Amazing Experince!
I cannot say enough about how absolutly beautiful Uganda is and how grateful we are to Dav Safaris for making our trip here so amazing. Do not hesitate to book with Dav!
My sister and I did the 4 day 3 night trip that includes Chimp and Gorilla trekking. I got a lot of quotes from other tour groups and Dav by far came in as the most reasonible price.
Our driver/guide Goodwin was beyond amazing, I cannot say enough about how great he made our trip. He was so genuinly nice and shared so much about Uganda. He took such good care of us the whole trip and even helped us get placed in an easy hike for the gorillas because of some health problems. He was a great driver, I was very confident in his skills and was never uncomfortable even on some scary small crazy roads at night! I have been lucky enough to travel all over the world and I can say Goodwin has been the best driver/guide I have ever had, Dav Safaris is lucky to have him. We all got a little sad to say goodbye after our 4 days together.
All the hotels were great, we were actually upgraded to a nicer hotel for our first one without even knowing until we got there!
The one thing to keep in mind though when booking is that this exact trip is a LOT of driving because you are covering a lot in just a few days. Make sure to pay attention to the drive times your driver gives you not what is on your itinerary. Our itinerary said 5-6 hours each day but the actual drive times were 8-9 hours and there wasnt any additional traffic or anything, that was the normal drive time. After speaking to some other travelors from other tour groups, listing shorter drive times seems to be the norm for Uganda. The drives are beautiful and scenic and you get to go through a lot of small villages and the van is uper comfortable, so its totally worth it but just be preapred you are barely at the hotels. If you have the time and money to add an extra day I would add a day between the chimps and the gorillas so you are not starting an 8 hr drive after finishing the chimps that way you are not arriving at the beuatiful Gorilla hotels at 8-9 pm. This way you get to spend some time at the nice hotels and enjoy their views!

Committed, likes humor,wants to please,
Great time was had all our activities were professionally accomplished by our guides and driver..Collins our driver was excellent, always on time and attended to any request we required. Our entire Ugandan experience was excellent could not have been better.
Communication between Davs office was very comforting knowing we were in good hands.
Exceeded our expectations
After searching through many tour operators we chose Dav. Mainly because their communication during all the questions we asked was timely and informative. When we arrived in Kigali we were told Isaac would pick us up at 8.30. He was early which was great and he was absolutely the best. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We visited the Rwanda mountain gorillas and golden monkeys and had a great experience.
Professional, quick replies and awesome guide!
Traveled Solo and could not have gotten a better guide with Isaac! Super friendly, showed me around, made changes to the itinerary on the fly because I did not feel well. Added recommendations and things to do so I got the most out of my visit. I had a great time and very competent, friendly and funny guide with Isaac by my side! Can’t recommend him enough!

14 day safari Excursion without Dav Safaris
My wife and I just returned from the Dav Safaris 14 day Wildlife Safari in Uganda. We enjoyed every excursion we went on in the 14 days. There was a wide variety from driving and walking safaris to cultural experiences and of course chimpanzee and gorilla trekking. The gorilla and chimpanzee trekking was outstanding experience. I also highly recommend visiting the Karamojong village in Kidepo as well as the Batswana Community in Bwindi. Every lodge we stayed at was very nice and the Ugandan people were very friendly. Our guide and driver for 14 days, “Jungle Jeck” was very punctual with time and we felt very safe on the Ugandan dirt roads with him. Probably Jeck’s only downfall is he is not real personable but after spending 2 weeks with him I figured out that’s just his personality. The negative aspects about our trip were the itinerary When the drives say 4-6 hours you better expect 8-9 hours. The itinerary is too crammed in of places to go for a ilittle bit of time. We drove 5 hours to Beautiful Lake Bunyunyl, arrived at 530 pm and left the next morning at 730 am. It really was not a sufficient time to enjoy it. Also we drove to Hoima , arrived at noon and did nothing all day. That to me was a waste.of time. Many of the lodges only offer 1 choice of entree for dinner , so if you are a picky eater you end up eating cookies in your room. Reagan, the owner, sent one of his employees to the first lodge I was staying at to collect over$7000 dollars that they said we still owed which was already paid in advance so make sure you receive a receipt for all your payments. All in all we enjoyed our trip with Dav safaris, I strongly feel that Reagan needs to update his itinerary to be more realistic with the travel times and maybe 1 less place to visit so you can spend a little more time at the others. Please don’t let this Ebola outbreak in the Congo affect your trip to Uganda. We felt very comfortable and safe there. The government of Uganda are taking measurements to keep the country Ebola free.!

Great trip
Everything was very well organised and all went to plan
Our driver ,Godfrey, was a big help making sure we got everywhere on time, encouraging us to try local foods, taking us through stunning landscapes and being an excellent safari guide.
Seeing the gorillas up close was an amazing experience but we thoroughly enjoyed the whole tour.
Would highly recommend

Reliable operator for a unique Gorilla experience.
First reliable, your money is safe. Your program is carried out as agreed upon. Permits are secured on time. You will have a safe driver and reliable vehicle. Meals are included in the lodges, lunches sometimes a la carte. Good lodges, good situated. Always a choice in meals and friendly staff. Drivers/guide, Godery joined me, are well informed and feel responsible for their guests.

Helps make your dreams come true
We booked a 7 day Uganda tour with Dav safaris, and it was just amazing! The accommodation was beyond expectations!
Our guide, Solomon, did that little extra for us! He stopped the car at nice viewpoints so we could take pictures and took us on a super quick extra gamedrive just because a lion had recently been spotted, and he really wanted us to see it! We also managed to see it again on the planned afternoon game drive! He really did his best to find all the animals we wanted to see, and patiently waited for us to finish taking all the pictures. Also, when we were too late for our first afternoon game drive (because of traffic out of Kampala) he let us have it the next day.
We managed to see the big 5 on the tour. The 7 days were packed with activities, so we were always tired, but very happy, at the end of each day.
Communications was always fast with the company.
I would definitely recommend Dav Safaris and Solomon! Thank you for an incredible trip!
