Communication is excellent. Service too. We did multiple tours with this company to different parts of Tanzania and were never disappointed. Very good staff. Very safe, beautifull country.

Saw four of the Big Five
5/5

I had a great time here when visiting with friends.
The drivers really knew where to find the animals, so we were treated to seeing lions snoozing at lunchtime and elephants frolicking in the lake in the evening. Throughout the rest of the day we saw all the other animals except from leopards, which apparently are only visible in the rain when they climb trees.
Accommodation was perfect. Lovely lodge with a welcome fan. Food was excellent. A fantastic packed lunch and I can highly recommend the pumpkin soup, which recipe I took home with me and made some myself!

Professional, reliable, friendly, affordable safari, we have used the many times.
5/5

We are a small charity that organise small group visits to Tanzania. As part of the experience our visitors enjoy a weekend Safari with Raha Adventure safaris. We have used them many times and would not consider using anyone else.
We are always collected, on time, as previously arranged and then driven to the National Park. That evening we enjoy a boat safari where we are treated to hippo, crocodile and many birds, the boat safari usually ends with a beautiful sunset.
The following day we do a full day game drive and we have never had a disappointed visitor. Lion, giraffe, zebra, elephant, just to name a few.
The accomodation, although simple, is clean and completely adequate with a choice between safari tents or charming African style huts. All food is included and is plentiful and good.
I would not hesitate to recommend Filbert and his colleagues at Raha Adventure Safaris.

Great accommodation and hospitality, well organised game drives and excellent food
5/5

We had a well organised and comfortable experience with Raha - comfortable rooms close to nature and a great setting next to the river. We went on a boat trip and saw hippos, crocodiles and many species of bird as well as the more usual game drive into the bush - knowledgeable and friendly staff in the jeeps with us.
The food was also very good and the general level of service was excellent.

What a beautiful place to stay. Accommodation is fantastic for a rural location. Food was lovely and they made sure they did Gluten free for me, i just took my own bread. The staff are all very attentive. The best part of our trip was the safari. Filbert and Franklin the 2 drivers, are so knowledgeable about the animals and the area. We saw so many animals. We did the boat safari up the river, I canot describe how wonderful it was to watch the sun go down over the water and more animals. The whole trip was excellent and very memorable.

Fantastic safari experience, comfortable accommodation, great food, super location.
5/5

This was a fantastic safari, we went on an evening one down the river, a day safari and a night one which was incredible, saw a leopard, aardvark, porcupine, hyenas, hippos out of the water! The knowledge of the tour guides was so informative and we had fantastic accommodation, great food and a gorgeous location. This was excellent value for money. I would definitely go again with Raha Safaris.

The complete safari was well organized and met our expectations! Many thanks!
5/5

We were a small group of five and had booked a three-day program at Selous Mapumziko Lodge with a safari in Nyerere National Park. The tour started and ended in Dar es Salaam.

The tour was well organized! The drive from Dar es Salaam to Selous Mapumziko Lodge took about five hours. The same day we started a boat tour in the late afternoon and could see many hippos – included a sunset. The excellent dinner closed the day very nicely. Next morning we started to the Safari tour. The Toyota Land Cruiser was the right vehicle for the trip at the end of the rainy season with a lot of water holes and muddy trails. Unfortunately, at the end of the rainy season, the animals are spread in the park, are not forced to come to the lakes or to the river and it is hard to find them. But it was our decision to book the Safari in the rainy season and not a mistake of the tour organization. Although we could only see a single elephant, some buffaloes, giraffes, and of course monkeys and birds, the Safari was very interesting. Again, a delicious dinner and a beer at the bonfire formed the end of a beautiful day. Our tent at the lodge was clean and we could hear the wild animals on the edge of the nearby river as we fell asleep. The third day started with a tour with bushman Didi, who explained us a lot about life in the forest. After a rich breakfast we had to go back to Dar.

Many thanks to Gilbert and Franklin for the good organization and the pleasant stay!
