Fantastic experience
5/5

I highly recommend this company if you're looking to go on a safari. We had a spectacular week. The organization was very easy, and they were always willing to answer any questions. Our driver-guide, Sam, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. He was also a very skilled driver. He always found the best spot for the photos.

If we ever return to Kenya, we won't hesitate to book with them again.

Great planning and excellent implementation
5/5

The planning of our safari went excellently; every special request was implemented immediately.
On the safari, we were exceptionally lucky to see the Big Five in just three days. We saw magnificent landscapes and countless animals. The transportation to and from the Madaraka Express was also well organized. If we ever find ourselves in Kenya again, we will definitely choose Kiboko Tours again; they are our number one choice!

Exceptional customer service and communication
5/5

With 1000s of tours and agencies available, the options can make your head spin. This review is to help you end your search. A big shout-out to Jane with Kiboko Tours!!! She was amazing and provided exceptional customer service and prompt communication. She was the most consistent and best at answering our endless questions that we had from over 10 different agencies. We wanted to switch some accommodations around to fit our needs of wanting a mix of luxury and camp options based on the research we did and Jane made it happen, even with less that 2 weeks notice. Jane is truly the reason we booked w Kiboko Tours & Travel LTD.

Next, our guide/driver Danson (Dan) was amazing!!! He was super knowledgeable and he knew the roads in all the parks like the back of his hand and I can't recommend him enough.

We originally wanted to witness the great migration but due to being 10 days late, we missed that opportunity. I can say that this did not affect our experience negatively in any way. In fact the parks were quieter which was a bonus in my opinion. We had a perfect mix of camps and luxury lodges. We paid around $2,500 for our 7D/8N tour which was right at the high end of our budget. In the end it was well worth it for the whole experience. I can highly recommend Kiboko Tours and Travel LTD to anyone looking for a seamless experience before as well as during your tour.

For people trying to make their decision, these are some recommendations I have for you.

1. A Landrover truck is a must for comfort off-road and capability.

2. Pop-up roof for photography is a must

3A. Masaii Mara- Not to be missed. Have down the best park for unlimited animals.

3B. For a middle budget option the Oseki Masaii Mara Camp was amazing! The tents were more luxury than we expected. The food was fantastic. The staff were Masaii that spoke great English and were a highlight for us with their friendly and fun personalities. Location was super close to the gate.

4A. Lake Nakuru- This Park is not to be missed. It has incredible scenery.

4B. Maila Saba Camp. Amazing luxury camp with stunning views of Menengai Crater and fantastic food. Though further away, you will not regret this incredible "camp".

5A. Amboseli- Amazing but dusty. View of Mt. Kili if lucky. Massive herds of elephants.

5B. Both Amboseli Sopa Lodge and Kibo Safari Camp were incredible and luxurious. Both had great food and a pool. Both had views of Mt. Kili. in the morning if the weather is clear though I personally think the view from Aboseli Sopa was slightly better but this is a personal opinion. You can't go wrong with either.

6. Salt Lick Safari Lodge - this was our personal favorite accommodation and I cannot recommend it enough. We even decided to forgo our morning drive to chill with some peace and quiet while watching lions in the area that were patiently waiting for the right animal to make the wrong move. Unfortunately a couple buffalo's sniffed them out to uncover their prime grassy location to all the other animals in the area. Still the coolest experience with the water holes so close by. The food was also amazing here. Truly incredible!

7. Tsavo West NP- Incredible landscape!

We had the most amazing time, thanks for everything!!
5/5

We went on a 8-days-tour and visited Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli, Taita Hills Sanctuary and Tsavo east. We put a lot of time and effort into our research about the different tour operators. In the end, we decided to go with Kiboko because of their itinerary, their choice of hotels/lodges and, most important, because Jane responded quickly, was always kind and did her best to provide all informations and bookings (e.g. for the train) we needed. All in all, the organization was just perfect.
We never had any regrets about our choice of tour operator. Sammy, our guide, had a great knowledge about Kenya's wildlife and the country. He was always friendly, always on time and worked really hard to make sure we have a great safari experience. We saw more animals than we ever expected, including the big 5. Furthermore, he is a skilled driver and we always felt safe with him. The vehicle was in excellent condition and was equipped with a fridge. Fresh water was always available.
The lodges were located close to the park entries. Our favorite ones were the Maili Saba Camp, Amboseli Sopa Lodge and Salt Lick Lodge.
