Amazing
We visited Nyerere and Mikumi national parks, accomodation was great in both parks, and safaris were amazing. The transfert between Nyerere and Mikumi was a long drive though.
The guide William was amazing, we really enjoyed his knowledge about nature and animals, and he was very thoughtful with everyone of us, on particular with kids.

Superbe Safari
For our honeymoon, we chose a 5-day safari in the magnificent Nyerere and Mikumi National Parks. We were treated like royalty by our guide and driver, who accompanied us throughout the trip. Thanks to them, we learned a lot about Tanzania, its parks, the Maasai people, and so much more. They took great care of us throughout our stay, making sure everything was going well for us. Our driver and guide were very professional and allowed us to see a huge number of animals, which made the experience magical.
Thank you so much.

Excellent
We booked a 3-day safari with ferry and train to Mikumi from Zanzibar with Kihindo Tours, October 10-12, 2025.
It was an unforgettable experience, everything was well organized - good communication (Winnie), guidance (Messy), and the guide (Jackson).
Camp Lilac was fantastic, small in size.
Luxury tent surrounded by nothing but nature, just like it must be in Africa. We had wonderful days with wonderful people around us (Denise, Maasai, etc.).
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you also enjoy peace and quiet; we give it a 10 (no mass tourism in a large camp).
A great game drive in Mikumi, saw a lot. TOP!

Knowledgeable and friendly
Tour was great, we got to see all and more of the animals we wanted and enjoyed the company of Danford and Donald. Danford was very educative and took the time to drive around finding the fight spots while Donald helped spot the animals and kept us engaged. We enjoyed our time very much and highly recommend.

Very well organized and pleasant tour
Our safari in Mikumi National Park with Danford and Donald was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, they made the experience seamless, fun, and full of unforgettable moments. Both were extremely knowledgeable about the park, wildlife behavior, and even the smaller details that made every sighting more meaningful.
Donald’s sharp eye for spotting animals was amazing — we saw lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos, and so many bird species we would’ve completely missed without him. Danford was an excellent driver and made sure we were always in the best position for photos while keeping things safe and comfortable throughout the journey.

I felt scammed
We felt scammed. The conditions we paid for weren't what they offered us. Water wasn't free, and the car wasn't the same as in the photos (it was broken all over). The guide spoke only the bare minimum and didn't offer us water during the safari. He even deigned to tell us his name at the end so we could write a review. He arrived over an hour late for one of the excursions, and there wasn't even an apology. You're always hungry at mealtimes; a sandwich and that's it. Their solution? None. They don't answer any of our messages.

Posted on Oct 20, 2025Dear Bea,
We are sorry to hear that your experience did not fully meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify a few important points:
Water was provided in the car throughout the safari, as it is always included in our packages.
Regarding the vehicle, our itineraries always mention three types of cars used during the trip:
1. Transfer car (7 seats with air-conditioning)
2. Closed safari jeep with pop-up roof
3. Open safari jeep for game drives
You did not specify your preference for a closed jeep before or during the booking. The request for a closed jeep was made only on the last day, when it was unfortunately too late to make the change.
Concerning the food, we did not receive any report from you during the trip. If you had informed our office, we would have contacted the hotel immediately to make sure you received additional food or a better meal arrangement.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your feedback, which helps us improve our services for future guests.
Best regards,
Isaya John
