Great Safari
5/5

We had an amazing safari and our guide was very professional. The accommodation was good and the journey from Nairobi took about four hours. Out on the safari, we got to see all the animals you simply have to see – a magical experience. I can highly recommend Martin as a contact person – very customer-focused and helpful

A Journey of a Lifetime with Earthwings Tours
5/5

Our recent experience with Martin and Reuben of Earthwings Tours was nothing short of magical. From the moment they greeted us at the airport, we instantly felt that we were in exceptionally capable hands. They were not just our guides, but our trusted companions on a journey that unveiled the true wonder of Kenya.

Throughout our tour, Martin and Reuben were with us every step of the way—always kind, remarkably patient, and passionately eager to share every bit of the country’s breathtaking beauty. Whether it was spotting the dazzling array of birds, marveling at zebras crossing the plains, or witnessing the majestic presence of giraffes, wildebeests, gazelles, buffaloes, and even the elusive big cats, they ensured we didn’t miss a single moment.

They took us through the stunning landscapes of Amboseli, Naivasha, Nakuru, and the iconic “spotted plains” of Maasai Mara, each destination more captivating than the last. In Maasai Mara, they introduced us to the secret, untamed corners where wildlife flourishes—a raw, living museum of nature where every creature thrives and survives against the odds. Their in-depth explanations of animal behaviors and the fascinating stories of lion and cheetah families, shared from years of intimate observation, enriched our understanding and deepened our respect for the natural world.

Every aspect of our trip was carefully curated, from selecting the most enchanting accommodations to enjoying the yummiest, most soul-satisfying meals. They managed every detail with a level of care that made traveling with a group—including seven adults and two children—a seamless, joyous experience. Their exceptional way with children ensured that even the youngest members of our group were engaged, curious, and delighted by the magic surrounding us.

As we watched the last sunset over Maasai Mara, we felt a bittersweet farewell knowing that we had witnessed one of the most beautiful parts of this planet. The journey was nothing less than life-changing—a trip filled with unforgettable memories, genuine kindness, and heartfelt adventures that have left us longing to return.

Huge thanks to Martin and Reuben for orchestrating the best trip of our lives. Their passion for Kenya and its wildlife turned our adventure into a treasure trove of stories, laughter, and genuine human connection. We can’t wait to come back and experience their extraordinary world once again!

An unforgettable experience!

Our safari in Kenya was simply fantastic! From the first day of the organization to the last day of the safari, everything was simply perfect.

The breathtaking landscapes, the chance to see wildlife up close, and the excitement of every single moment will stay with us forever.

A special thank you to our guides, Martin and Frederic, who made this trip even more special. Their professionalism, deep knowledge of the land, and passion for nature guided us through a truly unique adventure. Always friendly and ready to answer any question, they made us feel safe and inspired.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for letting us experience the true spirit of Africa! We will come back very soon!

Brilliant professional knowledgable flexible and faultless delivery of magical experience.
5/5

Martin at Earthwings was attentive from start to finish. Great service, all our
our needs met, a brilliant driver with in depth knowledge of the Mara. Hence he provided close up views of animals and we learned so much. The accommodation booked was upgraded to the superb Zebra Plains Royal Camp. An oasis of comfort and service between safari outings. His service was worth every penny and the cost was less than many competitors. We cannot recommend this company enough. Book now for a magical experience!

Super Organized Tour
5/5

Did a 7-day solo safari from 3/8 to 3/14 (Amboseli, Nakuru, Masai Mara) - wonderful experience. The service quality is great with great etiquette, and the guide (John Macharia) was super familiar with every part of the national park. I have seen all the animals available. Simply amazing experience - highly recommended!

Well organised, personalised and really informative
5/5

We went on a 15 day safari in February. We ( my wife and I) were worried we had overdone the safari bit and might get bored - not a bit of it. Every day was different, varied and exciting. John our guide and baby sitter for the whole time was extremely patient (stopping the truck for every bird in Kenya) always managed somehow to get the best spot and rather than bagging animals was happy to stop and spend time absorbing both the animal and the environment. The lodges were all great to fantastic ( Especially Sopa Lake Naivasha and Maisha at Ol Pejeta). Only downside was the travelling in between parks but I don’t think Earthlings can do anything about that!! Stand out park for us was Samburu, the landscape and variety of animals and birds was out of this world. Thanks to Earthwings and especially John for looking after us so brilliantly.

Unforgettable Safari experience with Earthwings – Our Guide Was Basically a Superhero!
5/5

If you're looking for a top-notch, hassle-free safari experience, stop searching and book with Earthwings Tours and Safaris. Seriously. This small-scale, locally run company in Nairobi, led by the ever-reliable Martin, delivers big on service, transparency, and flexibility. From the moment we requested a quote for our 7-day trip to the second we touched down in Kenya, Martin was always available, answering every question (and there were MANY) with speed, accuracy, and patience.

Customization? No problem. We tweaked the itinerary, upgraded a few lodges, and adjusted transport—all for very reasonable extra costs. Martin even gave us insider tips on train travel and lodge options, making sure our trip from Nairobi to Mombasa was perfectly tailored.

Then came the real adventure.

Meet Ruben - our driver, guide, wildlife whisperer, and certified legend. Right on time, he picked us up, and off we went on our 8-day private safari through Maasai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, Amboseli, and Tsavo East in a rugged Toyota Land Cruiser (fully equipped with charging ports for our camera gear and kept immaculately clean).

Ruben wasn’t just a guide—he was a human binocular with built-in radar for spotting big cats. Seriously, I don’t know how he did it, but within two days, we had seen the Big Five AND the Ugly Five. He wouldn’t rest until we’d ticked off at least four different cats a day, and we drove from sunrise to sunset without ever feeling rushed. His local connections? Also a huge plus—especially when we needed a little extra time at the park gates.

And the lodges? Even the mid-range ones felt luxurious to us! Everything was well-organized, the service was fantastic, and we couldn’t have asked for a smoother ride.

We had such a blast that, after our safari, beach time in the south, and some final days in Nairobi, we booked an extra day in Nairobi National Park—just to go on one more game drive with Ruben!

Bottom line: Earthwings Tours & Safari delivers an unforgettable experience. Great communication, fantastic guides, and fair pricing. If you want an authentic Kenyan safari with people who genuinely care about your experience, book with these guys!

To all future travelers: Enjoy your safari, soak up the beauty of Kenya, and embrace the warmth of its people. You’re in for an adventure of a lifetime!

The driver and guide Joe was excellent. During the six-day journey, we saw many wonderful moments, including cheetahs hunting, servals and hyenas. Joe was a great driver and guide, and I recommend him with five stars.

Brilliant!
5/5

Fabulous service from start to finish. Ephraim, our guide was such a nice guy who oozed experience and knowledge, we felt very safe both with him, his driving and the locations he took us to.
The first stay at Zebra Plains (little Zebra) was an oasis in the bush. The welcome from Joseph, Moses, Douglas and Martha blue us away, and the friendly nature of everyone there made us feel instantly at home. The food was excellent and the lodge we were allocated was lovely, quirky, cooled perfectly with the fans in the ceiling (over the bed and therefore inside the mosquito nets) and very clean.
Sarova Lion Hill reserve was the next stop and although very different, busier and bigger than the first, it was equally as enjoyable, offering excellent facilities with a big smile.
