Wonderful!
We have just finished a 4 day trip from Kigali to Uganda to see the Gorillas. What a wonderful experience in every way. Elvis was fantastic to deal with while organising the trip and Smith and Hilary, our guides, ensured we had a fabulous time from start to finish with lots of fun and laughter along the way. The accommodation was great and the gorilla experience was sensational. Thank you Lulu Safaris.

Trip of a lifetime
I cannot express what an amazing trip we had with Lulu Safaris, it truly was the experience of a lifetime. We spent 6 days with our guides Audence and Ben (trainee), and our activities in Rwanda and Uganda included gorilla, golden monkey, and chimp trekking, safari, water cruise, lake Bunyonyi, Kigali city activities, and much more. Everything about the trip exceeded our expectations. The beauty of both countries is outstanding, and Audence and Ben were generous in sharing their great historical and cultural knowledge of their countries. They were excellent guides in every way, and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience at all times. We always felt extremely safe and well cared for. Needless to say, the trekking activities were absolutely incredible, to see these beautiful animals in the wild was a dream come true. At every point in the 6 days we thought it couldn't get any better, yet somehow it did! Communication with Elvis in the run up to our trip was also very smooth and he answered any queries we had quickly. Overall, we could not recommend Lulu Safaris more. If you are thinking of booking a trip, do it! And ask for Audence and Ben, you won't regret it ☺️

Amazing experience
My trip with Lulu Safaris to Rwanda and Uganda was a truly amazing experience! During preparations, Elvis was very responsive and patient, as it took me some time to finalize the booking. Throughout the trip, my guide Sam was very considerate and made sure that the experience was the best possible. As a fenale solo traveller, I also felt very safe during the whole tour, which was a very important aspect for me. Definitely would do it again and highly recommend Lulu Safaris!

Amazing trip to Rwanda and Uganda with Lulu Safaris
I had an amazing trip to Rwanda and Uganda with Lulu Safaris. Elvis was professional and responsive in helping me organize the trip. My guides Samuel and Frank were fantastic and made sure I had a fantastic experience. Gorilla tracking was a highlight and I also loved the other attractions and the people there. Would not hesitate Lulu Safaris to others.

Look past the ONE bad review in TripAdvisor and look at the MANY great reviews!
Jun 2024 • Solo
I booked my trip May 13, 2024 for a June 2024 trip with Lulu Safaris Uganda not knowing much about their company other than their SPECTACULAR reviews. When EVERYONE is giving great reviews it says a lot about a company. I do remember seeing that ONE bad review on TripAdvisor from Madjula. There’s always one bad apple out there. When looking for a GREAT COMPANY to use for a safari or gorilla tracking don’t base your decision on this bad review. Look past it like me as there are MANY spectacular one’s. Mine included. I’ve traveled many times to Africa doing safaris and climbing Kilimanjaro. I can’t stress enough how important it is to judge for yourself when reading reviews. Had I not booked because of her bad review I would’ve missed out on a once in a lifetime adventure. In reading ALL of the reviews the guide she mentions as terrible was talked about positively in MANY of the reviews. I personally find it horrendous that such a negative review was given. An unhappy person trying to pull everyone down.
As for my review: it was nothing but exceptional. I booked my trip on a whim and Elvis, the owner of Lulu Safaris, was terrific. I changed my itinerary last minute and everything was still okay. He and his wife had my permits within a day. I did the gorilla habituation and regular tracking on my trip. It was a dream come true. As for air conditioning as Madjula complained about was no big deal. It’s Africa! You’re here for an adventure not to be pampered as if you’re in your own country. Live life and roll with the punches. Of the two hotels that I stayed at one had ac and one didn’t. Oh well! The one without was Bweza Gorilla Lodge. What the Lodge had was great people. Gavis and Judith made me feel so welcome and cared for. We had fires at night and had good fun. As I said, air conditioning isn’t a big deal. The fresh breeze was beautiful! The people make a difference not air conditioning. As for my guides I can’t say enough good about them. Charles and Stuart are their names. Incredible people! Charles is wise, super funny, a comedian, a dancer and an all around great person. He loves his job and communicating with his clients. It definitely shows. Stuart is a great photographer, soft spoken yet knowledgeable about many things. He’s caring and quite thoughtful. He gave me a gift at the end of my trip that is so meaningful. I will remember these “FRIENDS” for a lifetime. I tracked the gorillas with Stuart and he took many beautiful pictures of the trip. I’m truly going to miss the fun times! But as we all know all good things must come to an end unfortunately.
I’d like to thank Elvis, his wife, Charles, Stuart, Gavis, Judith for making my trip to Uganda very memorable. So much so that I cried at the end of my adventure.
I can go in and on but the moral of the story is that Lulu Safaris Uganda is a great company with great guides. They’re professional, funny, caring and love what they do!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

Seamless Adventure!
We had a great time with Audence as our guide. He was thorough and most importantly safe. Helped us with border crossing into Uganda, provided plenty of water, and tips on how to manage the Gorilla hike. Highly recommend!

TERRIBLE TOUR
I would first like to say that this was the worst tour company I could have ever taken. The tour guide Audence picked me up and off the bat had an attitude. He didn’t introduce himself, or seem
Enthusiastic at all, as I expect a tour guide to be. The tour
Company
Lies on the itinerary, I was supposed to do a few things that I didn’t get to do on the first day because Audence who was the tour guide thought that it wouldn’t work for him. In turn I didn’t get to do one activity towards the end, and other activities felt rushed because they weren’t done on the first day. I mentioned this issue to Elvis, who is the owner of the
Company but nothing seemed to have changed for the rest of the trip. The tour guide was not informative on any
Of the important sites we visited. He didn’t provide any information, only just pointed out the “names” of them. As we went to these historic sites, I had to google most information.
In addition to this, the company and the owner failed to mention that none of the accommodations provided had air conditioning or a fan. I mentioned this to Elvis and he acted as if he didn’t know, but when I asked the hotel they informed me that this has always been the case for that specific hotel. As we were driving throughout Uganda and Rwanda, I asked Audence many times about stopping to get something to eat, but we drove non stop from place to place.
This tour was a dreadful experience. Having to deal with a guide who had an attitude, and is uninformative shouldn’t be a guide at all. The company lies and should not even be taking any customers.
From the lies, to the unprofessionalism this was by far one of my worst experiences traveling 7 countries in Africa. Uganda and Rwanda are both beautiful countries, but I urge you to choose another tour operator with more reviews than this company has.

Posted on May 25, 2024Dear Madjula Tague,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent tour with us. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.
We apologize for the negative impression left by our tour guide, Audence. All our guides are fully trained, certified, and hold annual licenses from the Wildlife Authority. They also undergo regular refresher and customer experience training to ensure they provide professional, enthusiastic, and informative service. We regret that this was not reflected in your experience and will address this matter directly with Audence to prevent it from happening again.
Regarding the itinerary, we strive to provide all activities as stated. Our records show that all planned activities were conducted. The visit to the presidential museum was a complimentary activity done during the city tour, which you chose to decline when we offered on the last day. We regret any confusion this may have caused and will work on improving our communication to ensure all guests are aware of their options.
Regarding the informational aspect of the tour, our guides often allow rangers and site-specific tour guides to take the lead in providing detailed information to ensure you receive the most accurate and comprehensive insights. We apologize if this was not clearly communicated and led to any confusion. We will reinforce this practice in our communication to future guests to ensure a seamless experience.
Your feedback about meal stops is important to us. We understand the need for regular breaks, and we will remind our guides to be more attentive to these needs to ensure comfort throughout the tour.
We appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve our services. If you would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future.
Sincerely,
Elvis
