First but memorable Tanzania trip.
5/5

We just completed our 8 day (7 night) safari in Tarangire, Serengeti, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Eyasi with African Wanderlust Adventures. Amazing Tanzania safari experience! They put together a package with mixtures of Wildlife and Cultural safari. Everything was excellent from our driver guide Noel, 4x4 safari Land Cruiser, accommodations and meals in the bush.
Noel's decades of experience in safari guiding resulted in us enjoying all the animals we were interested to see, including the elusive ones like leopards, lions, cheetah and black rhinos, and others, not to mention the wide range of birds.
Since it was my first safari and it exceeded my expectations. I recommend Robert's team for people who want to get a real taste of Tanzania safari experience! Much lucky if you'll have Noel on board.

Amazing team of Safari experts
5/5

It looks complicated travelling during this time, but we are very thankful to African Wanderlust Adventures team for making our Kilimanjaro Trek and Tanzania Safaris all possible and a lifetime experience. I live and work in Tanzania, but my husband is in UK. We were recommended by one of our family friend who enjoyed a family Safari with African Wanderlust Adventures prior the pandemic.

Robert was always fast in accommodating our requests with enough details. Before the Trek we were briefed and checked if we had all required trekking equipments. Supported with an amazing team, a cook and wonderful Guide both during Trek and Safari.

Am very thankful to the entire team who made it all possible, stay safe.

It was good, everyone was very kind with us
5/5

We had a 3 days safari in Serengeti and ngorongoro camp safari. Everything was amazing except for the fact our jeep has broken (happens frequently also with other jeeps) and for one game drive we had to split into two different groups. Besides that we have everything we were expecting to have.

Great hiking experience with a devoted and extremely reliable organisation
5/5

We spent four days hiking with Robert Dimbo and his guides. The first day was a 4 hour hike to the Meru falls, going back to Arusha at night. The next three days we went up Mount Meru.
Both trips were perfectly organised, with Robert and the guide coming to the hotel the evening before in order to discuss the hike planned for the next day. Especially for the Mount Mery hike this was necessary, because we didn't have the right clothes. We had set off with the European long distance hikes in mind, but on the top of Mount Meru it is freezing and often windy, so one really needs more to be dressed in the style of a Himalaya trekking. But no worries, Robert and the guide checked all our clothes and the next day they took us to a place where we could rent the missing equipment before setting off.
For this kind of trips, a lot more people are involved than what one is used to in Europe, but it is also necessary. For our family of 4, we had 8 porters, 2 guides, a cook and the first two days an ranger from the park. Thanks to this crew, we had great meals during the trip. All these people did everything possible to make it a great experience. Bear in mind to bring enough cash for all the tips, but they are definitely worth it.

Robert himself is a good organisator and a very reliable man, and I was especially pleased to see how he treats all his people with respect. This was a far more authentic experience than watching Masai dancing for tourists in their village.

For the hike itself, make sure you are fit. With my 55 years and average condition, I only made it to the second hut. I stayed there while the rest of the family made the steep night walk to the top. Nevertheless, it is a memorable experience.

A lifetime Tanzania trip with Robert and African Wanderlust Adventures team
5/5

If you’re thinking of booking a safari and Trek with African Wanderlust adventure, don’t hesitate, just do it! We were a group of 7 made up of 2 families with ages ranging from 18 to 50s. Our 14-day trip in Tanzania started with 7 day Kilimanjaro Trek and took us to the summit of Kilimanjaro following machame route. Then a 5-day Tented Lodge safaris – we really packed it in! The experience was exceptional from start to finish and reading other reviews it’s obvious that Robert works hard to maintain a consistency of excellence. As a Tour operator, Robert is so impressive, always responding to our need in favor of our interests. The Guide, Daniel as our leader during Kilimanjaro did an amazing job, motivating, supporting and always ensured we were all fit and ready for the next day, not to mention the cheerful compassionate crew and the cook.
During safaris we had another amazing safari guide Joseph. He has an innate love of wildlife and the bush. He has many years of knowledge and experience in tracking animals and is persistent, yet always very respectful of the animals. We always felt in safe hands with Joseph and we always felt that having him as our guide meant we saw the most game!
We booked the Authentic option, in luxury accommodations with real beds. The service from the places we spent our night was exceptional, with welcoming and caring staffs.
It’s hard to pick highlights as every day brought something new. But I will always remember the leopards mating in Serengeti, millions of Wildebeest scattered in the Ndutu plains and watching a lioness hunting to catch its prey in the afternoon game drive in Ngorongoro Crater.
Top tips would be to invest in a good pair of binoculars, and remember your bug spray, warm clothes, Imodium and of course a camera.

Unforgettable
5/5

Such an amazing moment and memorable experience during the pandemic.
It is my second time in Tanzania and again I couldn't hesitate to choose African Wanderlust Adventures after the great safari we had last time. When I was given an opportunity to suggest the tour, I convinced my friends to contact Robert, always available he fast responded to our request with enough details to help travel during the pandemic.
All I can say Tanzania is safe and I admired the precations taken from the airport to the entire tour, with Robert leading all the process.
Serengeti and Ngorongoro will always be my favourite.
I highly recommend African Wanderlust Adventures for great African safari.

An incredible operator that took care of all group's needs with true responabilty and devotament
5/5

I completely enjoyed my time climbing Kilimanjaro with the African Wanderlust Adventures, with Robert in lead of all process.

Daniel as our tour leader was always looking out for our unique needs and adapting our treks accordingly to suit the strengths of the group. His leadership was first class and indeed a very caring person.

Other Guides were absolutely amazing, they were always available when we needed them and encouraged us while safely pushing us to full potential all the way to the top of Kilimanjaro.

The food and service from the whole team was what you’d expect from a 5 star hotel and any extra requests of the group were catered for to the maximum.

After the trek Robert promised a short but amazing safari. I admit it was full of potential: 3 Days of safari that allowed us to see many wildlife animals and birds; not to mention the big five. Mesmerizing!

Tour was different from what I booked
1/5

I was looking for a tour sleeping in a ngorongoro campsite. and this was the only one, so i contacted and confirmed the accommodation. but the real tour, we stayed in a budget accommodation which was not where i really wanted. Moreover, other travellers we had tour together paid much less than we paid. I didn't need tour in tanzania cuz i did in kenya for several days. but i wanted to stay in the accommodation and that's why i chose to have one more tour but I wasted of time and money. What's more, I liked the guide but the car was too old that it broke down. and it took a long long time for us to drop off which was the worst time in tanzania.
