Amazing experience and staff
Mafie adventure organized an amazing adventure for us (group of 30 people). First for the ascent of Kilimanjaro. Thanks to the staff, we went to the top. And after they organized a safari like in our dreams, really dynamic to find every animals. We saw the big 5 and many others animals that was incredible. Thank you Mafie Adventure!!!

Professional and passionate
We climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with Mafie Adventures in August 2023. We chose 6-day Machame route. This route is characterised by wonderful and diverse environments and landscapes and permits decent acclimatisation. Mafie Adventures and Erastus welcomed us at the bus station and picked us up from the hotel the day after. The hiking was definetely worthwile, aslo thanks to the professional and very experienced guides, Wilfred and Oliver, who really helped us throurghout the climb.
Furthermore, equipment was good and the food was plenty and delicious. Everyone in our group (8 porters+2 guides+1 cook) was welcoming and caring. I highly recommend Mafie Adventures for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro also considering the competitive price compared to other companies that provide the same service. Also, it is a local company based in Arusha and we believe it's a good way to support local business instead of foreign companies working in Tanzania.
Some few general suggestions for future travellers:
- Tipping is important and considered almost mandatory (for all companies not just Mafie). Make sure you understand how tipping works before arriving
- Best choice is to fly to Kilimanjaro airport
- Ask for what equipment is included or not in order to avoid carrying unnecessary staff that will overload the porters

Perfect!
We are happy having booked our 5 days Safari with Mafie Adventures. It was a great experience and the price was very fair! Erastus is very kind, honest and answered all our questions at any time. Everything was well organized. Food during the whole trip was amazing and plentiful- thanks a lot to Othoman! The camps and lodges were astonishing good and a great experience. Our guide Frank was professional and very motivated to inform us about the animals, country and the way of life of the Maasai. He tried hard to show us the "big5"!

Amazing safari !!

All the team was doing everything to get us confortable with the best traveling condition ; drivers were very useful to find the best place to see the animals and the cookers made amazing job

What an amazing experience we’ve had for the past few days, thanks to Mafie Adventures. Since the beginning of contact, Erastus was constantly available for questions, while pre-arranging all different necessities for our 4-day safari tour. Our guide was such a great guy and a great driver as well, we didn’t feel unsafe one time. You felt his years of field experience throughout our trip, allowing us to get a unique safari exceeding all of our expectations! The fact that we could bring our own input into the safari, i.e. what time we wanted to leave in the morning etc, allowed for us to really have a great time. I would highly recommend booking with Mafie.

Great tour, perfect organisation, can recommend!
We climbed Kilimanjaro with Mafie Adventures and had the best experience! The organisation was perfect, the food was delicious and the guides were incredibly supporting and wellprepared and helped us make it to Uhuru Peak. Can definitely recommend!

Serious, profetionals and well orginized to ensure you have an amazing experiences
I loved how punctual they were and very comprenhesive about I was so far away from home, then traveling all by myself, I could feel safe with them. The guide was very profetional and he really helped me to preparer my climbing and succes. And the crew was really charming and made me feel like at home. The porters are simply amazing and they deserve all our appreciation in all senses. Coming to Tanzania for trekking and climbing the Mont Kilimanjaro worths it and i would do it again sinces this place is magical.

Merci aussi à Erasmus qui jusqu'au bout, a su nous satisfaire et tout prévoir.
Un dernier coup de chapeau à notre excellent chef cuisinier Innocent, un regal dans touts circontances.

6 days Kilamanjaro - incredible
Last week we set off on a 6 day route with Mafie Adventures on Kilamanjaro. This has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Although I did struggle each day, the amazing guides Oliver & John were always able to put me at ease. I would not have been able to get to the top if it wasn't for these two incredible men. Our entire experience with Mafie was brilliant. They have a brilliant team full of reassurance along with amazing chefs and porters. I will definitely use this company again or recommend to others.
