Wonderful trip
We did the 6 night, seven day trip, finishing with the gorillas. Our guide and driver was Adison, and he picked us up from the hotel in Entebbe. Every single day exceeded expectations. We started with the rhino sanctuary , where we’re so close to them and then moved onto The Murchison Falls. Day 2 was a game drive, followed by one of the best river trips, and seeing huge amounts of wildlife close up. Day 3 was the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which was an all day drive. We were very close to an elephant which walked past our veranda. Day 4 was an early start for chimpanzee tracking, followed by a trip on The Kazinga Channel. We thought this was the end of the activities, but we then did a game drive, with so many highlights, but a leopard at very close quarters takes some beating. Day 5 transferred through Ishasha to Bwindi gorilla land. Day 6 was the gorillas, and what an amazing experience. Our last night was on Lake Bunyonyi and the next day was the all day drive back to Entebbe. Adison put his heart and soul into this trip, his dogged perseverance resulted in some fabulous sightings, especially the Leopard. He is such a pleasant easy going man, who is popular with all the other guides and the staff at the lodges. We accepted the lodges on the itinerary, and they were all great, along with the food. Many of the roads were not tarmac and the traffic can be chaotic. Adison is without doubt, the best driver I have experienced on many tours. We felt completely safe in his hands. It was great value for money, and an experience we will never forget.

8 amazing days in Uganda
We used Dav Safari for an 8-day Uganda trip starting and ending in Entebbe, and overall the experience was very good.
The itinerary was well structured and covered all the key wildlife and nature highlights: Murchison Falls National Park, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kibale National Forest, and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The planning allowed us to see a wide variety of animals and landscapes without feeling rushed. Game drives in Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth were rewarding, and the Nile River cruise was a standout experience.
The major highlights of the trip were gorilla trekking in Bwindi and chimpanzee trekking in Kibale. Both experiences were exceptionally well coordinated, and Dav Safari handled permits, timings, and logistics smoothly, which made these once-in-a-lifetime activities stress-free.
Our guide, Julius, was a major strength of the trip. He was knowledgeable, calm, punctual, and made everything easy for us throughout the 8 days. From long drives to park entries and daily schedules, he managed everything professionally and was always attentive to our needs.
We chose the mid-range accommodation option. While some lodges were comfortable and well located, a few did not meet expectations in terms of quality and consistency. Based on this, we would recommend considering the luxury option if budget allows, as it would likely improve the overall comfort level significantly.
We did not manage to spot any of the big cats on this trip, which was disappointing, but that is part of wildlife travel and gives us a strong reason to return.
Overall, Dav Safari delivered a well-organized, reliable, and memorable Uganda experience, supported by an excellent guide and a strong itinerary. We would recommend them to anyone planning a first-time or comprehensive safari trip in Uganda.

A perfect experience in every aspect!
We spent an unforgettable week in Uganda with Dav Safaris, and we couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. The tour was perfectly organized and exceeded all our expectations.
The safari was exciting, the gorilla and chimpanzee trekking was a unique and deeply moving experience, while the boat safari and the visit to the waterfalls offered breathtaking landscapes and truly memorable moments. Every activity was well planned and carried out with great professionalism.

Excellent!
We had an unforgettable experience with Dav Safari, and a big part of it was thanks to our incredible guide, Salomon. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and always kind and attentive to our needs.
What really made the difference was that Salomon went far beyond what was expected of him. For example, when we only had large U.S. dollar bills, he personally went to withdraw local currency for us and gave it to us, saving us a lot of trouble. On another occasion, when we had a problem with the car, he solved it immediately by finding a service at a gas station within five minutes, and we were back on the road right away.
The organization by Dav Safari was excellent from start to finish. Everything was well planned and smooth, allowing us to fully enjoy the experience. The trekking with chimpanzees and gorillas was absolutely unforgettable — emotional, exciting, and truly once-in-a-lifetime.
We highly recommend Dav Safari and especially Salomon to anyone looking for a well-organized, authentic, and memorable adventure.

An unforgettable experience with Dav Safaris
Our 4-day tour in Uganda with Dav Safaris was absolutely magnificent and truly unforgettable. We chose the itinerary focused on chimpanzee trekking in Kibale and gorilla trekking in Bwindi, and it turned out to be one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.
The organization was impeccable from start to finish. A special mention goes to our guide, Salomon, who made all the difference: always kind, extremely professional, and constantly attentive to our needs. He made sure we never lacked anything and was always available with a smile.
The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and well selected, and the food was consistently very good throughout the trip.

Dav Safari is an amazing tour operator & Uganda is an absolutely amazing country :)
We had an absolutely outstanding experience with Dav Safari in Uganda and cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, everything ran smoothly during our 2 weeks trip — the organization was flawless, the hotels were fantastic, and the itinerary was wonderfully varied. The same goes for the organization prior our arrival.
A very special highlight of our trip was the companion of our guide Julius, who was simply amazing from the very first moment. He was incredibly reliable, friendly, humorous, and highly knowledgeable. Julius explained so much to us, making even long drives just super interesting and fun. He always went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. Of course, you can't predict the nature but during the game drives Julius reduced the "luck factor" as much as possible with his knowledge and by communicating with other guides. We faced one or two small challenges that were out of Julius' and Dav Safari's control but Julius and Dav Safari supported us in the best possible way and handled everything with great care and professionalism.
We are extremely grateful for this truly special journey and the unforgettable memories it gave us. Uganda is an amazing country with beautiful nature and great people. Dav Safari made this trip exceptional, and we wholeheartedly recommend them without any hesitation.
It can be a bit overwhelming to choose between all the different tour operators and to transfer a lot of money via the globe, but with Dav Safari you really don't have to worry. As we trust Julius, we also trust his judgement that all guides of Dav Safari are doing a great job. Thus, we personally highly recommend Julius - but if he might be on a trip already, we think you should still choose Dav Safari and that you will be very satisfied with the other guides as well.

Hakuna Matata- means no worries. Made everything work
I thought the itinerary had to be pretty fixed but we had an issues with visas and were not able to get our entire party into Uganda to begin the safari. Dav worked with us and reorganised the entire first day. Our guide, Godfrey, was a great communicator and made what was a stressful beginning seem like it was all in a days work.
We upgraded a couple of the lodges and feel it was worth it (try Buffalo Lodge). Dav delivered on everything they promised. We think that the game drive in Murchison was the best but we missed at least one of our Murchison drives due to a late start. The gorilla trek was amazing.
There are three things we would change. We would try and spend more time in Murchison, we would miss the Kanzinga channel boat cruise and one the last day if you are staying at Itambira Island Resort you can’t fly out from Entebbe until late in the night. We ended up changing our plans at the last minute (at our cost) to stay closer to Entebbe as we had to fly at 4.10pm. The trip from itambira to Entebbe is 9+ hours. Even then it was touch and go to get to the airport.
Dav is a very professional company and they made everything run smoothly. Our guide answered our 100s of questions. The 4*4 was comfortable and always clean.

Excellent experience that exceed our expectations
We booked an 8 day safari in Uganda through Dav Safari's. We told them what we wanted to see and they crafted a custom itinerary that met all of our requirements. Communications with Reagan was excellent.
We were very fortunate to have Benjamin as our private guide, as he was very accommodating and extremely knowledgeable.
We felt that we received great value for the money. Highly recommended.

My partner and I did the 7 day wildlife gorillas and chimpanzees tour in November 2025.
We had so many special moments on this holiday. We even got to say our wedding vows in Murchison falls National park and Benjamin our tour guide filmed and took photos throughout which we will be able to keep that special moment with us forever.
Benjamin was so knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly to us the entire time. He was great with my food allergies (gluten free) and he always made sure we went to places that would have something for me to eat.
One of my highlights was when we brought over donations from Australia to take to a primary school and Benjamin found a beautiful little school near Bwindi national park. The kids sang and danced to us and honestly this was the best experience of my life. Benjamin filmed us dancing with the kids and he took such lovely photographs. He didn’t need to stop off at a school for us as it wasn’t part of the tour but he went out of his way to make sure these kids got these donations.
I can honestly say that this was a trip I will never forget. We got to learn so many amazing new things about Uganda and we got to see the big 5 at all different national parks. I just want to say a big thank you to everyone that we dealt with when booking this tour. You have all been so amazing and I can say that this was one of the best trips of my life.
