An Unforgettable East Africa Experience with Safari 2 Gorilla Tours
Planning a trip to East Africa initially felt overwhelming, but everything changed once I connected with Aron at Safari 2 Gorilla Tours. From our very first interaction, he made the entire process feel effortless. Aron was incredibly responsive—no question was too small, and every personalized request, from itinerary tweaks to adding new destinations, was met not only with enthusiasm but with thoughtful suggestions that truly elevated our experience.
Flying into Rwanda turned out to be an unexpected highlight. We were able to immerse ourselves in the country’s rich and complex history, take in its stunning landscapes and mountain views, and ease into the rhythm of the region before beginning our trekking adventure in Uganda.
Once in Uganda, Aron seamlessly handed us off to his colleague Danny—and we absolutely adored him. Danny took exceptional care of us every step of the way. He anticipated our needs, fulfilled our wants, and even surprised us with thoughtful touches we didn’t know we needed. His knowledge was astounding—over the course of several days and countless questions, we only managed to stump him once!
This trip was not only well-priced but delivered incredible value. Aron and Danny went above and beyond to ensure our journey was smooth, enriching, and unforgettable.
Would I recommend Safari 2 Gorilla Tours? Without hesitation—ABSOLUTELY!

Excellent and amazing
Meticulously planned and well curated tour. Extremely helpful people. Aron was always prompt to answer any queries over the many months that went into planning and changing of plans due to war. We discussed and added a trip to Rwenzori on my request on top of the 8days Gorilla trip and this was also seamlessly done. The hotels were top notch and food was great everywhere.
A special shout out to Mr Dan Byarugaba. The trip would not have been what it was without him. He was the driver, local guide and has now become a friend. He is extremely knowledgeable and went beyond his means to help me out on all requests I made. He also is an extremely proficient driver and his skills were at full display in the game drive where the car got stuck in mud. At least 3 other cars could not make out of the mud while I was in the park. Thanks Dan and God bless you.

Not recommendable
We booked a combined trip to Rwanda and DRC. The services in Rwanda were close to what was offered. In DRC, however, Aaron tried to rip us off. Instead of the 3-star lodge we had booked and paid for, they wanted to put us up in a room without any standard (no water, used towels). We had to spend a night there and really struggle to get to the lodge we had booked. The Congolese guide kept telling us that he had not received any money from Safari 2 Gorilla Tours and therefore could not pay for the services we had booked. Aaron only gave us completely idiotic excuses like Covid, no cook in the lodge (all lies, there were good staff in the lodge). Safari 2 Gorilla Tours is not recommended because they are dishonest and that is dangerous when paying in advance. 2 hours before departure we were suddenly informed of the change in accommodation, where there was no way of defending ourselves. Should tours deny this, photos of paid and received services as well as price and itinerary follow.

Communication was excellent and the tour operator was very responsible.
The tour operator, Aron was extremely helpful and communicative during the travel arrangements and booking. He was very flexible and provided excellent suggestions. The tour was very well run, and the guide/driver, Martin was very knowledgeable and responsible. Everything was on time and very well organized. As a single woman travelling I was never worried or concerned. And the accommodations were spectacular! Overall, an amazing 5 days that will last with me forever!

Incredible Trip
We chose Martin as our driver because, during our initial communication over WhatsApp, he came across as extremely knowledgeable and was excellent at answering all of our questions. I’m happy to say that our first impressions were absolutely correct.
Martin was an incredible driver who took great care of us throughout the seven days we spent together. He communicated clearly and consistently throughout the trip, helped us manage logistics, and made the entire journey feel seamless and stress-free.
Martin was incredibly informative, answering all the questions we had, from questions about the wildlife we saw to the history of the country. He even accompanied us on game drives and was often more informative than some of the guides we met. Along the way, he recommended fantastic places to stop and visit, which made the experience even more special.
The car was extremely comfortable and spacious, which made long drives very enjoyable. Martin was also incredibly friendly and professional, and we always felt completely safe travelling with him.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better driver or guide for our trip, and we would highly recommend Martin to anyone visiting Uganda.

Professional, responsive, flexible
Safari 2 Gorilla Tours (S2GT) organized the Gorilla Habituation trek in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (Uganda) for me, including itinerary, transportation (from/to Kigali), Forest permit and accommodation. Aron of S2GT was my point of contact to discuss itinerary, cost, payment timing and linking me to my transportation driver (Dan). Aron provided clear information and instructions, replied promptly to my queries and worked with me on payment timing due to uncertain circumstances (worldwide oil disruption). Aron followed my trip, in the background, from start to finish. S2GT’s pricing was also the most affordable of three companies I contacted.
Dan, my driver, was fantastic - professional, safe, knowledgeable, client-focused and an interesting conversationalist.
The Gorilla Habitation trek was all and more than I had expected; simply beautiful, humbling, raw and adventurous. The Forest Rangers from the Uganda Wildlife Authority — Chris (lead), Gideon & Chris — and the trackers (Michael, Meti & Silver) were professional, protective, skillful and client-focused.
The accommodations (~35 minutes from the trek entrance) — Lake Mulehe Gorilla Lodge — was in a serene setting overlooking a lake with a volcano in the background. The staff were professional, courteous and client-focused. The grounds were simple, pleasant. The rooms were clean, simple, comfortable.
All in all, Safari 2 Gorilla Tours did all they could to ensure my trip was smooth and memorable. Truly an amazing experience.
Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Safari 2 Gorilla Tours for your East Africa experience.

Perfect customizable tour for anyone in the Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya area
I was referred to Safari 2 Gorilla Tours by someone who had used them years ago. I wanted to make sure I was getting a reputable and legitimate guide for a trip that was to be a lifetime dream. I got just that and I’m so happy I did.
You can approach it several ways. Let them know some general things that you’d like to do as well as a length of a tour and they will customize something for you. I basically told them I wanted to see gorillas and anything else they thought was interesting. They made a great trip for me, mostly in Uganda, where I got to spend time with gorillas, chimpanzees, golden monkeys and so much more. I like to walk so, for example, they arranged a couple of additional walks with local guides to show me areas behind the scenes that I would never have found otherwise.
The accommodations were also good, locations were great and the scenery was spectacular.
I strongly suggest using them because they’ll give you a great tour and you won’t have to worry about anything. They take care of it all. Meals, transportation, lodging, entrance fees, etc. They know the area well and you’ll be well taken care of. Go for it and plan your adventure!

Responsive, dependable and good quality
We're very glad we chose Safari to Gorilla Tours and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. After researching Safari Bookings to compare companies and itineraries we chose S2G because we liked the itinerary options, price point, and they have great reviews. Aron made it very easy to arrange and happily accommodated a change to fit our schedule. Our trip had 2 gorilla treks, one in Rwanda and one in Uganda, a safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park, the Kazinga River Channel safari and the Mabamba Swamp to see the Shoebill stork, with mid-range accommodations (most were beautiful with stunning settings and views). They can provide high-end accommodation if preferred. Our 8 day tour began in Kigali, Rwanda and ended at the Entebbe airport in Uganda. Aron was incredibly responsive throughout the process and responded to my questions with good guidance and kindness. Our driver guide Obed was wonderful. He was warm, friendly, very knowledgeable, a former National Park Ranger, and made sure we had a very enjoyable and easy experience all along the way. We would gladly book with Aron and Safari to Gorilla Tours again. A couple of points that might be helpful to know is 1) to take more money for miscellaneous tips than you think you need. There are many helpful people along the way that you will want to tip and it makes a big difference in their lives, 2) our schedule was ambitious but if we had more time it would have been lovely to stay longer at some of the places and soak in the experience. Happy travels!
