Local company with perfect execution and great & kind guide
We had a 7 day / 6 night safari with Makini and it was amazing! From the planning and customizing based on our requests and feedback, to the communication, to the actual safari. Simon (nicknamed "Safari Monster") was an amazing guide and driver: super knowledgeable, funny, well connected with other drivers and guides. He managed to find the perfect spots for watching the animals while taking into account our wishes. He was polite, knowledgeable about the animals but also the history and culture of Tanzania. Being a hobby wildlife photographer, he sent us his amazing close-ups of the animals. I could write a whole essay about our 7 days but let me summarize: about 1,000 pictures per day, 60 distinct types of animals, 7 water crossings, endless number of lions close up, 2 cheetas, 2 leopards, cheetah and lion cubs, 1 bouquet of roses, 2 bottles of (sparkling wine), 3 cakes (it was our honeymoon). The lodges were amazing as well, very comfortable (huge bed, electricity, warm water, etc.)

Amazing!
The guide is the most important part of any safari, and we were fortunate to have an absolutely wonderful one! Juma was exceptional throughout the trip, always ready with answers to our questions. His driving skills were excellent, especially on the rugged roads of the Serengeti, and his patience and professionalism made the entire experience even more enjoyable. We were lucky enough to spot all of the Big Five and even witness the incredible river crossings!
A special thanks to Lissa as well for patiently answering all our questions before the trip and ensuring everything was clear and well organised. Communication was transparent, smooth, and reassuring from start to finish.
Highly recommend this team to anyone planning a safari! They truly made our experience unforgettable.

Amazing, everything was perfect!
I totally recommend Makini for the safari tour. They were incredibly helpful, attentive, and cooperative with everything we needed — fully focused on making sure we had the best possible experience, and they truly delivered. Thank you so much for such an amazing trip! Tanzania is a beautiful country, its people are wonderful, and the food is incredible. Being able to see all those animals so close, in their natural habitat, was indescribable. I’m beyond happy with this trip and will be recommending it to everyone!

Grayson is best guide!!
I was with a guide named Grayson, and he was the best!!! You are really kind. I was lucky on the first day, and thanks to the guide, I got to see the Big 4!!😍 The next day, I finished watching the Big 5. In the sections where we could play music, they even provided speakers. It was so much fun because you explained the animals in detail!
Especially on the first day, we focused on observing animals and taking photos. On the second day, the explanations about the animals were given in more detail, so I was able to listen better☺️ I saw them eating lion food for two days straight! You drive so well and are very considerate :)
I definitely want to come back to the Serengeti, and if I can get in touch, I’d love to be with Grayson!

Huge thanks to our safari organiser Lissa. She was incredibly patient answering all my questions about the itinerary, accommodation and meals. Everything was arranged perfectly.
Our driver-guide Burton was extremely professional. He shared tons of fascinating facts about wildlife and drove very smoothly and safely throughout the trip.
The other group members on our shared tour were all lovely and friendly. We had such an amazing time together.
We were incredibly lucky to spot the entire Big Five! This has truly been an unforgettable experience.

We had two guides during our safari. Our first guide was very young, but already had an impressive knowledge of the local area, wildlife, and biology. From the second day until the end of the safari, we were accompanied by a very experienced guide whose knowledge of the animals and the territory was truly exceptional.
Thanks to his expertise, we were lucky enough to witness the Great Migration river crossing five times and see all of the Big Five in a single day — an absolutely unforgettable experience!
Of course, wildlife sightings also depend on luck, timing, and, above all, patience. But having a knowledgeable and passionate guide makes a huge difference.
