I got to enjoy my trip because the Operator, was so nice, and elaborate in the whole trip

Great experienced driver guide with equipped knowledge of the safari, the accommodation was awesome and I enjoyed mostly the game drive especially when we spotted a leopard and the lion having a fight over a kob. It was a great experience. Trip to remember.....

Thank you so much to Great lions safaris for an amazing tour! We had the trip of a lifetime with our wonderful guide Godfrey. He is a genuinely lovely human and we are grateful for his time and care spent sharing his passion for all creatures (especially gorillas!) and the unique local cultures around Rwanda and Uganda. In Rwanda we visited Akagera where we saw so many majestic animals and we absolutely loved the chimp trekking in Nyungwe that doubled as an epic hike. It was particularly special to visit the magical place that is Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda and see the Gorillas up close.Godfrey was both incredibly accommodating with our requests and changes of plans - I was quite nervous and they ensured we felt safe and comfortable. We would highly recommend booking with Great lions safaris and we hope to tour with Great lions safaris again one day!

We had a great experience with Justus of Great lions safaris. The communication from Great lions safaris was great and we felt very looked after the whole time. Our Tour Driver Justus was very knowledgeable of the local surroundings and had a great passion for his work. Justus went above and beyond for us and was very accommodating and worked very hard to get all our needs met including when we fell ill and had to go to the doctors, Justus took care of everything and rearranged things for us so we wouldn't miss out on anything. And also he helped us out after hours after our tour had finished, our flight got rescheduled unexpectedly and we were left at the airport but he came to the rescue and arranged airport transportation and accommodation for us even though he didnt have to. We found all the accommodation staff to be very friendly and welcoming too. The food was always delicious and there was always plenty of food all day. We would highly recommend this tour and this tour group to everyone and we are very Thankful that we chose Great lions safaris

Reliable and recommendable tour company
We did 5days Chimpanzee & Mountain Gorilla trekking, which was the highlight of the trip. The close access to the animals was such a surprise, but also amazing. The trek to the Mountain Gorillas was a challenge, but so worth it. The guides and the entire staff helping with the trek was just awesome. It was a "once in a lifetime" experience for sure. Our tour guide Justus from Great lions safaris was amazing and he made the trip memorable for us.
Would surly love to book another tour with them and recommend them to our friends

Amazing personalized local experience!
We loved our experience with Great Lions Safari in Uganda and would for sure recommend!
It is a very small local business owned by Justus who made sure all the time that we had the very best experience.
Since the beginning, when we were planning the trip, he adjusted the itinerary many times until it became very personalized to what we wanted. Other companies didn´t accept our suggestions mainly because one day was a very long day of driving but Justus embraced our itinerary and made it happen :) It was a very good value for the money considering other big agencies have more people involved in the process so it costs more for the same experience.
Also, before our trip, we considered cancelling it because of the situation that developed in Congo but Justus was very good in addressing our concerns, sending pictures of tours happening and doing his best so we could feel safe enough to go.
Both him and Dominic (who was our guide since Justus was not able to join the tour himself) were very energetic and good company, caring for our safety and comfort all the time. The accommodations that he booked for us were great, he even provided us with an upgrade.
All the activities that we did were amazing, we loved all of them.
The Gorilla trekking was unforgettable, a once in a lifetime experience!!
