A 10-Day Safari to Remember!
I arranged our safari directly with Martin, as it was important to me that we supported a local individual in Kenya rather than a giant corporate holiday firm.
Martin was incredible from the very initial enquiry and throughout our tour. He was great at communicating and helped me to create a bespoke 10-day tour visiting multiple places including Samburu National Reserve, Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Lake Nakuru National Park, Masai Mara National Reserve, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli National Park. He allowed me to ask a billion questions about the activities we could include (boat ride, walking safari, chimpanzee sanctuary, feeding Baraka the Black Rhino at a Rhino sanctuary and a masai village visit), change the accommodation to ones I’d picked personally and managed to help me keep a balloon ride and champagne breakfast in the Masai Mara a secret from my other half.
Martin’s knowledge of the animals is brilliant, and he happily answered all my questions about the animals, parks, local culture and country. We had Martin and the Land Cruiser to ourselves the entire time and Martin made sure we had plenty of time gazing at the animals we enjoyed most, never rushing us on to go elsewhere. We had a great giggle with Martin the entire time.
Martin works incredibly hard, he is very passionate about what he does, and this is very clear in his approach to work.
My advice to Brits – don’t feel you need to get a package deal, book your flights direct, get a hotel near the airport with a shuttle service and Martin will be there, ready and waiting to pick you up the following morning.

From the early planning stages, to the days after our seven-day safari where Martin accompanied me to a non-profit assisting women and girls in need to whom we wanted to donate.......everything was arranged with care, tailored to our needs and beyond amazing. Communication was excellent from to get go. We embarked on our adventure with our 14 year old son. Although we had fantasized about what we would do and see during our Safari to Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru, the actual experience exceeded every expectation we could have had. Martin is a most pleasant gentleman to spend a week in a Landcruiser with; we feel extremely lucky to have had him as our guide. He is humble, upbeat, very knowledgeable about all we saw, patient to answer all our questions, observes needs and wants of the different family members (important with a 14 year old) and adjusts plans accordingly. He knows the parks extremely well and through his connection with other Safari guides, always got us to where the action was. We saw more animals than we could ever imagine, everything we really hoped to see and much, much more. Our camps and lodges were amazing and the setting was beautiful. We felt welcome and happily returned to our camps and lodges when tired after the game drives. This was by far the best trip of our life, and we have travelled quite a bit. For this we owe Martin and Earthwings a humongous "Thank you."

Incredible animal experience, super guide, very professional, great price for solo custom tour
One of the best trips I have ever been on! As a solo female I felt safe all the time. Martin was reliable and created a custom tour for me that was perfect! He helped me to see so many big cats, the big five and the ugly five. He shared so much about Kenya and its culture and he even helped me organise the last part of my trip in Nairobi. Couldn’t recommend him enough!! Very reasonably priced too. Had an amazing trip

Excellent company
Beautiful family trip. 5 people including 3 children aged 6, 10 and 15 years. Excellent reception. We visited Samburu and Masai Mara parks and Ol Pejeta reserve. Every day we saw beautiful animals, while nursing puppies, playing, hunting, including the big five, and, in Samburu, the special five. Our guide, Henry, very knowledgeable, was friendly and also fun. Always professional. Everithing was well organised, starting from the pick up at the airport and throughout the duration of the trip, well organized in detail and always comfortable. Accomodations and meals were beyond our expectations.

Henry and Martin were very resourceful and considerate
The safari tour was perfectly organised and each step was a pleasure. Our guide Henry was extremely helpful and shared with us great stories about local life and customs. He was reliable and accommodating. Except for tips and some extra activities, everything was included in the tour package. We stopped at a variety of places, from camps to lodges to a resort, and all had great service. What an adventure! Highly recommended!

Wonderful
We had the most incredible time on our honeymoon with Martin making sure we were looked after so well the entire time. We managed to see all the animals that we wanted. My favourite were the elephants and ‘pumbas’! All the accommodation was amazing and better than any photos could show! I enjoyed the driving between parks too as we got to see some of the Kenyan culture and ways of life along the way!

Martin was always quick to respond and although there are so many companies to choose from we are so thankful we chose Earthwings..! What an experience we will never forget.! Martin and Johnson (who was our tour for our adventure) picked us up from a friends house in Nairobi in the 4x4 and although we originally chose the minivan we are SO glad we spent a little more and had the massive Jeep..! The journey was 5 plus hours with food/drink/toilet stops on the way - just make sure you bargain at the shops if you want to buy anything - one rule we forgot at the first shop..!
The jeep was so spacious and just what we needed for the days adventures on safari..! Johnson was such a friendly, knowledgeable guy who was happy to do what we liked and took us to all these amazing areas of the Mara..! We were so lucky to not only see leopard with prey in a tree, cheetahs and a cub, but also lions eating a hippo with lots of hyaenas around! So grateful to him..! We had 2 kids aged 13 and 8 and they enjoyed every moment..! Thanks for the best Safari I’ve ever been on..!
One quick thought - REMEMBER to take your passports! We didn’t get told but thankfully our friends could take photos and WhatsApp them to us..! The entry to the Masai Mara and the camp we stayed at, needed them..! The camp that Earthwings used, Ashnil Mara camp was AMAZING..! Great staff, great pool for afternoon dips in between the safari..! Thanks Martin and Johnson..!
