I was not born in Africa, but probably Africa was born in me by Heaven in Africa
5/5

It is hard to describe my feelings and experiences of the best trip of a lifetime. My old dream, safari, came true. We were a group of 2 women. Me and my friend had an amazing experience with our 5-day safari - Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Manyara, Masai Village and Banana Farm. Having been recommended Heaven in Africa from friends, from the moment we first wrote them until the day we came back home, we were in contact with Heaven and Pieter who always supported us. We are so grateful for everything they did for us:
- for the great care and attention to us
- for the knowing answer to every question which we asked our guide Pieter a lot every day
- for hot picnic lunches in the national parks.
It is not just lunch boxes as many cheaper companies may offer.
It was a varied meal every day in according to our requests and diets.
We'll never forget our lunch with a view of two wild rhinos in Ngorongoro.
- for the awesome accommodations. We chose the mid-range, but we did not expect it to be so gorgeous and comfortable. We were greeted with songs in every lodges. The service and food were great there. We had even a swimming pool in every place, but we did not have time to enjoy that.
The second thing we will never forget is our sunset and night in the camp in Serengeti. I enjoyed listening to the sounds of the wild at night. I only regret one thing in my trip of the lifetime. We had only one night in Serengeti.
- for interesting and exciting game drive.
We crossed rivers in the car.
We saw Big Five - leopard, rhino, elephant, African buffalo and lionesses.
The first two ones are rare to see. But we did.
The elephant family was within arm’s reach. And many other creatures were so close to us. Sometimes I even held my breath besause of that.
I did some many fascinating pictures and found my new hobby - photo hunting.
Our guide showed and talked about each animal and plants. He always found the best perspective and views for our pictures.
The lion was hiding from us during our game drive. So, we will definitely come back to see him next time. And of course, with Heaven in Africa

The whole trip was incredible and unforgettable. And we know why. Heaven and Pieter did their best to give us the best trip of our lives. After safari we had a paradise Journey on Zanzibar. But I was absolutely upset to leave these guys. Because we did not leave just guides who had created our trip, we left our close friends. I was not born in Africa, but probably Africa was born in me by them.
Asante, Asante, Asante.

Life Changing Trip — Can’t wait to go again!
5/5

I cannot gush enough about this trip, everything from start to finish was seamless and perfectly done. The attention to detail is everything with this company right from the start when planning your fully custom itinerary to the moment your plane touch’s the ground, this company ensures you have the most enjoyable and relaxing experience.

If you want to experience Tanzania from first hand experience that knows the best accommodations, activities and safari spots this is your company. Not to mention the exquisite hot picnic lunches, maybe even more special with wine.

Heaven will not just be your guide/driver while you are in Tanzania, he will be your animal expert, cultural knowledge book and very own song singer. I swear Heaven some sixth sense when it comes to animals. The close encounters that we experienced while on our safari: elephants feet from the truck, a cheetah taking down a gazelle right before our eyes, a lion tackling a wart hog literally feet from the truck, a leopard sighting to name a few. I went on this trip with 4 other girlfriends, we never stopped laughing or having the best time of our lives. From the incredible sightings, to the breath taking accommodations and delicious food, we literally felt as if we were in heaven the entire time.

Going to Africa and going on a safari is something you may only do once in your life, so you want to ensure it is the absolute best time and experience you can have. I would trust none other than Heaven In Africa Safaris to entrust that you have the most incredible and memorable trip of a lifetime.

I highly recommend this company and cannot wait to go on another adventure with them.

The trip of a lifetime!
5/5

This safari was one of the best weeks of my life!!! Everything was so well done and prepared, all we had to do was show up and enjoy our dream vacation. It started before we left with a Zoom call from Pieter to let us know all of the details of the itinerary and what to expect at each location. We were nervous about getting covid tested since we needed a negative result to fly home, but he arranged everything to coincide with our departure.
We arrived in Tanzania and our tour guide picked us up from the airport. His name was Heaven and the name suited him perfectly. Hanging out with him that week felt like heaven! He was not only fun and accommodating, we would come to find out that he was extremely knowledgeable about all of the animals, having learned from his father who was also a safari guide. We spent the next week at Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park and the Serengeti (my favorite!). I can’t even begin to describe all of the spectacular creatures we saw, and covid actually worked to our advantage because we never had to wait in line or fight crowds. It was like we had the African plains to ourselves! We were able to get close to lions, giraffes, elephants, zebras, cheetahs, hyenas and too many others to list. Everywhere we stayed was beautiful, and the service was impeccable. And the food was delicious. I’m a bit of a picky eater so I wasn’t sure I would find things I liked, but that was not the case at all. Lunch was the best because we ate gourmet hot meals with wine set on linens at some of the most beautiful places on earth. One day we overlooked a valley with elephants and another we were next to a group of rhinos in a lake. We also were able to visit an orphanage and the Masai tribe, which provided a lot of insight into how different people around the globe live so differently. Both trips were great, but I would caution anyone visiting the Masai to prepare what they want to donate ahead of time since they are pushy when trying to sell their overpriced goods. Even still, it was worth it to see the houses they build and learn about their culture.
The whole experience was incredible. We laughed a lot, and my friend and I literally cried when it was time to leave. I can’t recommend Heaven in Africa and Runway 86 enough. They work together to create the best safari possible. It hasn’t been very long, but already we can't wait to get back.

One of the best weeks of my life!
5/5

Heaven was recommended to me by a friend who had been on a safari with him earlier in 2020, and she was absolutely right! Heaven is the guide in Africa and his partner Pieter handles the planning and itineraries. Pieter tailored our trip to our time frame and interests. The price is expensive but this was the best week of my life and worth every single penny.

Since we were travelling in the middle of the pandemic we were super concerned about coordinating Covid tests before we left the country. Pieter worked that out for us and the execution on the ground was perfect. Seeing the hospital in Karatu turned out to be a really cool part of the trip! Heaven in Africa only does private groups, so we were not with anyone else in our vehicle.

We flew into and out of Arusha. Our itinerary was Tarangire Park one day, Ngorongoro Crater one day then 2 nights in the Serengeti at a migration camp (6 nights, 7 days). Everything was seamless and wonderful and too much to write in a review. Heaven met us at the airport and was delightful the entire trip. Of course the animals were amazing, but so was Heaven. We were provided with a hot meal and a glass of wine every day for lunch. The Land Cruiser is brand new and has huge windows (not all of them do) and Heaven is an amazing driver.

The accommodations were very nice--we paid for the mid-range. All of the rooms were clean and the service was great; the food was really good. The migration camp was a wonderful surprise--attached bathroom, universal plug and full sized beds. We were so early in the season (the camp had only been open a week) that the wifi was not set up yet, but it was nice to be disconnected for 2 days. Being on the Serengeti is not to be missed.

We also went to an orphanage in Arusha. This was one of the top highlights of our trip. We stopped at a local market to bring and was given an explanation and tour by Mr. Moody, the man who has run the orphanage for decades. The only thing I would change is that I would skip the visit to a Masaai village (it felt very staged; maybe another tribe would be better) and I would extend my trip to 10 days!!

I cannot recommend Heaven in Africa enough! Heaven and Pieter did everything they could to give us an amazing experience and it was truly the tip of a lifetime.
