Every guide I worked with was outstanding — knowledgeable, passionate, professional and genuinely invested in making sure my experience was everything I dreamed it would be. Africa is more beautiful, more complex and more humbling than I ever imagined, and having guides who understood that and shared it with such pride made every single day richer than the last.
But I must give the most special recognition to Julius — who was absolutely extraordinary throughout this entire journey. Julius guided me through every single trek — gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park, chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe Forest, golden monkey trekking, and the canopy sky bridge walk high above the rainforest. Each of these was physically demanding in its own way, and Julius was there every single step — patient, encouraging, supportive and completely dedicated to making sure I succeeded. Because of Julius I stood face to face with mountain gorillas. Because of Julius I watched chimpanzees swing through the trees above me. Because of Julius I did things I genuinely wasn't sure I could do.
Julius — you are one in a million. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏

The tour operator was knowledgeable, efficient, well connected and entertaining.
I didn’t know what to expect when I came to Uganda and Rwanda. Meeting the Dev crew was such a privilege because they were so genuine and invested in making sure I was given a strong experience. The level of service is something that most should strive to achieve. The team was fantastic, and Godwin was a lot of fun to drive around with. He is gold so just know if you get him you’re going to be well taken care of.

Uganda Rwanda 10 day Tour
Our communications with Dav Safari were always timely and everything we requested and that was outlined in the tour was provided with no problems. Their reliability was excellent and their price in this market is very competitive. By far the most valued part of our tour was our guide Julius who provided a very personal approach, suggested excellent modifications based on our needs and secured every request that we made. We felt safe and well cared for. Julius went beyond his duties when he organized a surprise birthday celebration for me.

Incredible experience with Dav Safaris
We did the 4-day Golden Monkey and Gorilla Trekking experience with Dav and could not have had a better experience. They were great to work with prior to the tour, and were accommodating when we needed to change dates. Our driver Charles always had a smile on his face and made us feel incredibly comfortable throughout our time with him. He skillfully drove through what we would consider rough terrain and we always felt safe.
We are really glad we chose to do our gorilla trekking in Uganda. The experience from start to finish was smooth and well organized, and everyone involved went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Bwindi is a magical place and we would highly recommend anyone considering gorilla trekking to visit this beautiful country.

4-Day Gorillas and Golden Monkeys Safari - Amazing experience!
I did the 4-Day Gorillas and Golden Monkeys Safari with Dav Safaris in August 2026. The experience was nothing short of amazing: friendly staff (a special warm thanks to my guide, Charles); comfortable transport; superb accommodation and food; and just, overall, unforgettable close-up encounters with golden monkeys (in Rwanda) and gorillas (in Uganda). I can’t recommend this tour operator enough, professional and very caring of their customers. Looking forward to my return already!

Unnforgetable experience that exceeded expectations.
My wife and I just finished an amazing 10-day safari in Uganda with Dav Safaris! The itinerary was packed with awesome activities every day. Seeing the gorillas and chimpanzees was obviously the main highlight, but everything else in between made the trip truly unforgettable. We saw incredible wildlife on land and boat safaris in Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Parks, visited the stunning Murchison Falls, and enjoyed local cultural tours. The trip is perfectly designed to make the most of every day while still giving you time to relax.
Josh, our guide and driver, was the absolute best. He was incredibly professional, always on time, and made sure we never felt rushed. Even on rough roads, his safe driving kept us completely at ease. My wife is a vegetarian, and Josh made sure she always had great food options, even changing restaurant stops just for her. The food and accommodation were great the whole way through. If you love adventure, I highly recommend this trip!

Tour and guide/driver were Absolutely amazing!
Traveling solo to Uganda as an older woman was an incredible experience, largely thanks to the exceptional service provided by Dav Safaris and my wonderful Guide/driver Richard. From start to finish, the trip was seamless, but the true highlight was my wonderful guide and driver. His deep knowledge of the local areas, the culture, and the wildlife made every moment fascinating. He always knew the absolute best local places to eat, ensuring I got a true taste of Uganda safely and comfortably. Beyond his expertise, he provided great companionship throughout the 10-day journey, keeping me safe and completely secure and lots of laughs. The absolute pinnacle of the trip was the primate trekking. Tracking the majestic mountain gorillas and watching chimpanzees in their natural habitat was deeply moving. Richard informed the primates guides of my physical skills and asked the treks match my physical pace perfectly, making these bucket-list wildlife encounters feel accessible, safe, and profoundly special. This trip was an absolutely magnificent experience and Richard was a major contribution to the trip. I cannot recommend Dav Safaris enough for solo travelers!
