Great organisation! Unforgettable Journey – A Piece of My Heart Stayed in Tanzania! Thank you!
5/5

Our trip through Tanzania was simply unforgettable! The accommodations were very well chosen – beautiful places, comfortable, full of charm and stylish design. The food was excellent in all lodges and camps. I would have loved to try a few more traditional dishes, as I enjoy tasting local cuisine – but I understand that the broader audience tends to be a bit more cautious in that regard.
One absolute highlight was spending the nights right in the middle of the Serengeti – an experience that was truly beyond words.

A very special thank you goes to Jordan and Boni, our two guides. Jordan speaks excellent German and English, and Boni’s English is excellent as well – he also practiced his German enthusiastically with our group. Both even became my personal Swahili teachers during the trip. 😊
They are both extremely knowledgeable – whether about wildlife, the country, its people, or culture, none of my (many!) questions were left unanswered. Their positive and warm personalities made every single day special. I always felt safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. Boni is also a great driver, navigating every situation – even those that seemed impossible – with skill and confidence.

This journey revealed to me a diversity and beauty I couldn’t have imagined, even after several previous travels. The combination of breathtaking nature, fascinating wildlife, inspiring conversations, and the energy of the people – especially our two guides – completely recharged my batteries.
I honestly didn’t want to leave and am already making plans to stay longer next time. :)

A very well-organized travel full of lifetime memories.
4/5

The trip was planned four months in advance with good communication throughout. Everything ran as planned, with flights and transfers on time, and the accommodation matched what was presented. However, the resort options in Zanzibar were very limited, which led me to make a direct booking.

A good selection of activity options was offered through the app to complement the itinerary. The guide/driver was professional and experienced, providing excellent game drives.

As a suggestion for improvement, a more thorough check of the vehicle allocated to the trip is recommended.

They Turned Our Dream of Tanzania Into Reality 💛
5/5

We cannot recommend Tanzania Specialist highly enough! From the very first contact until the last moment of our journey, we felt completely taken care of.

Our travel consultant, Alice, created a truly special, tailor-made itinerary just for us. Every detail was perfectly planned — from safari adventures to our unforgettable days in Zanzibar. It was not just a standard program; it felt personal, thoughtful, and designed with heart. She listened to our wishes and turned them into a dream journey.

And then there was our guide, Njuru — absolutely fantastic! Professional, knowledgeable, kind, patient, and always smiling. Thanks to him, we didn’t just see Tanzania — we understood it. His deep knowledge of wildlife, nature, and culture made every game drive unforgettable. He answered every question, spotted animals we would never have seen ourselves, and made us feel safe and relaxed at all times. You can truly feel when someone loves their country — and Njuru does.

Throughout the entire trip, we felt supported and cared for. Everything ran smoothly. Transfers, lodges, timing — perfect organization. We could simply relax and fully enjoy the magic of Tanzania.

This was more than a vacation. It was a life-changing journey, and Tanzania Specialist made it seamless and extraordinary.

If you are dreaming about Tanzania — safari, culture, Zanzibar paradise — do not hesitate. You will be in the best hands.

Thank you for memories that will stay with us forever. 💛

$2,000 charged for services NEVER provided
1/5

I strongly advise against booking with this agency due to a major breach of contract and dishonest dispute management.

The Dispute: We paid a $2,000 supplement for a specific Kilimanjaro extension (Horombo Hut). This service was never provided. We were kept on the basic 1-day itinerary, simply spread over two days, and never reached the promised altitude or refuge.

Bad Faith: Although the agency admitted in writing to an "editorial error" in their program, they refuse to refund the overcharged amount. They only offered a derisory $400 compensation (20% of the cost), which is unacceptable for a service that was simply not delivered.

Customer Service: Management refuses to take responsibility for their billing errors. Keeping $1,600 for a service that did not exist is not a "gesture of goodwill," it is an unjustified enrichment.

Experienced tour operator in Tanzania specializing in wildlife safaris
5/5

My wife and I, and my second daughter and her husband, all from the USA, enjoyed an exciting 10-day mid-range safari tour of several parks in Northern Tanzania: Arusha NP, Tarangire NP, Lake Manyara, the Ndutu region (Ngorongoro conservation area), and the Ngorongoro crater and a Maasai village. The tour was pretty much all that we had hoped for. We saw the Colobus monkeys and flamingos in Arusha. The walking safari with a ranger with a gun in Tarangire was fantastic. The Manyara best view lodge really had an awesome view and I even swam in the amazing infinity pool above the rift valley. In Ndutu we spent good time with a cheetah, and a lion with cubs playing and trying to climb a trees. In another place we watched an adult female actually climbing a tree. Leopard mother and daughter in trees. And of course, the main attraction, the great herds of Wildebeast with their calves. And Ngorongoro was a worthy climax of the trip. Fabulous views and variety of wildlife. The country was beautiful, the lodges and their food were all fine. Our guide and (Penwell) safely navigated us everywhere, was diligent in making sure we saw the things we had hoped to see, was a wealth of information, and made it all go smoothly. It was midrange in cost, so driving everywhere. Very good value.
