A magnificent trip, customised on our needs by Dutch people living in Tanzania.
Last week we went on a Safari in Tanzania with GreenHippo. It was fabulous!
The trip was completely put together as we wanted: a rather short stay with our four grown-up children. The Dutch people from GreenHippo are living in Tanzania and called us to hear our wishes and needs: timing, tour, lodges. They proposed a very specific tour and after another call we booked our flights and they adapted the stay on the timings of the flights. They are very clear and open in their communication.
On the first day in Arusha they welcomed us in person and gave us good tips on the way of living and visiting Tanzania.
It felt secure to know that they are around when something goes wrong (luckily that was not the case for us!)
The tour itself was overwhelming, fabulous, magnificent! GreenHippo works with local drivers and ours was the best! The trip depends on their motivation to get the most out of the safaris and when/where a stop is made to shop or use the washroom/bushroom ;)!
The accommodations they work with, are all special and sustainable, clean with good food and beautiful views.

A fantastic eco-responsible tour operator with customers at the heart
My family and I had a fantastic safari with Green Hippos. Already at the time of travel preparation, quite issuance and pre-departure contacts, we found the team pro-active, super friendly and eager to listen to our needs
During the trip we had the chance to interact face to face with Astrid and this makes a whole difference as she gave us all kind of tips and was ready to make our experience unforgettable
Our safari driver, John, was just amazing. He spoke great French and was adaptable and super friendly
Everything went beyond expectations and we highly recommend Green Hippos should you want to visit Tanzania. For sure we will recommend to all our friends in Europe

everything was perfectly arranged
it was a wonderful holiday. we didn't have to think about what we would do because everything was arranged. in the app we could see what was on the schedule and what we could possibly do extra. in the lodges everything was good and also in the safari car there was everything from snacks to charging points for charging phones. the service was great everywhere. when we arrived we were already awaited with a welcome drink and a warm towel. exchanging money is easy at the airport and there are also enough ATMs to withdraw something. in the tourist places you could also just pay with dollars. we enjoyed the holiday, Tanzania and greenhippo!

Excellent Safari Experience
We did a safari for 8 days. Pick up was from our hotel that we separately booked. All the prior communication with the people from Green Hippo was clear, with quick responses from the team at Green Hippo. We had a lot of conversations to create our dream safari schedule, in which they implemented our wishes very well!
We ended up spending 2 days in Tarangire national park, 1 day at Mto wa Mbu mountain biking trip, 3 days in the Serengeti national park and 1 day in the Ngorogoro conservation area. Our driver (David) was very experienced, and gave us a lot of information about the parks, the animals, the area and culture. The driver was very friendly, helpful, felt responsible for our safety and tried to show us what we were interested in seeing. Because of his experience we got to see everything we wanted to (big 5, big migration among many other things).
The accommodations were good, with good friendly service and food. Overall we are very satisfied with our safari, especially considering what we paid for it.

Fantastic, personal and well organized, great driver and guide.
From the first contacts during orientation to the tour everything was perfectly organized. Personal wishes were incorporated. The tour was great: beautiful accommodations, good care and as the icing on the cake our great driver and guide Silva. Certainly also thanks to him, with his eagle eyes, we have seen, experienced and learned a lot. We look back on our trip with great pleasure.

Great organisation!
We had an incredible trip: we were warmly welcomed by Astrid, everything was just very smoothly organized, locations and food were great and game drives way above our expectations!
I would particularly like to point out that our driver was soooo much above our expectations: he was a very competent guide, very good driver and wonderful person.

It was a great tour with great guides, very nice accommodations and all the sights you wanted.
We are happy to recommend greenHippo to others. The trip was well planned from the beginning and we were supported in a friendly, fast and courteous manner. The planning before the trip went well. Then our journey began and everything went as desired and dreamed of. Punctual and very friendly drivers supported our days in Arusha. Then we went with two cars and two guides on safari, Tarngire, Serengeti and Ngororo. the two guides were very good drivers and were always able to answer all our questions in detail. So we took a lot from the country and its people. Michael and Julius were great travel companions. The accommodations were all clean and there was good food.
