Great Safari!! Excellent tour operator and my guide/driver was top notch!
I am a photographer. My safari was 3 weeks long in July of 2022. Not once during that time was I disappointed in the service I received from Ongeri Expeditions or my Guide/Driver Martin Mbuguss. Guide Martin was very knowledgeable about the habits and locations of wildlife and put in great effort to find me exactly what I wanted to photograph each day. My longest lens was a Canon 100-500 7.1 and that was perfect because we were, for the most part, very close to the wildlife. Martin was open to my suggestions and knew much about the areas we visited. Ongeri Expeditions booked me into lovely camps and lodges that were close to watering holes or close to nature, I loved it! The Samburu Elephant Lodge was especially good and had the most delightful young Samburu women as part of the staff. Even though the area was suffering from drought and the river had dried up to a trickle guide Martin located many animals and vistas to photograph. I've been to Kenya before but this was my favourite trip and included not only the Samburu area but the Maasai Mara, Tsavo, Ole Pejeta, Amboselli, and Lake Nakuru. I can't say I loved the condition of the roads, other than the paved roads they were horrendous compared to even the worst in Canada but Martin's Toyota Land Cruiser 4X4 easily coped. I can't say I'm happy with the airlines either. Air Canada and Lufthansa managed to lose my checked bag for 7 days after arrival in Kenya and then cancelled my homeward flight for 24 hours out of Nairobi....nough said

Best luxury safari ever
The safari was amazing! We booked the 5 days Masai mara and it turned out to be the best. The camp we went to was so clean and fancy! My husband and I couldn’t believe the service we received. Abner was always checking up on us to make sure that everything was going according to the plan. I am happy we booked with Abner for this safari.

Amazing!
We had an amazing time in Kenya thanks to Ongeri Expeditions. We did 6days, 5 nights safari at Amboseli and Masai Mara and this trip indeed exceeded our expectations. Right from the airport pickup to departure we didn’t face any hurdle. Abner was always available and prompt in response to our queries. One of the main reasons of selecting Ongeri Expeditions for our trip was the dedication, meticulousness and sincerity showed by Abner right from the beginning. Can’t thank him enough for arranging such a wonderful holiday we’ll remember our lifetime. The accommodations at both places were incredible. We really enjoyed the stay, the food, the game drives at both places. But I must say, Masai Mara was just incredible. Although we were not fortunate enough to view the river crossing but our hearts are full by the whole experience altogether. No single day and game drive was the same and it never got boring. I always ended the day with a big smile. We would also like to name our guides who made our trip enjoyable and memorable at the same time.- Mwangi Mwai at Amboseli, John and Dickson at Masai Mara and Martin in Nairobi.. Can’t wait to be back!

Super Luxury
The safari was great, no problems occurred during the safari. Avner was available all the time to answer all our questions and he recommended new destinations in our itinerary which ended to be one of the best safari. Our camp drivers at Hemingways Masai Mara and Elerai Amboseli were the best.

Special Honeymoon Safari
We booked with them our honeymoon for safari in Masai mara and beach time in watamu. It was fantastic and Abner made sure we had the best experience! I’m sure we will book our first wedding anniversary with you next year. Highly recommended

Worth Every Dollar
Having gone to a safari before, the safari offered by Ongeri Expeditions was way different and the luxury level cannot be unmatched! We enjoyed all the four destinations we went to; Amboseli - we saw the big elephants, Samburu - we were lucky to spot all the special five, Ol Pejeta - This conservancy was special to us, we saw the last two northern white rhinos and that was amazing and finally we finished with Masai Mara - were we saw the big five and had breakfast with the lions !
My family and I want to thank Abner for organizing such a great safari! All went well and we really appreciate. I recommend Abner and the team at Ongeri Expeditions if you’re looking for a well planned luxury safari.

Customized and Detailed
I found the Ongeri Expeditions page on instagram mid last year and our conversation started from there. I had seen the kind of properties they were updating and I really wanted to go to the one’s in the conservancies. Having been to Masai Mara reserve before, I wanted something different and more exclusive also I want to have a taste of different regions of the Masai mara. After almost 8 months of preparations - we finally landed in the Masai Mara.
We had the best experience ever as we had exclusive game viewing. I remember not once but many times we had to enjoy lions with cubs by ourselves.
The choice of properties was amazing has the quality of the safari remained all through. We visited three conservancies namely Masai Mara North, Olare Motorogi and Naibosho conservancies.
I would recommend Ongeri Expeditions anytime and can’t wait to go back to Masai Mara North next year.

I highly recommend Ongeri Expeditions to anyone looking to book a safari or vacation in Kenya. Abner was there for me right from the start all the way until we got back home. Some of the flights I had booked myself did not go smoothly, but Abner took care of booking road transfers to get us to our first camp near Amboseli without delay. We packed a lot into 7 days, Amboseli, Masai Mara and Diani beach. We just loved every minute of it!
