Blown away by this small tour company, their professionalism and willingness to accommodate!
The main reason for selecting this tour operator and this tour in particular was the fact that the itinerary was far less busy than the big tour companies. In our mind (and what we eventually experienced on tour) it offered more time at each stop, allowing for a better more relaxed experience while also still hitting all of the main attractions we wanted to see in the limited time we had. Initially we were hesitant about choosing a local company rather than the big tour operators because we were unsure of their reputation but Zambezi Expeditions did not disappoint!
From the moment we landed, the experience was professional and seamless. The team (especially Silence!) ensured we were fully prepared before departure, and that care continued right through to a warm airport transfer that set a wonderfully relaxed tone for the entire trip. From day one Zambezi Expeditions was happy to work with us to accommodate our tight schedule, changing tour dates slightly and switching attractions to match our needs and flights.
Our accommodation was excellent throughout (comfortable and well-organized) but the standout was Elephant Sands Lodge, which genuinely surpassed expectations. We actually ended up here at the same time as a larger tour operator (G Adventures) but had much nicer accommodations for an overall lower cost! For a camping-focused adventure, thoughtful touches like pool access, packed breakfasts, and attentive staff made it feel like so much more.
Our local driver, Francis, was an absolute highlight. Knowledgeable, personable, and wonderfully flexible for our group of two, he added real depth to the experience with his local insight and was happy to accommodate additional pit stops as needed.
The Okavango Delta tour was a particular standout — truly authentic, with gourmet meals served in the middle of the bush and even a night with local entertainment around the bonfire! Remarkable in every sense.
One tip for future guests: pack plenty of outdoor clothing and shoes for the bush walks. Other than that, we have no hesitation in recommending this tour wholeheartedly.

Great expierence on 3 games tour with Zambezi Expeditions
We did all our games with Zambezi Expeditions: 2 days at Chobe, 1 day to Hwange and 1 day to a Rhino tour in Zambia.
All were great, but you should really consider spending 2 days at Chobe: The acomodations were great, no rush in our apointments, and we made 4 games, total. It is a great planning from Zambezi Expeditions and you Will really enjoy.

Kept us comfortable in Africa
Francis picked us up from the airport and took us to the office to go through our schedule. They were SO accommodating which was appreciated because our kids are 4,7 &9 years old. All activities were wonderful, safe and very exciting. Our activities in Zimbabwe (stayed at Rainbow hotel) were Vic Falls tour, walking with Cheetahs, sunset cruise on the Zambezi, Drum show with dinner, and river rafting. Then we headed to Botswana and did 2 days in Chobe, then stayed at Elephant sands, then camped in the Okavango Delta 2 nights. Ended with a Helicopter tour over the delta. (9 days in all) Francis was with us the whole time and worked with Oscar to organize everything to be smooth all the way until he dropped us off at the airport. All guides, experiences, food, lodging was top notch and was the best value we could find. Africa (coming from USA) isn’t for beginners and if you’re on the fence, 100% go with Zambezi Expeditions!!!

From the moment they picked me up to the final drop-off, every detail was perfect.
I had an amazing experience with Zambezi Expedition Travel and Tours. From the initial communication to the final drop-off, everything was handled professionally and efficiently.
The team was friendly, reliable, and ensured that every detail of the trip was well organized. The accommodation they arranged was comfortable and exceeded my expectations, and the tours were absolutely beautiful and memorable.
The team was incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive—they constantly made sure we were comfortable during the rides and at every place we visited, which made the whole journey stress-free and enjoyable. Every part of the tour was well organized. We had a wonderful time exploring Victoria Falls, and every experience—from the delicious food to the game drive and the boat cruise—was absolutely unforgettable.
I truly felt that the experience was great value for money, and I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a visit to Victoria Falls.
Thank you once again Zambezi Expedition Travel and Tours for the welcome experience.

Excellent planning and execution
We are a couple and did the Victoria Falls, Chobe, Elephant Sands and Okavango Delta trip which can only be described as a once in a lifetime experience. The personal service provided to us made it feel seamless, although we appreciate that it must take a huge amount of organisation and work from the whole team at Zambezi Expeditions.
The included activities as well planned, transfers were communicated well and groups were small. All the guides we had were extremely knowledgeable and had an obvious passion for animals and nature.
A special word of thanks to Francis who was our guide and driver during the longer transfers. He went out of his way to accommodate our every wish.
We really appreciated how Zambezi Expiditions was able to personalise our trip and we enjoyed being either alone as a couple or in a small group for the game drives and boat safaris.

The day l will never forget
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My husband and I had the most incredible experience on this boat cruise for our honeymoon! From the moment we stepped on board, everything was seamless and beautifully organized. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel so special — it truly felt like a personalized experience.
The views were absolutely breathtaking, especially during sunset, and the ambiance on the boat was romantic and relaxing. The food and drinks were delicious, and every little detail was perfect.
This cruise made our honeymoon unforgettable, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a magical, romantic experience on the water. Thank you for making our special trip so memorable! 💖

Nice but improvable value for money
Good-meaning agency, especially Silence who took a lot of care of us pre-departure, and we went during the green season
Overall a few critical points we observed:
1. the list of payed add-ons has low value for money, and we believe it catered specifically to a particular type of (red, white & blue) tourists
2. We don’t understand why so many meals were excluded: they could add it on top of the Safari package price for an additional +10% difference, a risk we feel not worth the major extra bother of autonomy imposed onto the customers itself.
3. WhatsApp comms with the agency didn’t work while on tour, relied on agency guide on tour (when available). Had to arrange to a cab ourselves go for dinner in VFalls, owing to miscommunication.
4. Little proactivity from agency guide on tour, available mainly when prompted, clarity with briefing can improve significantly.
5. Overall, it’s quite poor in terms of game drives, we added 2 extra bringing the total to 4 drives, to extract maximum wildlife exposure time. The game drives plan per se needs revisiting, as they planned a jeopardisingly-late departure at 8am instead of common practice ~5.30-6am for a morning game drive. We also felt that 2 days in VFalls were too many as we only cared for the falls there.
6. On the bright side, the Hwange Safari Lodge accommodation was magnificent and highly recommended for a stay, and the last-mile guides (on game drives, at the falls, on the Zambezi cruise) were very well prepared, kind and available.
