Smooth trip to beautiful Kenya
5/5

Me and my wife had a really lovely trip with our excellent driver guide Lawrence (Lawience). We visited Amboseli, Naivasha and the whole of Masai Mara. It was well organised and Lawrence was a very nice person to make the trip very smooth and comfortable for us. Ilias as the point of contact from start to finish was also very good. Overall I would recommend others. Thank you.

7 day Safari for couple + daughter. Johnson was terrific
5/5

We visited 3 sites:
Masai Mara (3 nights)
Lake Naivasha (1 night)
and Amboseli National Park game reserve (2 nights).
Johnson was our driver and guide. He has an incredible talent for spotting animals from far away with the naked eye, and is very experienced at figuring out where predators are by watching the actions of the prey animals (gazelles, buffalo, antelopes) .
Elias, in the Leadwood office was very helpful and responsive in helping us plan the trip, and accommodating our unusual pick-up location.
We saw all the big game animals including gazelles, various antelope, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes elephants, warthogs, wildebeests, and baboons in the Masai Mara. Predators we saw: Lions, Leopard, Cheetah, Hyenas, and a Jackal.
Also Hippos and a variety of birds at Lake Naivasha. Even more elephants and baboons were present at Amboselli, and we also spotted a rare Serval Cat, which
our camera captured in mid-leap.
The accomodations were also very nice, especially the Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.

Nice safari in Kenya & Tanzania
5/5

A very nice trip, Sami has lovely guided us to the Kenyan part, and John, in a quieter style managed to make us discover new things in Tanzania. The accommodation was almost too luxurious, but we adapted well :).

The trip of a lifetime and Leadwood made it all possible
5/5

The entire team from Leadwoood made this trip more than memorable. Elias, John, Remi, Roger, Tonny, and the rest of the team gave everyone red carpet service! From the first night to the last drop off, the service was totally seamless. They take great pride in their country and it's natural beauty and it shows in everything they say. Every question, no matter how mundane, was answered thoroughly and with a smile. This was my first trip to Tanzania and I didn't realise what a great sense of humour Tanzanian's have. Every member of the team was funny in their own unique way and enjoy a bit of subtle, good natured ribbing. Some of the drives were long and dusty, but never boring. I would go again with Leadwood in a heartbeat!

Outstanding, knowledgeable, caring and flexible
5/5

What a magical experience from arrival to departure! I can’t make enough positive comments about my experience in
Tanzania with Leadwood Expeditions. At very short notice, the evening before actually, they went out of their way to arrange a tour that I wanted to do that had not been included in the itinerary. What a team! The drivers/guides had an uncanny ability to find the animals and sights that every person has gone on safari to see, and they do it with class, easily negotiating a line between stopping long enough for those who want to watch a specific animal for hours , and those who want to move on to see other sights.
Their friendliness and attention to detail were outstanding and I would certainly recommend them to anyone considering an African safari.

WOW. Book with them now to guarantee the best trip of your life! Leadwood was absolutely perfect every single step of the way. Their communication, promptness, care, kindness, and professionalism during the planning stages was impressive. I coordinated with them to bring a group of 21 people and they ensured everything was perfect and seamless for everyone. Our accommodations and food were also better than expected- we were SO HAPPY! And the safari itself was breathtaking. Leadwood has THE BEST drivers and tour guides so you are guaranteed to feel safe and happy and you have the best chance of seeing tons of animals as the guides know exactly where to go and when. We literally saw every animal we could imagine! Our group loved spending time with Leadwood and we were so sad to say goodbye to the drivers/guides/staff involved. Our entire group of 21 people would give Leadwood 100% in every area and we can't imagine going with any other company. We all want to return to spend time with them again. Leadwood also has great pricing compared to other companies. Book them to ensure extreme satisfaction! -kyla

Amazing Northern Tanzania safari
5/5

Our trip was arranged by the manager Elias and our outstanding guide was John. Elias was amazing in setting up a ten day safari that fit our travel schedule and desires and in responding to our flight delays, missed connections and lost luggage (none of which were his fault). Once our lost bag finally arrived, he made sure we got it, even though we were well into our safari and nowhere near the airport. The itinerary he suggested, Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater were each unbelievable and every day presented us with a new adventures and surprises. The accommodations - a mixture of hotels, lodges, tented lodges, and tented camps - were all quite comfortable (some bordering on luxurious) while at the same time giving us a sense of staying among the animals we came to see.
John, our guide, gave us the perfect combination of looking out for the needs of a couple of 70 year-olds along with the skills and patience that allowed us to see some amazing things. He would start out early, but not too early, in the morning and had the knack of taking us back to the lodge for a nap or a swim when we began "running out of steam." We saw each of the "big five," some on numerous occasions, as well as dozens of other animals and birds. We had the good fortune of seeing multiple lions, giraffes, herds of elephants, the birth of a wildebeest, and a kill by two cheetahs. This was more than just good luck but also the result of John's sense of when to stop, wait, and see what was about to happen, along with his patience in being willing to wait long enough for it all to unfold. He was a fun and informative companion for each of the 10 days of our safari.
As much as this was a "once in a lifetime" trip for us, we had such a wonderful time we are trying to figure how we can repeat it.
