Professionally executed day trip, great guide/driver
5/5

We were picked up early morning in the 4x4 Safari jeep on time from our hotel in Dar es Salaam and given a booklet explaining the trip.
Philipe our driver and guide, who spoke perfect English, also explained the journey and what to expect. One of which was the charging facility & the fridge full of water & soft drinks available to us.
We drove for a couple of hours & had a break at a service station for coffee & pastries.
All through the journey Phillipe shared information and facts with us about places, animals and the flora and fauna around us.
We arrived about 10am and after a quick natural break started the drive around the Mikumi National park.
Over the course of the day we saw several dazzles of zebras, towers of giraffes, herds of impalas & elephants, monitor lizards, various birds & the snuffling and eyes of hippos cooling off.
We had access to binoculars & various animal books too, so were able to spot & read about all sorts.
The highlight of the day was seeing a pride of lions who had just caught their ‘meal’! We were so lucky to be able to witness that!
We had a good hot buffet lunch which was included and there was plenty of choice for all.
The drive back was broken up with a stop to try some fresh pineapple & again at the service station before arriving back at our hotel in the evening. A long day but well worth it!
Very well executed trip, communication beforehand via email/whatsapp was easy and we are so grateful to have chosen to book this through Allen & Wild Reality Safaris & have had such a knowledgeable & safe guide/driver in Phillipe!
Definitely recommend!!

This safari was even better than I could have imagined!
5/5

This week I was in Tanzania and had the opportunity to visit Mikumi National Park. I booked my safari excursion through WildReality and it exceeded even my wildest expectations. It was a great value and every step of the journey was professional and well planned. The communication was always prompt and there was great attention to detail. The guide picked me up at my hotel, drove us to the park, made all the arrangements for admission and then took us all through the park for the adventure. The lunch served at the park was a wonderful spread of local foods served on an open veranda overlooking the bush – absolutely perfect! I was so impressed by both the knowledge and professionalism of my guide, Philipo. He did an exceptional job of navigating the challenging roads, all the while informing us on what we were seeing and experiencing. His knowledge extended well beyond the expected animals and he helped me spot and identify birds and insects and understand more about the beautiful country. Going on an excursion like this helps you really feel like you have experienced the country, not just visited. Returning back to the hotel, the guide stopped at one of the fruit markets. We sampled pineapple and passion fruit and it was just the perfect addition to the day.

My advise for anyone about to embark on this adventure - remember this is a wild space and not a zoo. There is no certainty to what you will see or where you will find it. That is part of the thrill and the excitement (and why you need a good guide). Trust your guide, be open and curious, and I have no doubt yours will be a fantastic experience too.

WildReality is the go-to travel planner!!!
5/5

WildReality became my go-to trip planner after speaking with a few others. Allen was always patient, responsive and professional. As we were going with two other families, we had to revise the itineary multiple times, including airfare, accomodation, activities etc. Allen was able to handle my difficult requests, and always tried his best to give me a response on the same day.

I strongly recommend working with a local agent like WildReality, because they would have most hands-on information, and can work with local camps and guides directly. Allen eventually became a friend of mine, always trying to make things work within our budget, without any sacrifice in services.

Additionally, I really enjoyed the guide Allen arranged for us. Please make sure to ask for Eben, he obvioulsy has a lot of passion for his job, and always made efforts to explain things well and accomodate our schedule. With his help, we saw lions mating, black rhinos, leopard, and also two cheetahs, which a lot of other travelers missed.

Great Safari experience
5/5

I met Allen at an Adventure Travel conference in Japan. I mentioned that I would visit Kenya and would like to visit Tanzania and Serengeti. He set up the trip to Serengeti and it was beyond my expectations. The choice of lodges, vehicle, driver, and guide was exceptional. Also, I mentioned to him that I wanted to go to a beach in Zanzibar. He organized my pickup and all-inclusive accommodations for me. As a travel advisor, I will return with a group next year and book honeymooners at a beach and a safari. I highly recommend using WildRealty Safari.

READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING TO ANY SAFARI!
5/5

While this is a positive review for the company, my primary intention is to share insights that will help you to prepare for your unique experience. Please keep in mind that it is really easy to forget some small aspects while planning such a big trip. The goal should not be just to get there, but to enjoy every day according to your comfort and personal standards.

Though we had a very limited time for research - we booked just one week in advance - Allen covered many aspects for us, and this allowed us to enjoy the experience. We value that because we saw how other tour operators took care of their customers.
As in life, you must find the right people; otherwise, you will be the customer who has paid money, has arrived in Africa, and the rest isn't given much importance. Animals are surely there, but the quality of your experience largely depends on the tour operator.

1. We made it clear in the beginning: no tourist traps and fake environment. Time is precious, don’t waste it on people and things that are not authentic.
2. Make sure you get (or request) “hot” lunches. This means real edible food, own chairs, table, tablecloth, real cutlery etc. This is something you need to confirm, as it's often overlooked. Most of the providers (as it is cost-efficient) offer “cold” lunch boxes. If you don't want to be the one out of many who sat on a park chair and ate a dry sandwich from a cardboard box, do your homework.
3. Don’t have lunches just at the park entrances (where most of the operators do and which is very convenient for the tour operators as no extra effort is required from their end), we enjoyed multiple lunches inside the park - wine and dine as we said, our guide set up our personal table with tablecloth, chairs, cutlery, glass for the wine (not a paper cup) and we got to enjoy the picturesque setting.
4. The guide must be enthusiastic about their work; they shape your experience. Be polite, kind, and generous to them. This comes down to whom you choose as a tour operator - good people are where they are valued. It is your responsibility to ensure that the tour operator, in general, doesn't treat you merely as customer on their conveyor. If you don’t understand what I mean - you have arrived in Africa, you have paid your money - how comfortable for them it would be to offer the bare minimum to you? This is what many tour providers do. And what are you going to do about it? You can be angry at someone, you may make demands, etc. In reality, you then give away your peace of mind and ruin the experience to some extent.
5. Safari vehicle - request the make and actual pictures of the exact vehicle you'll be using, ensuring it meets your expectations. We did, and we were not disappointed! Additionally, inquire about their fleet size and their contingency plan for vehicle breakdowns.
6. Binoculars - typically, you get provided one pair per vehicle (really easy to not notice that small fact in the brochure) - don’t settle for it, request binoculars for every passenger in the car. You go on an expensive safari and then be the fool who passes around binoculars and misses out those spontaneous sights.
7. WiFi - if you need it, ask for it and have it included. But note that the coverage is poor. You get an internet connection at your accommodation, but while driving - about 30% of the time.
8. We did not use that option, but safari routes have long, uneventful stretches. If your budget allows, consider taking flights to bypass these sections. Bumpy rides can be tiring (feels 7/10), so ensure your vehicle is comfortable, with suitable seating, for example - does your seat back recline?
9. If you opt for packages titled “All Inclusive”, don’t interpret “all inclusive” too broadly - while doing our homework, we saw plenty of those packages and when you start to read (which most of the people will not) the fine print - you will see that there are lots of exclusions. To exaggerate - what is the food that is included - are you going to get just 7 different types of bread or something else as well. What drinks are included - are you going to get just water or other beverages as well, make sure to ask (if that is your preference) if alcoholic beverages (like wine) are included.
10. Plan and make decisions in advance, ensuring you can fully enjoy the unique environment without distractions. In context of choosing tour operator - don’t leave decisions, that can be made while planning the trip, to be made on the go. When you decide that you want to get a bottle of wine with your lunch, it is not that easy to arrange if you have not requested that in advance - understand the limitations that are there due to the location of the parks.
11. Recognize in advance that while on your safari, there may be minor additional expenses. Whether it's tipping the dedicated staff or purchasing small souvenirs, these costs are nominal in the context of the overall safari budget. Consider them a way to support the local community and remember these contributions, though optional, can make a significant difference in their lives.
12. You'll generally receive other basic information, such as what color clothes to wear, precautions against mosquitoes, etc in a brochure beforehand to assist with packing.

Our trip did not have an easy start because our family’s luggage was left behind, so we had to get new clothes from head to toe for all the days.
All in all, all those aspects were taken care of for us, hence the 5 star review - as stated earlier, it really matters who you choose. Ensure you select a passionate tour operator who genuinely seeks to provide an unforgettable experience within their means.

Well Managed, Great Itinerary
5/5

I had a safari scheduled with a large global company who canceled the trip because there wasn't enough people signed dup - during peak season. I was lucky enough to find Wild Realty Safari on this site. I got a private tour instead on of with 20 or more people for less money. Allen did a great job putting my itinerary together adding Zanzibar at my request after the safaris. My guide, Emmanuel, was awesome- calm, knowledgable, and steadfast on all the bumpy roads. We saw some wonderful things because of his persistence and knowledge. We saw the big 5 and more! The lodges and camps I stayed were wonderful and some very beautiful. All the staff were super friendly and accommodating. They catered to my diet -pescatarian, even on the Serengeti. I can't say enough great thing about Allen Emmanuel and Wild Realty Safaris.

Go to debragrimes.com to learn more about my experience.

Amazing experience
5/5

I made a temporary decision to go to Tanzania to see animals, but due to my lack of experience, I searched for a travel agency for a long time. In the end, I chose this not very large company (because I think it would be more expensive for a large company). The entire itinerary was private, with only the two of us on board. The hotel was also lodge, and the guide was excellent and very qualified. I suggest that you make an appointment for the itinerary earlier, and it would be more cost-effective to go and see animals from February to March!

Hidden treasures of Ngorongoro

Hidden treasures of Ngorongoro

Recently, I had a visit to Tanzania and I chose to go on a safari trip to Ngorongoro, and it was a life time experience! I really wanted to travel to the hidden treasures and explore more of the nature in a safe way and with a local guide. Allen was a great guide and he answered all my questions. I was contributing to the nature preservation project too, as it is part of a UN Heritage ecosystem. I am very happy I chose the WildReality Safari, it was a memorable experience.
