The review below is the personal opinion of Elizabeth and not that of SafariBookings.
Poor communication and poor organization of our safari
Our safari was a mixed experience. Several issues with the company’s communication and the guide’s attitude made the experience more frustrating than it should have been, especially considering how much we paid.
From the beginning, communication with the company was poor. On our first day, the company driver was 1h late and our contact person, Jennifer, could not provide any proper information. Throughout the trip, we also had to chase the company for basic information, such as the driver’s name, vehicle details, pickup arrangements, and other practical details. Communication was consistently reactive rather than proactive.
Although we spent four days with our guide and managed to see the animals we wanted, the guiding experience itself was disappointing. He rarely shared information about the animals, their behaviour, or the surrounding area unless we specifically asked questions. Even then, his explanations were rather dry and lacked the enthusiasm and depth we would expect from a safari guide.
For the price we paid, we expected much better communication, more professional guiding, greater consideration for our time, and a more customer-oriented approach.
