Seamless honeymoon experience
From the moment we established first contact with Gilmag Safaris, we were convinced that we were dealing with safari experts. All our queries were answered upfront and timely. Of all the companies we reached out to, only Gilmag Safaris was willing to share how safaris costing were reached at. We needed a detailed cost so that we could decide which activities to consider during our trip. Mary was always quick to respond and made sure everything met our expectations. All details of the trip were superbly handled from beginning to end.
When we arrived to the airport Nickson was already waiting there for us and welcomed us with bright huge smile. Nickson is one of a kind guide - very knowledgeable, eyes as sharp as a hawk, knows the animals and birds intimately. He had lots of stories about Tanzania. He was an excellent companion to spend the time with. We saw giraffes, zebras, lions, buffalo, elephants, wildebeests, rhinos, monkeys, hyena, and so many more. Our most unforgettable experience was seeing lions teasing buffalo and the extremely rare leopards 2 days in a row. We also had a very exciting memorable balloon safari in central Serengeti.

I would do it again and again with Gilmag Safaris – they are the best
My wife and I booked a 14 days safari to Tanzania. Mary was great about letting us know all of the expectations for travel, as COVID has changed the rules so we were prepared in advance. The booking process was easy and staff always ready to adapt themselves and offer the best experience. Payment terms were very flexible; 30% (refundable in case of cancellation) payable on confirmation and the balance payable a few days to arrival day.
On arrival at the airport, we were warmly welcome by Gilbert; in a well polished safari jeep. Our adventure included day trek to Kilimanjaro Mountain, visits to Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro, Serengeti and a honeymoon beach holiday in Zanzibar. We couldn’t pick a favourite out of these places as they were all so spectacular.
We both have a return trip to Africa heading our bucket lists, to include another experience with Gilmag Safaris. We would 100% recommend anyone to book via Gilmag Safaris. A big thank you to Mary, Gilbert and the team.

Great customer care and wonderful safari
The quality of service provided by Gilmag Safaris was impressive and outstanding. It is probably very rare to give a 5* review on a trip but we feel Gilmag Safaris deserves a 10* rating. I am short of words on how to describe how spectacular our 12 days safari with Gilmag Safaris was. Every aspect of the planning was taken care of by Mary. There was so much attention to detail.
Our 12 days safari with Gilbert was excellent. The trip was fantastic. We got to see a pride of lions with cubs, herds of elephants, giraffes, hyenas, buffaloes, hippos, massive herds of wildebeest crossing and much more. The day trip to the foot of Kilimanjaro was unforgettable. The experience was out of this world.
Thank you Gilmag for making the entire trip so safe, smooth and comfortable throughout despite Covid-19 outbreak. I would truly recommend Gilamg Safaris. We will definitely be back.

Unforgettable Safari Experience with the best Team ever!
Me and my husband are great fans of traveling, and safari is one of our most loved experiences. We have been traveling with Gilmag Safaris in August 2020, which was very hard time for the Tanzania people working in the traveling industry, as there were very few travelers due to Corona, but at the same time it was great for tourists, as the parks were not crowded with the people, and there were no queues of jeeps watching the animals.
We booked our safari tour with Gilmag Safaris, as advised by our tourist guide in Africa, and we were absolutely lucky and happy to get Mary arranging our unforgettable tour! We also had the best guide Nickson, who has become our great friend during our trip. We felt like we had known each other for the whole life:)
We visited lake Natron, which is an amazing place! It is absolutely worth visiting even though the road is quite difficult. We went on the lake at the sunrise, which was the best decision, as the view at the sunrise is so spectacular. There are a lot of flamingos there, and the colors are so beautiful!
We've also visited Ngorongoro and Tarangire National Parks, where we saw a lot of animals and even the lion hunting a zebra. Fortunately, zebra managed to escape:) The parks are very cool!
As for the tribes we highly recommend to visit Hadzabe tribe. They are true hunter-gatherers, the people are very friendly, and it is very interesting to see how they live.
We have had very nice lodges and hotels. They also served very delicious food!

Exciting experience
Wanted to say big thank you to the Gilmag agency for the organization of a beautiful safari and very qualified skilled and experienced guide Junior! We enjoyed Tarangiri, Ngorongoro and Serengeti parks. Junior has more than 15 years of experience and showed us a lot of animals, helped to make them move sometimes and told us a lot of interesting and special things about animals. Thank you! Unforgettable experience
During the last part of our volunteering trip in Arusha, we planned to do a wildlife safari before returning home. We did a lot of research and settled on Gilmag Safaris due to all the positive reviews and recommendations. We made a phone call and physically went to their office to book the safari. The staff were welcoming, friendly and professional. We were taken through different carefully customized itineraries to choose from. With the assistance of a very able tour consultant (Priscilla) we settled on a 6 day safari. Priscilla recommended Kessy as our lead tour guide.
The safari itself was simply amazing. We saw lions, cheetahs, hippos, elephants and every other kind of big and small creature in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater; unforgettable experiences! We stayed at Marera Valley Lodge, Serengeti Serena and Tanzania Bush Camp. All were very comfortable, in excellent locations and with great food! Our guide Kessy was great too - extremely knowledgeable and very flexible in terms of helping us get the most out of our experience and try to see the wildlife we were most interested in.
