everything worked out well. The operator was responsive to requirements and every place we went to met or exceeded our expectations. All of our transfers to and from the airports, and camps were arranged and worked seamlessly. Clyde Beatty, our contact from Tailormade Africa, was very helpful during the planning, provided excellent advice and helpful tips.

For the once in a lifetime safari go no further than Tailormade Africa
Clyde and the team at Taylormade Africa take the guess work out of what is often a once in a lifetime safari. The upfront planning helps design a bespoke African experience which is second to none. The Safari was then fully planned with an interactive app to help layout the plan and provides useful information like visa requirements etc. Clyde and the team are then available when needed to help turn the plan into action. We had 2 weeks planned which included Kenya and Tanzania. We wanted to see the migration and also Ruaha in southern Tanzania. Taylormade Africa then booked all the accommodation, flights and transfers. From the time we landed in Kenya to being dropped off in Dar Es Salaam everything went to plan with first class service at every step. Clyde and the team checked in on us and are available if and when needed. The Serengeti is getting very crowded and you really need the services of Tailormade Africa to help you navigate the options and help make this an exceptional experience . Now how can we make this once in a lifetime holiday happen again. 5 stars to Tailormade Africa.

Amazing Trip organised to the tiny details. Can't wait to go back!
I've just returned from an incredible honeymoon in Zimbabwe organised by Clyde at Tailormade Africa. We couldn’t be more grateful for our experience with Clyde, his attentiveness and attention to detail from the initial planning to the moment we returned home. Clyde offered fantastic advice, tailoring our trip to include the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure across Hwange National Park, Zambezi National Park and Cape Town.
The safaris themselves were beyond our expectations. The accommodation options were beautiful, wildlife encounters unforgettable, and the level of care and friendliness of the staff was exceptional. The travel logistics were just as impressive — porters and drivers waiting for us at every stage to fast-track us through security and assist with visas, making the journey smooth and stress-free.
We were also impressed with the safety and health awareness in Zimbabwe. We were mostly located in relatively remote locations and low-density accommodations; with high hygiene standards we felt at ease and had no health concerns whilst in Africa. Everyone in Zimbabwe was welcoming and friendly, which added to the sense of comfort and security throughout our trip.
I would highly recommend Clyde and Tailormade Africa for anyone looking to explore Africa in a truly personalised way. We will be back in a few years :)

Friendly, reliable, understanding and thoughtful.
A special trip for me to return after 77 years to the country, town and nursing home (now a clinic) where I was born and to visit the house where I lived for the first 13 months of my life. Clyde was incredibly helpful in finding guides who were willing and able to decipher tiny black and white photos of Gweru, the Great Ruins and Victoria Falls so that I could see where my parents, sister and self had been.
Aside from that very personal experience I enjoyed some wonderful wildlife viewings on small safaris with local people who.took great pride (understandably and rightly) in their beautiful country. The accommodation ranged from delightfully quirky to utterly unique and beautiful. The staff were friendly and seemed to enjoy anyone who wanted to join in with the singing, dancing and music. They were also knowledgeable about the fauna, flora, history and politics. All of this added to a remarkable trip.
Clyde was always available to sort out a couple of tiny glitches and even arranged airport transport for me at the end of my trip even though I was returning from another country! Thanks to him and Tailormade Africa my whole experience was extremely smooth and trouble free.

An African safari expert.
I dealt with Clyde at Tailormade Africa having had him referred to me by friends I trust. My wife and I wanted an authentic, off the beaten track, "Hemingway" type of safari experience. We still want to stay in lovely places, but didn't want to share our experience with lots of other people. We were prepared to miss out on seeing some of the big favourites if it meant seeing more of the real, unspoilt Africa.
Cylde at Tailormade really listened to us during our briefing. We discussed and considered Zambia in some detail, but eventually plumped for two camps in Ruaha, one of the biggest, yet one of the least popular parks in Tanzania.
Our experience in the two camps and on safari exceeded our lofty expectations. The land was full of drama and in our second camp, we didn't see another vehicle at all during the four days we were there. We had amazing experiences with numerous wild animals and it is a trip that will live with us for the rest of our lives.
Clyde hit the brief perfectly. He understood what was important to us and delivered on it. All the smaller details were taken care of, from the bottle of fizz waiting for us to mark our 25th wedding anniversary at the first camp, down to the fast tracking through customs on the way home, when we had three flights back to London. My wife and I have travelled extensively in our lives and this was the best holiday we've ever had. Enough said.

We had an amazing experience with Tailormade Africa, real partner in planning our trip - real good balance of fulfilling our wishes while matching their background and knowledge. The camps where we stayed exceeded our expectations and the staff was extremely well prepared and reliable to guide us on game rides as well as entertain us.
Communication with Clyde (Tailormade Africa) was excellent - all our questions were timely answered and issues resolved seamlessly (e.g. my luggage didn't arrive from Amsterdam, Clyde ensured it waits for me in the next camp).
Overall, great value for money.

Perfect in every way!
This was our very first trip to Africa so we left it up to Tailormade Africa to plan everything for us! What a great decision! EVERYTHING was so well planned and executed with outstanding communication, service, reliability and value for our well spent money. Clyde went above and beyond to make sure our wishes were fulfilled. Our service was impeccable and the accommodations were excellent. We were so happy with our tours and would not hesitate to recommend Tailormade Africa to anyone and everyone planning on going on safari. This was our first trip but it won’t be our last!

Fantastic Zambian Adventure
My wife and I recently returned from a 2+ week trip to Zambia that we planned in conjunction with Clyde Beaty at Tailormade Africa. Having made a number of previous trips to various destinations in Africa we were looking for a new location to visit and Clyde suggested Zambia. We didn't know a great deal about Zambia but Clyde talked us through it and suggested some specific destinations for our trip. We settled on 4 different camps in Kafue, South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi. We were delighted with each of the destinations and with each of the camps, which turned out to be 5 camps instead of the 4 planned. More on that later.
The camps that Clyde selected for us were perfect for our tastes. They were all small (3-6 rooms) and each of them had great locations that blended in with their surroundings very well. The camps were sufficiently rustic to be authentic but with just the right amount of luxury to be exceedingly comfortable without being fussy or precious. The service at each of the camps was outstanding. The staff was warm and friendly at all the camps and anticipated all of our needs and wants without being obtrusive. Everywhere we stayed was very clean and comfortable and the food everywhere was amazing. Clyde hit just the right note and we were very happy with all of the places we stayed.
We found the wildlife in Zambia to be amazing and abundant.
We saw all the major species that we expected including lots of lions and leopards, (sightings literally every day). We also saw less expected wildlife such as a pack of wild dogs, including cubs. Notably, our wildlife viewing was never disturbed by large numbers of safari vehicles all crowding the animals to get a better view. The most other vehicles we saw a one time was 4 and even that was an exception. We were most often the only vehicle in sight. The bird life was as prolific as the mammals. We re able to do boat and walking safaris in addition to traditional game drives which was very nice. All of the guides we had were first rate, extremely capable and knowledgeable .
When we got to our second camp, I received a message to call Clyde. It seems that the kitchen in our third camp burned down and we could no longer stay there. Clyde had already sorted the problem for us and despite being peak season had as booked in new suitable accommodations. We had to stay 1 night in one place and 2 nights in the other but other than a minor inconvenience, it turned out well because we got to experience 2 great new places also surrounded by great game viewing. They were great. Kudos to Clyde.
The transfers were well-arranged and went off without a hitch.
So, our entire trip was fantastic and exceeded our expectations in every respect.
It's worth noting that we had no health issues while we're in Zambia. All of the camps where we stayed had either bore holes (wells) or reverse osmosis water treatment and so the water was safe to drink from the tap. While family and friends expressed some concern for us on other health risks such as Covid-19 or ebola, we stayed healthy and in fact were never in a situation where we felt at risk. We talked with guides and camp personnel specifically about Covid-19 and all had received vaccines and were very conscious of good practices to stay safe. It our experience it appears that Zambia is doing a very good job of managing public health.
