Amazing Safari in Africa
5/5

Our family of four had an absolutely amazing time in the hands of wild Gaze Safaris. They were well organised from the booking through to dropping us off at the hotel and at the end of our trip. Special mention should be made of our Safari tour guide, Nurdin who was a knowledgeable, peaceful, friendly, sophisticated guy, and who delivered everything we wanted. We spent a 3hrs travelling to the Ruaha gate , spend two nights there , we saw the biggest pride in Ruaha the baobao pride , and many elephants , buffalo , and so many animals ...... Really we were so lucky to see three members from big five ,

Experience safari to Ruaha national Park with Nurdin our tour guide
5/5

I was so fortunate that the last 5 days were with Wild Gaze Safaris, And our exceptional guide, Nurdin

Nurdin was more than an experienced guide, he is a wise naturalist. Not only did he know the names and habits of every single animal and bird we saw, he knew the botanical names for every piece of Flora and fauna. And the man has bionic eyes! We came to know we were always in for a real treat when he would slowly pull our land cruiser to a stop and peer quietly out the window. And then he would point and say look right there… it's a female lion… it's a black rhino… it's a herd of elephants…. Then he would drive us closer, often getting within five feet the amazing animals we had traveled so far to see. Nurdin was more than a guide, he became a friend.

Our accommodations and food exceeded our expectations every step of the way.

I am longing to return to Tanzania and my 1st contact will be to Wild Gaze Safaris, with a special request for Nurdin.

Great trip to Nationalpark
5/5

Our trip to Ruaha Nationalpark was actually amazing. Nurdin found a lot of great animals and has much knowledge about the nature and animals. The best was: he is super nice, too.
I would recommend it to anyone as the trip was organised very well!

15 day drive safari to Ruaha NP
4/5

We started in Dar es Salaam aiming to experience more of southern Tanzania by driving and taking in a number of interesting sites along the way to/from Ruaha NP. WG provided a modern 4x4 open top safari vehicle driven by the excellent Michael. We visited Iringa stone age sites, Boma museum, Uluguru mountain range, Makumi NP and Ruaha NP. WG organised accommodation to suit our budget guide including the excellent Ruaha River Lodge. The NP accommodation can be regarded as a budget option suited to backpackers and self catering travellers. The lodges provided good facilities at very competitive rates compared to Northern Tanzania NPs. WG remained in touch throughout and responded to our needs during the 15 day Safari. WG are local to Iringa/Ruaha and are well placed to guide your safari in this emerging NP.

Wonderful Ruaha NP safari with very interesting side activities
4/5

We had a great safari with Wild Gaze Safaris to Ruaha National Park. We spent 2 days (one night) on the safari and saw all big 4, and so much birdlife. Amazing park to visit for one day. Would not recommend to go much longer as tour drivers stay in the same area around the river as the chances of spotting wildlife are greater there. We also went to a local primary school and although we only planned to stop by for 10-20 min, we ended up spending over an hour because it was so interesting. A huge plus to this safari. Afterwards we went to a Maasai village and although I was very sceptical of its authenticity at first, it turned out to be a great trip as we talked a lot with the only English speaking person in the village (he also spoke Swahili and Maa, which was reassuring).

The driver was the one part of this safari that could have been improved. Both me and my partner are conservation biologists working in Tanzania (Serengeti region) and therefore know a bit about the system. The guide was untruthful or ignorant about many things about the park and the human communities living around it. He was friendly and enthusiastic at most times, but the drive back he was honking almost nonstop, which is even for Tanzanians an odd thing to do. Hence the 4 out of 5 stars.

Ernest (boss of Wild Gaze Safari) is friendly, helpful, honest and straightforward, which was much appreciated!

Thank you for the wonderful experience!

3 night safari in Ruaha
3/5

The initial communications with Wild Gaze was efficient. Emails were answered promptly and questions where answered clearly. We booked a budget safari staying at the Tanapa Bandas in Ruaha National Park. While the bandas where clean, confortable and well located it was not made clear that there would be no options of food and we would be served the same thing everyday. While it was adequate it was not very tasty. The safari truck was comfortable and had plenty of sockets for charging electronics. Our guide, Ben, was accommodating, a careful driver and appeared knowledgeable. Overall a good experience and we would book with them again.
