Excellent Safari experience of our lifetime
I was in a 10 Days tour in Tanzania with my friend Kate Huber. Mr Donatus organized excellently every tip for us . We had a 5 Days tour to Mount Kilimanjaro through Marangu Route. This was our dream and we really enjoyed to the maximum. The Guide, the Cook and Laggage Helpers were very very friendly. Mount Kilimanjaro is beautiful through this Company. Our safari to Mikumi and Boat trip in Selous were amazingly a dream comes true. Lastly we had a short beach Experience in Zansibar. "What a Paradise on earth!". We thank very much this Company and all the workers and we really recommend people to travel with them because you will never regret.

Great Safari Experience on a Budget!
For the price that my group paid, this was a great way to experience a safari in a decent amount of time. Our tour experience was 2 days 1 night and we saw everything we wanted to see within that time frame. This tour exceeded my expectations with the amount of quality service that was provided for us during our time. My group booked the tour 3 days before we actually went and the company organized everything efficiently, which was nice especially since it was short notice. Highly recommend!

Selous Ngalawa Camp; Fantastic Safari experience of our life
Our Safari Guide Leonard was extremely increadible. Full of knowlege, with an eagle eye for spotting animals, including all the four of the Big Five that they have in Mikumi N.P.The Park is gorgeous andstaying in the Lodge just in the Centre od everything was amazing. We woke up to the three Elephants hanging out about 5 feet away from our room and could hear the lions roaring at night. They set up a fire pitfor us and we had a great time talking to some of the Staff. It was a really a FIVE STAR safari. In a very special case, we congratulate Mr. Donatus for organizing this for us.We will not hesistate to recommend Ngalawa Safari Camp to ourfriends and anyone interested with safari ni Mikumi Park in Tanzania.

Absolutely amazing tour and tour guide!
We got picked up directly from our hotel and drove to the Mikumi National Park. Our tour guide was really great. He knew a lot about the animals and the way they are living inside the nature of the park. He was very respectful of the environment and the animals. We were really lucky to see so many animals. We can totally recommend our Guide William!

Perfect experience that we’ll never forget!
We did the three-day safari (by boat, by jeep and on foot). It was a fantastic experience that I absolutely recommend to everyone! Our tent was clean and comfortable, the driver who accompanied us, William, was very kind and always explained everything to us in detail. Really recommended!

Great experience
We took 2 days safari to Mikumi. They picked us at the airport DAS, and it was really easy to arrange as communication went smoothly. We started a trip to Mikumi park around 5am and were there around 2pm. A long trip, but nice experience to see the local villages all the way on the road to Mikumi.
Accommodation and food in the park are very decent. We had one afternoon tour on the first day in the park, one next they early in the morning, and there was possibility for another one after breakfast but we skipped that one. Our driver, Raj was very nice, and helpful. He knew all the information about the park and animals. Amazing experience for sure.
The only thing which was not communicated well with us from the beginning was a travel time from airport to park and back. It was told 5h but actually it is around 8h so plan good the trip, we almost missed last ferry for Zanzibar.

A budget safari with some challenges
We booked this safari well in advance with Donatus from 'selousrufijihippoadventure' who works with Ngalawa Camp. We tailor made the safari to be 4 days including a boat safari, 2 days of game drives in Nyerere, a visit to maasai village and a walking safari. Our day 1 drive from Dar Es Salaam to the camp took about 6hrs. It had rained the night before so our car got stuck in the mud twice and had to be pulled out with some help of locals. We also spent 2hrs just getting out of Dar as the "guides" went to do their foodbuy for the trip after picking us up. The person who was our driver was also told to be our "guide" but throughout the whole 4 days he did not give us any information and was purely the driver. In Ngalawa we got another local expert who joined us for the boat safari and the game drives. The boat safari was really nice and we enjoyed it a lot. On Day 2 we got a bit unlucky as it was raining and we didn't see so many animals during the game drive. In the morning we got stuck in the mud again and had to be pulled out with some help. To be noted, our safari car was not a 4 wheel drive so it got stuck very easily and our driver wasn't experienced with driving in mud. After lunch our driver headed to a route where we specifically told him not to go as we had seen the condition of the road. Immediately after we got stuck in the mud and spent the next 3hrs trying to push the car out of it without any success. Our local guide didn't have a radio to call for help and the mobile reception was coming and going. This part especially felt quite unsafe. He told us that some help was coming but didn't know when and after 3hrs trying to push the car out of the mud we ended up hitchhiking 50km on a truck to get to the gate of the park and to get out before dark. During the Day 3 game drive we told our driver to stay only on routes that didn't give us a chance to get stuck. Of course this limited our chances of seeing all possible animals. In the end of the day we visited a nearby maasai village. This visit wasn't really planned beforehand and the maasai didn't seem to know that we were coming. On Day 4 we did a morning walking safari with Didi who was a great character! He really made the walking safari very interesting and fun! The Ngalawa Camp itself was nice and the staff were friendly. It would have been nice to have a choice of dishes for meals instead of set plates. Our drive back to Dar took about 5hrs and in the end we had to renegotiate the price of the safari due to the circumstances.
