unforgettable adventure across Uganda and Rwanda
We just returned from the 3-day tour with Freka, trekking for gorillas in Uganda and golden monkeys in Rwanda. The trip was action-packed but still had plenty of downtime to relax after long hikes. Despite being a short trip, the itinerary was perfectly organized to make the most of every moment. From the initial briefing to the final drop-off, every detail was thoughtfully planned. We only had 3 days for the tour but if we had more, I wish we went trekking for chimps as well, we had such a great time.
Our guide Ronald was the best. He kept everything moving seamlessly. We were never out of place, late, hungry/thirsty, or confused about what to do or where to go. His expertise in navigating the terrain, combined with his deep knowledge of the wildlife and local culture made the experience truly special. He also brought us to some great restaurants and shops along the way.
The hotels were good, beds comfortable, and the staff put hot water bottles in the sheets to warm them up. Fair warning, internet/electricity not very reliable up in the hills in Uganda.
We had an incredible holiday and everything from the itinerary, guide, value, etc. was 5/5 stars. Can't recommend Freka enough.
