An Incredible Gorilla Encounter in Rwanda
We had an absolutely incredible experience on our gorilla encounter in Rwanda. Our guide, Kenneth, was a former ranger and incredibly knowledgeable. His experience, passion, and understanding of the gorillas made the whole experience even more special. He provided fascinating insights throughout the trek and helped us truly appreciate the opportunity to see these amazing animals in their natural habitat.
A special thank you to Jonathan in the office, who was extremely helpful, accommodating, and responsive
throughout. When an Ebola outbreak meant that our original plans had to change, Jonathan went above and beyond to replan the entire tour, making alternative arrangements and ensuring everything continued as smoothly as possible. His flexibility and professionalism were greatly appreciated.
This was a truly unforgettable experience, and having such an experienced guide and such a dedicated team behind the scenes made it even more special. Highly recommended

Great organization and service
I first contacted Epic Uganda Vacation in November 2025. From their first response I knew that this was the right company for me.
It felt very personal and engaging. I specified the time I had and what I wanted to do, and Moses put together a 3 day trip which included a Gorilla trek and Golden Monkey trek in Mgahinga National Park and a Chimpanzee trek in Kyambura Gorge. We communicated regularly with Moses. He was able to suggest the best places to trek that were more accessible then say,Bwindi, where most people go. As a result of his knowledge and experience I had an incredible, unforgettable experience seeing the animals very close. Throughout our trip he treated me and made me feel like a VIP. Never was there a delay or a problem. I felt safe and cared for. And their trips are all inclusive, so I didn't even have to exchange money.
I recommend this company to anyone thinking about visiting Uganda, "The pearl of Africa " Thank you Moses.
Our fantastic second trip with Epic Uganda Vacation!
In February, 2026, the two of us enjoyed a wonderful nine day private tour through beautiful Uganda, using Epic Uganda Vacation! This was our second trip with this company, having spent eight days with them in Rwanda in 2025. We have enjoyed all aspects of working with Epic Uganda, from the seamless organization and prompt communication through Jonathan in the office, to the excellent guiding and driving by Moses! Highlights of this trip included: chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park, a wildlife filled boat tour of the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park, a walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park, and a motorized canoe trip in the Mabamba Wetland to see the amazing shoebill stork!
We thought that our tour gave us great value for the money, and would not hesitate to recommend this company! Rest assured that, from the moment that you exit the airport, to the moment that you return there, you will be in great hands with Epic Uganda Vacation!

Amazing
My wife (princess;) and I booked a 3day tour from Kigali to Bwindi NP for gorilla trekking.
The booking process went smooth and with quick responses.
We were picked up at the lodge in Kigali by Moses and had an exciting and scenic drive to the wonderful Bweza Lodge. The staff was great and helpful and the trekking itself was unforgettable!
All the time we felt absolutely safe and taken care of.

Amazing East African adventure with Epic Uganda Vacations!
We spent 3 days in Rwanda and Uganda for an amazing three-day whirlwind gorilla and golden monkey tour with Epic Uganda Vacations before we flew to Nairobi and continued our holiday with an incredible 14-day adventure through Kenya and Tanzania. From start to finish, Epic Uganda Vacations seamlessly coordinated everything, and our guide Moses was very attentive, knowledgeable, and truly made the journey special. We saw more wildlife than we expected, with standout locations being Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara. We also visited Amboseli NP, Ngorongoro Crater and the Northern Serengeti. A day spent in Lake Natron with its unique landscapes, amazing waterfall and flamingos was well worth the detour as well. Overall, the communication, organisation, and attention to detail exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Epic Uganda Vacations for anyone planning an East African safari!

Went above and beyond
Tour was great, I was picked up at the airport and started with my journey. My guide was very accommodating to what I wanted to do and when I needed to rush to the airport, he got me there just in time. Five minutes later I would’ve missed my flight.

Great from start to finish...
Wow where do I start… what an incredible few days with EPIC and Jerome. For context I am a mid-30s male from London, travelling solo, and it is not my first time in Africa.
Firstly, due to issues with flight cancellations I want to thank Jerome (my guide for the trip) for being so accommodating with last minute changes to my arrival time. He met me at arrivals and was happy to let me spend some time speaking with Rwandair staff to resolve a query. Once we got on the road towards Bwindi he was clearly very well informed about Rwanda and his native Uganda. I learned a lot in those 5/6 hours as we crossed the border and settled in for the night.
The next day was Gorilla Habituation day, and luckily for me, with it being the low season I was the only tourist on the expedition (along with 3 trackers, 2 scouts armed with rifles, 1 guide and 1 porter). We only had to hike for 1hr20min before finding a family of 9 gorillas, and words cannot come close to describing the experience. You simply cannot gauge the true size of these beautiful creatures, or understand the thrill when they move past you seeking out more vines. The habituation experience offers 4 hours with the gorillas but eventually I spent only 3 hours - which I’m glad for because on the hike back I managed to spot the endemic 3 horned chameleon crossing our path. We spent the remainder of the day crossing the border back to Rwanda and spent a relaxing evening near Volcano National Park.
Another early start gave us the opportunity to see the Golden Monkeys in VNP. Sadly, any experience after the gorillas is going to be mildly underwhelming but these unique critters were still a sight to behold. This activity was over in 1 hour and perhaps would be good to combine with another excursion with most of the day remaining. In the end I changed my flights to begin my next adventure in Kenya that evening.
Overall the experience with Jerome was incredible. He made me feel very relaxed and at home in a new country, with his humour and knowledge of the area. His English was perfect, as well as all of the other languages he spoke which were especially useful on the odd occasion. The 4x4 car we had was very comfortable and managed well with the road conditions at high altitude. I would highly recommend Jerome / EPIC / this tour (which can be customised) to anyone!

Our Excellent One Week Trip in Beautiful Rwanda with Epic Uganda Vacation!
In January, 2025, the two of us visited Rwanda for the first time, travelling with Epic Uganda Vacation. From the planning stage with Jonathan in the office, to the trip itself with Moses, we had an excellent experience! Our one week itinerary included visiting sights in the capital, Kigali, the former capital, Nyanza, plus Akagera, Volcanoes, and Nyungwe Forest National Parks. Everything went smoothly while we explored that beautiful and underrated country!
We were in great hands with Moses, who shared his wealth of knowledge and experience, as well as his great sense of humour with us! We highly recommend Epic Uganda Vacation for a trip to this fascinating part of the world! Paula and John, Calgary, Canada
