Trip of a Lifetime!
My son and I recently returned from a 10-day trip to Uganda and it was amazing! It was a trip of a lifetime! Everything went as planned from the time we were picked up at the airport in Entebbe to when we were dropped off to return home.
I researched several tour companies and I'm so glad I decided on Lulu Safaris. Elvis, the owner, was friendly and accomodating during the entire booking process. He answered all my questions and responded to my messages quickly. He even sent me their operating license and certificates with the Uganda Tourism Board when I requested them.
Our guide was Derrick and he was fantasic! He was very friendly and made us feel safe from start to finish. He drove my son and I over 3,000 miles in Uganda and seemed to know everybody. Derrick's driving skills were second to none. He always answered our questions and knew the best spots for observing wildlife. While driving to our next destination, Derrick would stop to get us fresh pinapple or "chicken on a stick" as a treat. He was not only a great guide, but we consider him a friend. Derrick even messaged us after we left to make sure we got home safely and to share some photos.
In summary, this was a "bucket list" trip for me and it was better than I ever imagined. The gorilla trek was definitely the highlight but everything else was terrific also. We saw so many animals and the people of Uganda are very friendly. The accomodations were wonderful and the food was excellent. I highly recommend Lulu Safaris and ask for Derrick to be your guide. You won't be disappointed!

Amazing Adaptable Safari
So we did an hybrid safari out of Kigali Rwanda. Includes Akagera, Bwindi, and Vacanoes (golden monkeys). Our guide was Smith and as the other reviews have already stated he’s outstanding. Very observant and quick to help. Also (most importantly) easy to talk to and associate with. He has a very mild demeanor and never showed stress, anxiety, or anger which is amazing considering some of the traffic he had to go through. If you’re going to be in a car for a long time that’s really important. As far as the safari itself everything went as planned. Gorillas are amazing and a must see. Only caution is the road to Bwindi is really really rough for 2Hrs. So if you suffer from car sickness beware. Unfortunately that’s the only way into the park. Akagera was fine for what it is. Small, fairly new park. Lot of brush and limited to staying on the roads so tricky to spot stuff. Would highly suggest going to Elizebeth Park in Uganda instead. Overall couldn’t be happier though. Picked the perfect company for the options we chose.

An excellent tour going some unforgettable places!
We had an excellent time with Lulu Safaris. Our trip went very smoothly, we felt safe and comfortable every night, the accommodations and meals were wonderful!
Smith, our tour guide, was very enthusiastic and helpful. He was a great driver on the game drives, very informative and willing to stop at every little bird or creature we spotted. He took us safely through the windy mountain roads of Uganda and Rwanda. We had great conversations when in the van. It was an unforgettable experience and would definitely recommend it!

Adventure and customer care!
I just completed a wonderful experience with Lulu Safaris. I did a 4 day trip starting from Kigali to Volcanos National Park to see Golden Monkeys, then to Bwindi in Uganda to trek Gorillas and then the last night and morning at Lake Bunyonyi. Most of my trip was with tour guide Smith who is gregarious and caring. He makes very clear that he is there to make my trip the best it can be and a once in a lifetime experience. He is an outstanding driver (on both the left and right sides of the road!) and can share both lots of facts and stories about the two countries and their wildlife and his own journey. My time with him was most excellent. I also was able to spend a short time at the beginning of my trip with tour guide Eden who is so kind and gentle and incredibly considerate to make sure he provided excellent service. Thank you Lulu!!!

It was a wonderful adventure. Elvis organized everything flawlessly and exceeded our expectations.
It was an unforgettable trip, organized by Elvis down to the last detail. Everything went very smoothly. Above all, we would like to thank our extremely warm and friendly guide, Allen Smith, who gave us unforgettable moments and provided us with many wonderful impressions and information about Uganda.

Experienced and knowledgeable driver/guide
We have planned a private tour with Lulu Safaris starting in Entebbe, tracking the gorillas in Bwindi and finishing in Kigali (Rwanda). All the initial preparations and communication online with Mr. Elvis were clear and prompt. All our requests were taken into account and once we have arrived to Uganda they went exactly as planned. We have enjoyed our tour under the supervision of our guide Mr. Allan Smith. He was very kind and had professional manners. We have appreciated his driving skills, as well as his knowledge about the country. We were driving 4x4 Toyota Landcruiser, the car was serviced and clean. Our additional requests for boat rides and detours were handled fast towards our satisfaction. Thank you and definitely see you again.

Exceeded my expectations
I recently did the 4 day 3 night golden monkeys/gorillas tour with LuLu safari’s
In Rwanda and Uganda
Elvis was very easy to deal with and replied quickly to any questions i had
Smith was my guide who is brilliant at his job who loves nothing more than seeing his clients happy
By the end of the tour it was like driving with a friend not a guide many jokes and laughs were had while we were driving between locations
The accommodation at the lodges had some spectacular views and were very comfortable with good meals
I would have no hesitation booking another safari with LuLu safari’s or recommending them to friends
Amazing Safari Experience
I recently completed the 6-Day Ultimate Apes and Wildlife Safari with Lulu Safaris Uganda, and it was truly the trip of a lifetime. The itinerary was perfectly balanced, combining unforgettable wildlife encounters with rich cultural experiences.
Highlights included golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes National Park, an incredible gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi, and chimpanzee tracking in Kalinzu Forest.
Each lodge was comfortable and well-located, and my guide was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about wildlife. Every detail of the trip was well-organized, and I felt safe, informed, and completely immersed throughout. I highly recommend Lulu Safaris Uganda to anyone looking for a truly meaningful and memorable African safari experience.

Reliable, efficient able to provide memorable experience
We are seasoned safari travellers for game viewing but not trekking safaris. We could be better prepared with adequate mountain climbing trainings. The trek to the chimpanzees and golden monkeys are a lot easier and lower intensity compared to trekking for the gorillas. The one hour spent with gorillas however seemed short. I would recommend going for at least 2 gorillas treks if you can. Accommodation are basic so bring hair dryer if you have long hair.
