Excellent, well organized safari. Highly recommended.
I received timely communications and quick responses to my questions. Eddie my driver and Jackson my safari guide offered incredible service. I had an enjoyable time at Mikumi and would recommend Kihindo to anyone wanting an incredible safari.

Godbless and Owen were really kind and could tell us a lot about all the animals, insects and plants
We did a 2 day safari and we have seen so many animals! The two days were totally worth it. We even saw a leopard and hyenas. The tourgides, Godbless and Owen, were very kind and could provide us with a lot of information about the animals, insects and plants.

Reliable, friendly, flexible
We booked our safari with Kihindo, and it was very smooth from the beginning. They always gave fast replies to all questions and all guides were super friendly. Because of the elections it was unstable in Tanzania at the moment of our planned safari, however it was easy to contact them and get all the changes we needed to be able to go to our safari anyways. No surprise costs, everything was exaktly as described, highly recommend!

Shine in life like Shine and drive like Jackson!
I recently went on a safari tour in Mikumi National Park, and it was an unforgettable experience! The park itself is stunning — wide open landscapes, beautiful light, and an incredible variety of wildlife. We were lucky enough to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, wildebeest, and even a group of hippos relaxing
In the water.
The guides Shine and Jackson were excellent – friendly, clear, and very knowledgeable. They spotted wildlife easily and shared fascinating information about each species. The tour was well organized, comfortable, and respectful of nature.
The only part that could be better is the long eay fron Dar es Salaam but you can have it perfect.
I recommend this safari to anyone visiting Tanzania — great wildlife, great guides, and a truly memorable adventure!

No doubt we can recommend Kihindo Tours
We made an unforgetable trip which was well organized and performed from the start in Dar Es Salaam to Mikumi NP and to Udzungwa Mountains NP. Our guides Nuhu and Salonikis were always on time, answered all of our (many) questions with a lot of interesting details about all the animals, plants and the country and its residents. And both of them are such nice guys! If we ever do a safari again, it will hopefully with guides like Nuhu and Salonikis. Thanks again guys for making our first safari a memorable experience.

Informative, caring and kind
We really loved the day trip to Mikumi National Park!❤️☀️ The tour operator Winfrida gave us all the information couple days before the trip which helped a lot. During and after the trip, she asked how we are doing and did we get home safe, so kind! In the morning 4:50AM our driver Eddie picked and drove us to the train station in Dar. Adam was waiting us in Morogoro and drove us to the Mikumi National Park, where our tour guide Jackson was waiting.
We got to see a lot of different animals during the day: buffalos, elephants, giraffes, hippopotamus, lions, antelopes, zebras, monkeys, many birds etc. Jackson told us a lot of facts about the animals, their environment and about Mikumi National Park itself. He was super nice and funny to spend the day with! We ate buffet lunch and took some pictures with the tree of life.
In the afternoon Jackson brought us back to Adam. On the way to the train station, he wanted to show us a local woodworking and painting shop to buy some souvenirs. After that we started heading back to Dar where Eddie brought us back home.
Thank you all so much for an unforgettable day! ❤️

An unforgettable, seamless Mikumi safari with amazing wildlife and an incredible guide.
We booked a 2-day, 3-night safari with Kihindo Safari & Tours as part of our honeymoon, and it was absolutely incredible. We chose Mikumi National Park to stay close to the coast before continuing on to Zanzibar, and the entire experience was seamless from start to finish.
From airport pickup, to the train drop-off, to the car pickup in Mikumi, and finally our safari transfers and game drives, everything was handled so smoothly. The team kept us informed the whole time and made traveling between locations effortless.
The food in Mikumi was delicious, and we truly felt taken care of.
We spent our first night at a newer lodge that’s still finding its footing — it’s nice, but it currently advertises itself as something a bit more polished than it truly is. For our second night, we stayed at Camp Bastian, and wow — it was amazing. No wonder the tour company recommended it!
Our guide, Danford, was fantastic. He and the other guides stayed in communication throughout our game drives, which meant we were always able to quickly find wildlife. We saw a lion right after a wildebeest kill with her cubs, plus elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, wildebeests, impalas, monkeys, and warthogs.
If you’re short on time but still want a wonderful safari experience in Tanzania, I highly recommend this tour and company. Worth every penny! It was the perfect start to our honeymoon and an experience we’ll never forget.
