People centric individuals who are amiable, efficient and most importantly, trustworthy!
5/5

The decision to visit Kenya was a rather spontaneous one. My wife and I got married last year and we decided to 'charter unknown territories', so to speak.

Raji (my wife) stumbled upon Crimson Brook Safaris whilst browsing. The reviews were great, especially for a relatively new and comparatively smaller tour company.

Right off the bat, communication was seamless and timely. Amos and Betty clearly know how to engage potential clients and always made themselves available based on our schedule. We only had to decide on the duration and cost; the good folks over at CBS worked their magic and tailored an itinerary accordingly!

We were greeted by them and Ruben (our driver) the moment we stepped out of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After a hefty breakfast (note: don't miss out on Kenyan Tea, it's amazing!), Amos briefed us on our travel arrangements. The first day was all about recuperating after our long flights but we managed to squeeze visits to the Giraffe Centre (where you feed them and get a free exfoliation in return) and the National Museum of Kenya.

Our week long trip was as follows:

Day 1 - Nairobi. Great climate (was between 14-18 C), good selection of local and global cuisine. I'd go so far to say Kenya is the 'jewel of East Africa'

Day 2 - 3 - Amboseli. First game drive with Ruben. Amboseli is famous for elephants and for a good reason. With the majestic Kilimanjaro for a backdrop, almost every click is award worthy. Lions, zebras, hyenas, ducks, hippos.............(the list goes on)

Day 3 - 4 - Lake Naivasha. The boat trip to Crescent Island was breathtaking. We saw schools of hippos, birds and other wildlife. I especially enjoyed the walking safari at the island, a great opportunity to get up close and personal with the animals. Work up a sweat by cycling around Hell's Gate and spots giraffes, baboons and warthogs along the way!

Day 5 - 6 - Maasai Maara. Don't miss out on visiting the Maasai Village (an additional USD 25 per person) on your way to the park. The Maara Reserve was simply outstanding, the best place to be at during the Great Migration. We saw so many animals but the lions captivated us the most. Ruben tirelessly drove around and was very insistent on getting us to see the 'Big 5' but alas, we had to settle for the 'Big 4' instead since leopards are super elusive.

Day 7 - Quick drive to Nairobi. Amos and Betty met us for lunch and I tasted the best crab soup I've ever had in 31 years of my existence. Exchanged our goodbyes and boarded our flight back home.

Overall, CBS made every attempt to make this the most memorable vacation I've been on. We ditched the typical beaches and decided to embrace nature in its rawest form for our honeymoon. Having said that, I'd recommend a trip down to Mombasa if you have the time just to relax, unwind and try out some local fare.

Communication: Great, no room for improvement. Amos and Betty are very efficient.

Service: Service above self. We did not have to compromise at all throughout the journey. Special shoutout to Ruben. This man deserves an award for his patience, knowledge and candour. He made good use of our limited time and taught us some Swahili along the way. Asante, Ruben.

Value for Money: CBS is a luxury safari provider so prices do reflect that aspect. Having said that, I definitely got more than my money's worth. Amos and Betty are quite particular about providing platinum standard of service. No disappointments, only good memories.

Reliability: Very. very reliable. From start to finish. From dusk till dawn.

All in all, a great experience which we would cherish for a life time!

Execellent local agency for a customized safari
5/5

My family of three (including an eleven year old) booked a 7 day private safari to Amboseli, Lake Naivasha and Masai Mara with Crimson Brooke, plus two pre-safari day trips within Nairobi. We could not have been happier with our choice. The owners responded quickly to our inquiries with a detailed proposal, based on current local knowledge of available options. They booked us into exactly the kind of camps we were hoping for and the day-trips they organized to Nairobi NP and the Giraffe Centre exceeded our expectations. Betty, Amos and our highly experienced driver Rueben met us at the airport and provided Wifi, hats, water bottles, etc for our trip. The vehicle was in great shape and our driver did an excellent job in finding and teaching us about a wide variety of animals. Excellent value, particularly compared to quotes we’d gotten from North American travel agents. Highly recommended for any travel in Kenya.

A Trip of A Lifetime
5/5

Thanks Betty and Amos for a trip of a lifetime. Crimson Brooke helped organize our trip to Kenya where we visited Nairobi, Amboseli National Park, Lake Naivasha, and Masai Marra National Park. Accommodations, transportation, guides, national parks fees were all seamlessly organized by Crimson Brooke. They’ve also lent their extensive knowledge of the area and the tourism industry. They truly made the experience smooth and effortless for us.

Our guide on this trip was the phenomenal Spencer. He truly made the experience a million times more special for us. It was like having a guide that has a PhD in tourism, zoology, geography, nature, local culture, history, and much more. I love to ask questions and to learn about the places I visit and Spencer was able to answer all of my questions. On top of this, he was always in a good mood and cheerful, cracking jokes and making us super comfortable. He also loves animals and as invested in finding them as we are, he also has a sharp set of eyes spotting Lepoards which are notoriously difficult to find. I highly recommend you ask for Spencer as your guide.

Overall, I am super happy for choosing Crimson Brooke and I can’t wait to go on other future trips with them.

Top notch! Everything was perfect!
5/5

We went on Safari in the beginning of January as a group of 4. We found Crimson Brooke Safari on safari.com and they really sticked out for the value for money. The price is very reasonable and very competitive. Betty and Amos are great in communication. They reply super fast. We had a WhatsApp group for easy communication. Also our Safari guide was in the WhatsApp chat and always available. This allows for flexibility. Our driver was awesome. We spotted so many animals, even a leopard which is very rare to see!!! The car for the game drives was really comfortable. It we an awesome trip!!!

Trustworthy, extremely competent, totally knowledgeable, responsible and always available.
5/5

Ours was a private and custom safari tour. We travel the world having visited well more than 100 countries. We know quality when we experience it. Crimson Brooke Safaris checks all our boxes for professionalism, integrity and humanity. Everyone in the organization cares about the quality of your experience. We dealt with Amos, Beatrice and sometimes Betty. No question was too unimportant for them to deal with. They were totally understanding of every situation brought to their attention. Every issue was handled promptly and succinctly. Their prices are beyond fair. Their knowledge of luxury hotels and restaurants is comprehensive. Our driver/guide, Reuben, was the best we have ever had combining knowledge, driving skill and an understanding of just what to say to make us feel comfortable. He has such a trained eye that he could spot animals at huge distances. He looked after us and took care of all our wants and needs. You cannot go wrong with Crimson Brooke.

Exceeded our expectations!
5/5

We are only on day one of our Safari, but I couldn’t wait to write this review! We had one day in Nairobi before leaving on safari, and Crimson Brook Safaris has already been outstanding. From meeting us at the hotel, briefing us on all aspects of the tour, accommodating our last-minute request to go to the Giraffe Center, and even taking precious time away from their family to escort us to dinner, we have been blown away! We leave on safari feeling like we were in great hands!

Crimson Brooke is hands down the best!
5/5

I never write reviews but I am motivated to for Crimson Brooke because we had such a fantastic experience. This was our third safari and perhaps the best (the other two were high end luxury safaris). Amos and Betty were superb! I appreciated how quick and responsive they were to my initial outreach, getting back to me and answering all my questions immediately. The price was very reasonable, but you'd think we were on the high end luxury - I can't imagine what more we could have gotten if we paid more. All accommodations were spectacular, our driver Ruben had the best spotting abilities ever, the food was very good at each location, we had a perfect mix of number of nights at each park. I have no ideas for how to have made it a better experience. We also brought our young children and this was the best vacation ever for them. Betty and Amos gave the trip a really nice personal touch, meeting us at the airport and sending us off. I highly recommend Crimson Brooke and am so grateful to have come across this amazing company!!!

Great organisation, very flexible and hospitable!
5/5

The trip was very well organised. All our ideas were brilliantly incorporated in a beautiful itinerary. From our airport pick up to our airport drop off, Amos & Betty were gracious hosts.
Furthermore, both Ruben and Kim were exceptionally professional and fantastic guides for the safari’s.
When we missed our domestic flight, a quick solution was provided.

Overall 100% would recommend to any and all!

They were welcoming, kind and took great care that we all had a wonderful time
5/5

I would certainly recommend Crimson Brooke Safaris.
I had a warm welcome at the airport and found myself meeting some truly lovely people. The trip was well organized. The drivers were excellent and knew all about each animal we were seeing. The jeeps were very comfortable and included WiFi and charging ports. The whole trip was an incredible experience.

Wonderful personalised safari with great support from Betty and amos
5/5

We loved our safari with crimson Brooke and are so grateful for Betty and amos’ efforts. It can be a bit daunting choosing from so many providers and spending so much money a long time in advance from abroad, but crimson Brooke provided the reassurance we needed and we felt in safe hands the whole time. We were so glad we went with a smaller local operator. They met us from the airport and spent time with us every time we passed through nairobi which was lovely. We did a 5-6 days tour of amboseli (1night), Nakuru (1night) and the Mara (2 nights)and it was fanstastic. Highly recommend the cliff camp and ilkeliani camp. If we were to do the tour again we might skip Amboseli and do 2nights at nakuru just to reduce the driving time. Our guide Reuben was a brilliant driver and guide but it is nonetheless a long time in the car. Whatever you decide though Betty and Amos will help you to tailor your plans and will do all they can to ensure you have a great trip.
