I had an absolutely unforgettable solo safari experience in Tanzania, traveling through Arusha, Tarangire, the Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro area—and it was all made exceptional thanks to Friendship Safari Tours, run by Charles, and my incredible guide, Bruno.
The first day was a walking safari at Arusha park, it was a nice soft landing after Zanzibar.
From the start everything was seamlessly organized by Charles, which made traveling alone feel completely easy, safe, and stress-free. I could fully relax and immerse myself in the journey, knowing I was in good hands.
Each destination brought something unique—from the stunning baobab landscapes and elephants of Tarangire to the endless plains and breathtaking wildlife encounters in the Serengeti, and the dramatic beauty of the Ngorongoro area.
Bruno was truly outstanding—professional, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable.
Bruno is a fountain of knowledge of Tanzania’s wild life and nature.
As a solo traveler, I especially appreciated his attentiveness and sensitivity—he created a space that felt both safe and personal. His ability to spot wildlife was simply remarkable, often finding animals I would have never seen on my own, and he always made sure I had the best possible view and photos while respecting nature and the animals.
What made the experience even more special was the personal care throughout—from Charles’ thoughtful planning to Bruno’s intuition on the ground, knowing when to share insights and when to let me quietly take in the magic around me. Every moment felt meaningful, comfortable, and deeply memorable.
The selection of tented lodges and lodges made by Charles was absolutely great, it felt like Hemingway would pop up or Meryl Streep and Robert Redford .
This was so much more than just a safari—it was a dream come true, and even a bit of a spiritual experience. I feel privileged to have seen all these amazing animals and landscapes.
I’m incredibly grateful and would wholeheartedly recommend Friendship Safari Tours, Charles, and especially Bruno to anyone—especially solo travelers—planning a safari in Tanzania.

Our guide was Bruno he met us in the field and stayed with us throughout the trip he was a professional and made sure we had the most enjoyable trip possible, he has a sharp eye for spotting animals he explained about each animal and then he would park in the most convenient place for us to take pictures

My cousin had a great experience with this tour company and referred me when I started to plan my trip. Donald was reachable by WhatsApp and email. He put together a wonderful itinerary. I made Since this is my first safari, I didn’t know what to expect. Nelson was our guide. He met us at the airport and stayed with us for the entire station. He was a safe driver mindful of our safety on the roads. This is important to me as I was traveling with my children and we spent a lot of time driving from Tarangire to Serengeti. While being able to drive safely, he also has a keen eye for spotting animals. He’ll tell us which animal he saw and then park at an advantageous spot for us to observe or take photos. We had close encounters with elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, lions, leopard and even saw a rhino! We were lucky to see the Big 5 on our first and only safari. He was very respectful of the animals and never startled or chased them unlike some other guides. One of our duffles was left behind by accident and he was able to arrange for another guide to bring it to us a couple of days later. After our experience, I can say unreservedly that Nelson was a FANTASTIC guide. There were other large companies with more trucks out, but quality over quantity! I highly recommend this tour company.

FAA gave us an amazing well organized safari.
