Great safari !
5/5

We did a safari with Kiwoito in June 25 with our 26 year old son. It was an experience of a lifetime. We had a great guide ( Nelson ). He was attentive and an excellent driver. He went out of his way to make sure we saw everything and always in a good position even if a lot of jeeps were there . The biggest compliment I can make is : we are going back to do a Kiwoito safari with friends in September 26 we loved them so much …..

Thank you Msofi!! 10 DAYS MID- RANGE SAFARI
5/5

We start in Kilimanjaro airport (closest airport) and then got a transfer to Arusha town (1,1.5hr apart, have to plan for transfer) the base of where the Serengeti safaris begin. It was like a couple weeks out and I was looking for a Land Cruiser, safari jeep to rent to go ourselves. We like doing things like that but the disadvantage after hindsight is that we wouldn’t know all the spots to look for things and they have a radio with all the other game drivers and they like to help each other out with sightings and spotting to find things. We wouldn’t have seen much if we dont have our guide being able to understand and have connections. They do help out self driving people though but you’d probably have to speak Swahili or maybe there’s a channel for tourist self driver who speak English only. That would be fun, but we wanted to get the most out of it the one time at least. https://www.roadtripafrica.com/travel-blog/your-ultimate-guide-to-self-driving-the-serengeti/ this was the thing I looked into, but luckily it was sold out lol. So last minute I was just going through random websites and found https://www.kiwoitoafricasafaris.com/ we’re very lucky we had an amazing tour guide (they’re all in one game driver/guide) who works for a company (local owned). So glad we met Mr. Festo Msofi, highly highly recommend him spending 10 days together with him and it really makes the trip to have someone you trust and is chill or cool vibe wise. And he’s really good at what he does. I can’t describe how much we love him. We met another guide and we wouldn’t have vibed honestly. I shared this with a good friend, and hope anyone definitely ask for him if yall do Serengeti.

Oh yeah and Jesca was great, she worked with us back and forth to get the perfect itinerary, very communicative and willing to work with us closely. We booked this last minute so appreciate it working out and we went through many proposal revision for an almost custom 10 day safari trip in Seregenti.

Thanks a lot Msofi!!

Thomas and Sadiki the best one🥰
5/5

Exactly! It was the experience we had imagined. We went on a 3-day safari with two wonderful people. Ronald-Thomas, our guide, introduced us to the wonderful world of the Serengeti, with its amazing animals, of which we saw so many. We saw everything: giraffes, zebras, monkeys, hippos, the awe-inspiring wildebeest migration, and so many lions, so close they were right in front of the jeep. We even saw cheetahs, ostriches, a herd of elephants, and meerkats. Of course, it's not easy to see all the animals. That's nature for you. You could tell how he guided Sadiki, our very confident and experienced driver, and that Sadiki also knew exactly where the animals were. Yes... Sadiki. What a fantastic driver! He knew how to navigate even the most difficult tracks. We never got stuck. He knew his jeep like the back of his hand. If we ever go back to the Serengeti, I'll only ever want these two with me. You two are a wonderful team, and very valuable to you. Thank you for this unforgettable time. Asante Sana. Greetings, Angelika and Mathias. 🥰🥰🥰

Excellent
5/5

We did a 4-day trek up Mt Meru and a 6-day mid-range safari to the Serengeti & Ngorongoro. We chose Kiwoito because we wanted to go with a locally owned operator to ensure our tourist dollars most benefit the local community. Kiwoito was a great choice. The whole trip was phenomenal.
The trek was tough -- I wouldn't have made the summit if not for the encouragement of our wonderful guides, Hassan, Choda and Maca. Huge gratitude to the cook and porters who work so hard behind the scenes.
The safari portion was beyond our expectations. Thanks to our guide Lucas, we had breathtaking, very-up-close encounters with lions, rhinos, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, hippos, and more.
We've traveled a lot as a family, including a previous safari in Kenya, but this trip will definitely go down as one of our most memorable ever.

An unforgettable Safari
5/5

We had a wonderful honeymoon with Kiwoito. We chose a private safari, which was very well organized from the very beginning. During the safari, we saw a wide variety of wildlife with our guide, Nelson, who provided excellent explanations throughout the trip. He shared both entertaining and insightful stories, enjoyed discussing a wide range of topics, and also gave us plenty of private moments to enjoy the experience together.

As for the accommodations, they were all excellent. A special mention goes to Zuri Camp Serengeti, where we spent three nights in the heart of the Serengeti National Park in an absolutely stunning setting.

Just one small suggestion for improvement: I would not recommend the tribal visits (we visited the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes), as these are outsourced to another company. The experience felt very tourist-oriented, and it seemed that the main objective was to collect money, even though these communities are supposed to live in complete autonomy and independence.

Honeymoon Safari with KIWOITO 😍
5/5

Hello, fellow adventurers,

We had a wonderful, magical, dreamlike honeymoon with KIWOITO – first on a safari in Arusha, Tarangire and the Serengeti, followed by a stay in Zanzibar.

Wendy was our point of contact; she planned our dream trip, was always available and responded to our requests promptly and efficiently – a truly fantastic coordinator.
Our first team were Millan and Johnny; with them we visited Arusha and Tarangire, enjoying fantastic wildlife sightings, informative chats, lovely places to stop for a break and great lodges. We felt completely at ease and were able to experience the magic of Africa for the first time.

We then travelled with Abdul to the Serengeti – a fantastic driver who, with great skill and patience, found every animal we could have dreamed of, be it leopards, lions feeding, or even the great migration of zebras, wildebeest and gazelles (an incredible spectacle), which we saw no fewer than three times.
Another highlight here, for example, was spending the night at the Seronara Intimate Camp, which was so cosy and romantic – a little haven for us amidst the wildlife of the Serengeti.

We experienced the magic of Africa, thanks to KIWOITO! We can’t recommend booking a safari with KIWOITO highly enough.
