Perfect safari!
5/5

We, 2 adults and our two kids, are still totally impressed.
It was our first trip to Kenya. We were interested by the many positive reviews. Wrote an email and after only a few hours we even received a Watts App call from Martha in the office in Mombasa! From the beginning there was a sound direct information and well-prepared tour to our liking. from very responsible, punctual pick-up to the really remarkable quick reaction after our 8-hour flight delay made us feel safe and secure right from the start. We booked the Comfort Lodges, which were all highly recommended. We have made the deposit by bank transfer in euros and made the balance right before the start of the safari. Everything worked smoothly !! I have to emphasize our driver Pascal here! Human and with lots of background information, he was the perfect companion for our 10-day tour. He has turned his attention to our wishes and made our safari a perfect experience. We opted for the jeep / pop-up roof, built to be sturdy for the roads, recommended for wildlife viewing and comfort. Natural World Kenya Safaris deserves every point and we thank you for a great holiday. At the end of our trip we were personally called by the boss to inquire about our safari and our satisfaction.

Jambo Isabella Titz from Austria,

The Natural World Team is glad that your family is still totally impressed by the whole 10days (9 nights) safari experience, on your first visit to Kenya!

Your tour manager Martha from our Mombasa Office, and Pascal your tour guide & driver who drove the sturdy 4x4 Jeep are also glad to have helped make this happen.

We aim to maintain our reputation as a leading provider of quality Kenya safari tours that match any budget & style. That said, we do have operational offices in both Nairobi and Mombasa, and wish to add yet more families, couples and individuals to the growing list of our satisfied tour participants.

Very professional, very good service, very experienced guide
5/5

Very happy with the service, communication, professionalism. Henry responded regularly through email. Due to his constant responses didn’t seem we were corresponding from abroad. The Safari Jeep we booked for 7 days was clean, in very good condition. Guide Julius was the best - knowledgeable, friendly, attentive.

The review below is the personal opinion of Mette Erichsen and not that of SafariBookings.
Terrible guide and vehicle!
1/5

At first it was quit rapid, swift reply and ordering the tour was easy.

It did a no time leave up to our expectations.
Not because there wasn't any wildlife, but becuase our driver who was NOT near being a guid was just unprofessional, and had not knowledge
of wildlife and the undead. His only method of finding something was to feel after all the others or via the radio to inquire about where something was. Even though we were interested in birds and told him that, he always drove past and it was more about rushing back and forth than seeing anything.

He shortened our trip in Tsavo West because he thought it was too hot. This despite the fact that at the time of day the lions can be seen.
Our trip got worse entering Tsvao in a car which should have been slanted. The dust came in all the way from and it was not possible to sit in the car and breathe.

We were actually happy when we got off at Voi train station and had to take the train to Mombasa, where we will be met by a driver from the company and driven to our next destination Chale Island.

However, it did not get any better unfortunately. We were met by an driver who was also a guide. When he found out we were going to Chale Island it was like a problem, he calles several time naming Chale Island and were upset. We would like to skip lunch and thus arrive earlier. We made this clear to him. But he thought the trip was too long train we needed lunch. Despite the fact that we insisted on skipping lunch several times, he did not. After a one hour drive we ended up at a restaurant. From the time we ordered to the food arrived, an hour and a half went by where we just waited as we arrived late for the buffet. He calls He is very rude and repeatedly scolds the staff in front of us. We feel we are at fault and are guilty of it all. He eats cake while talking while we wait for almost 2 hours for some pom fries and some chicken!

We stopped by a supermarket to buy some water and suddenly he came in to the supermarket too. He wanted a Cola he said, and by the counter he just put it into our basket. I thought he would pick it up, when we had to pay for our stuff. But NO he did not. We ende paying for it, and that made me angry. I did not say anything, and a fex dollars are no problem for me, men it's the principles of doing it in that manner! When we finally reached to place form where we has to take the boat to Chale Island, we both agreed that he should not have any tip at all, both for delaying us for several hours and for the Cola trick.

Then he just out of te blue says " come on, something for the driver"? I find this manner so rood and unprofessional.

All in all a terrible safari with the Natural world and a terrible trip that we didn't enjoyed at any time. Miserable guide, miserable car, then it can not be good. Waste of money and precious time.
We where on a budget safari in Uganda for 10 day before this, and has a great guid and a proper car for less amount of money pr day.
Would never recommend it at alle.

Jambo Mette from Denmark,

Thank you for joining Natural World Kenya Safaris on the 4 days (3 nights) safari visiting Amboseli National Park, Taita Hills game sanctuary & the Tsavo East National Park.

Thank you too for taking your time to review us and to express your dissatisfaction with the provided services.

We too are disappointed that your expectations were not met during the entire safari period as you have put it.

Our greatest regret is that for the 4 days you did not contact the company to raise any issues regarding the safari driver/guide or the safari vehicle itself, even with telephone and internet access throughout. We could have corrected/rectified the issue immediately if you had communicated the same to us.

During the safari booking process and even on our safari booking conditions, we have always indicated that you should contact the office immediately if anything is not right or there is a problem. This is so that we can correct the situation immediately, unfortunately you never contacted us in this regard.

It is very disturbing that you could spend 3 nights/4 days with a driver guide and safari vehicle that you do not like and not see the need to report the same for immediate action.

We would have been very glad if you had raised the concerns with a sequence in this review:
Like for instance, it would have been helpful if you explained the issues on Day 1 at Amboseli, issues on Day 2 at Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and issues on Day 3 at Tsavo East National Park.
You would have further explained if the driver/guide was rushing during the morning game viewing drive, the mid-morning one or the afternoon game viewing drive sessions.
This way, other prospective visitors would understand how safari is done and also the expectations.

Driving speed is limited to 30km per hour in the national parks and speeding may not be realistic due to the nature of tracks and the terrain.

The summary on game viewing drives in the national parks does not show the sequence and neither does it indicate the accommodation, meals etc. It does not also say whether there was a mechanical problem with safari vehicle or otherwise.

An objective review could certainly have focused on the entirety and fundamental aspects of the safari tour. On the second paragraph, you could have focused only negatively on your transfer driver who might have been too eager to have you take lunch after a long day.
Nowhere has the actual drive between Mombasa railway station to Chale Island been mentioned.

There is a negativity in the description of driver guide as obscure at time of first meeting, which may be a reflection of an unfriendly attitude.

Safari is interactive, and drivers/guides being human react or perform to their utmost best in a friendly atmosphere.

We sincerely regret that your expectations were not adequately met, and shall continue to do our best to keep on making memorable East Africa safari tours to visitors.

Mind-blowing safari with an exceptional guide!
5/5

Our safari was wonderful, it truly exceeded our expectations.

The wealth of animals, the changing landscape at each location, and the people of Kenya are at to be marveled at. We were fortunate to enjoy multiple views of lions, cheetahs, leopards, rhinos, and everything else you could hope to see.

We had many questions when booking, and Henry at Natural World was very responsive and helpful. Anytime we had a concern or question, he provided answers.

Our guide, Anderson Tiga, was nothing short of incredible. Our success was due to his knowledge of each area and his skill at navigating the vehicle in difficult conditions. On top of that, he's a wonderful person to chat with and genuinely cares about you.

We have nothing but praise for Anderson and Natural World. Thank you!

My husband and I used Natural World to book our safari in the Maasai Mara in August. Our driver George picked us up promptly in Nairobi and drove us to the Maasai Mara river camp. George was a wonderful guide and really made our trip special. We saw all of the big five in our 4 day safari and had a great time. George really tailored the safari to what we wanted to see do and see and he was a funny and knowledgeable guide.

Unforgettable life long experience with a great tour provider
5/5

We booked two days safari tour and half day tour to giraffes and elephants orphanage. The booking process was very prompt: I was getting the answer and detailed instructions the same day, immediately. This company is really customer orientated. Even when our 1st pick up point got changed, they arranged everything in one hour. The safari itself was amazing thanks to Mr Francis Kariuki. Good safe driver, giving necessary info on time, providing answers on our questions and even fullfilling our additional requests (we wanted to go to the supermarket). The good point your drop off area can be as per your request (hotel or airport). We were feeling very comfortable with Francis. The car was cleen every day ( safari is a dusty place), water was provided, monocles as well. Thank you very much for excellent service and lifelong experience!

Very reliable, wonderful safari, but jeep is better than van
5/5

I booked a safari six months before the starting date. The company is very reliable and I have always received an answer very quickly! Also the conditions and the payment via link were without any problems. The communication was excellent through all the 6 months and also the safari was amazing and the driver caring. Only the van was not really comfortable. The windows were quite small and there was almost no space for my legs. I would recommend a jeep!
Regarding the lodges: Since the daily safaris takes a whole day, there is almost no possibility to use the swimming pool (the Masai Mara Sopa Lodge closes the pool iat 6 pm), and also the gift shop was closed then. So I wonder if it is worth to pay a higher price for a comfort lodge when there is no time to use all the facilities and services anyway.

Jambo Sabine from Germany,

Natural World Kenya Safaris is happy to have served you from the time you booked your 3 Days (2 Nights) safari to Maasai Mara (Group Tour) six months ago!

Your tour manager Pauline kept you up-to-date and was reliable & quick to answer all your questions. She also guided you on how to use PesaPal, a very easy & efficient mode of payment. We appreciate all our well-trained tour managers who ensure the best customer service to our guests!

All our Safari tour minivans are specially customised for the challenges of the safari experience, ensuring your journey will be safe, reliable and especially comfortable. Still some speak of the 4x4 Land Cruiser Jeep as an alternative to the safari minivan. The Jeep stands taller for slightly better viewing and no one can deny the rugged appearance of this original 4-wheel drive vehicle. And when it comes to value, the minivan clearly has the ‘money’ advantage. For those on a tighter budget, the minivan provides much the same safari experience but at a lower cost.

The customised safari minivan has proven itself over millions of safari miles with thousands of satisfied visitors. Just as it did on your group tour with your caring tour guide/driver James Mwangi.

As most lodges & camps do, Maasai Mara Sopa Lodge has its swimming pool opened at 0600hrs and closed by 1800hrs, for the guests' safety & pool maintenance. During pool hours, the staff on duty are able to keep an eye on the pool area.

To maximise on all accommodation facilities provided, you are flexible to communicate with your tour driver to let you enjoy the swimming pool & gift shop in the morning and have a game drive later in the day, or vice versa. Though on our only Maasai Mara group sharing safari, it is not possible for flexibility, customisation and freedom. This is because you share tour vehicle transport with the other travellers, and are set to follow an already planned itinerary. It would require a unanimous extension interest from all tour participants for this to happen.

All in all, we are always happy to provide our guests private & bespoke tours, no matter the level of accommodation or choice of safari vehicle.

Karibu Tena for another tour with us, and feel free to customise it as per your needs.

Spectacular and fabulous experience, espacially thé Tanzanie part with our guide Peter Damasi Mimja
4/5

I appreciate all the experience, the guides (Peter on Tanzania part especially), the animals, lodges and services, transport, the amazing nature and the beautifull landscape.
The lunch were so so... chicken all days, in the sun in the jeep during 4-5 hours ! The Explorer Nature Mara Lodge was the worst lodge (no hot shower, broken bed, not enough food...). I appreciate to be upgrade twice, it was nice places (with pool and really good food), thank !
