Knowledgeable, very family friendly and catering to our interests.
My family and I enjoyed a fantastic safari to Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater with Allen Tanzania Safaris. We were a group of seven which included 4 teenagers. We each had an incredible experience.
Our guide shared so much of his knowledge - not just about the animals, but also about the parks, the geology, the flora, Tanzanian ethnic groups and Tanzanian heritage. He responded to our many questions and engaged us with plenty of interesting information about what we were seeing. We heard fascinating accounts of animal behaviour… and we even learnt some Swahili songs!
We had particular interest in the bird life in the parks and he catered perfectly for this and even kept a record of the 57 species that we saw - sharing his list at the culmination of our trip!
The lodges were beautiful with stunning gardens and swimming pools. One lodge was particularly teenage friendly with a basketball hoop, and volleyball court as well as a pool. The staff in every lodge were super welcoming, the rooms were comfortable and clean, plus the food was delicious!
The safari cruiser was reliable, comfortable and afforded great views of the parks especially when we popped the roof. We felt safe throughout, and respect for our surroundings was consistent.

We shared some unforgettable moments with Allen Tanzania Safaris
We wanted a personalized private safari with travel between the different parks by bush taxi plane to limit the tiring transfers between the different parks.
I can only recommend this solution, which allows you to make the most of the safari.
We selected Allen out of 7 other agencies because of the quality of their advice and their ability to listen.
Allen remained very flexible regarding the adaptations we wanted to make to the trip, and responded to all our requests.
We did a 7-day safari.
Departure from Arusha by plane to Kuro in Tarangire. Safaris in the Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro reserves. Then transfer by plane to Seronera in the center of the Serengeti. We continued with a 3-day safari in the north and center of the Serengeti.
We were lucky enough to be able to admire some extraordinary wildlife in vast of varied landscapes.
We saw the big five as we should, but also all the other animals such as hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, a multitude of gazelles, an impressive number of elephants, not forgetting the countless birds and rich flora. In the north of the Serengeti, we were very lucky to come across the great wildebeest migration returning from Kenia at this time of year.
Perfect time of year to visit the Serengeti, with pleasant temperatures and cool nights. Despite the period of light rain, we only had 10 minutes of rain during the whole safari.
A big thank you to our two guides, Emanuel and Armani, who shared the task of accompanying us throughout our safari in their recent jeeps, which were put through their paces on the roads and tracks of the Serengeti (massage guaranteed). They shared their passion with us.
We have absolutely no regrets about our choice and can only recommend Allen Safaris.

High-end, Luxury Safari with Allen!
My wife and I had an incredible Safari experience with Allen. We vetted several different operators and spent quite a bit of time researching - we are so glad we went with Allen. A few things to highlight for others in a similar position:
- High Touch - Allen is a family run operation; other operators were large with separate sales and operations teams. With Allen it was all connected, personalized, and high-touch. Eva from the planning team was able to accommodate all our preferences and needs and everything was seamless.
- Amazing Guides - Ebenezer was simply outstanding. Very knowledgeable and professional. Was always one step ahead of our needs and always was mindful of all of the small things. Was super flexible and made each day the best experience possible. We had a blast with Ebenezer!
- Quality Cars - We initially overestimated this, but the cars make a huge difference. Allen's cars were spacious, had AC, had WiFi, headrests and extra cushion. Makes a big difference given the amount of time you spend in the car.
No Hassle - Allen took care of everything. The flights, the hotels, the balloon ride, food, snacks, etc. Everything we needed was prepared for us!
Overall, we had an incredible experience. If you are seeking a luxury, high quality safari, go with Allen.
