A safari beyond a safari - the most special experience which far exceeded our expectations
I researched many safari companies but none had the personal touch and knowledge that Rose and the LSC have.
I spent quite some time with Rose chatting through our brief, our expectations and our dreams - to say that Rose delivered is an understatement. Nothing was too much trouble. Her advice, knowledge and understanding of what we were looking for was exceptional. In fact it was faultless.
We have never done a trip like this before and as we were going with our 2 children, aged 23 and 25, we really wanted this to be a special, memory creating experience, one which we could enjoy as a family with very little wifi interruption!
We were relatively open minded as to where we went, we just wanted a great safari experience. Rose advised us to go to Zambia, which we hadn't even considered. It was truly spectacular and the lodges she chose were exactly what we were looking for. We stayed in 3 different lodges: Thorntree River Lodge on the Zambezi near Livingstone, Kaingo Lodge in the South Luangwa National Park and finally Sausage Tree Camp in the Lower Zambezi National Park. Wow, wow and wow again - all different, all exactly what we wanted at that time of the trip. The knowledge and passion of the guides was wonderful, the staff at each camp just wanted us to have the best experience. We were looked after extremely well. Rose also booked private charters for us which landed on dirt runways with thatched huts for terminal buildings - all this just added to the whole experience. Everything also ran seamlessly without any hitches, which was pretty impressive.
As for the important part, the wildlife, Zambia definitely did not disappoint. We saw leopards, lions, wild dogs, bush pigs, buffalo, hyenas etc etc etc - we saw lions stalking prey, we saw a leopard up a tree guarding it's impala kill, we saw elephants with their calves, giraffe, zebra, hippos galore. We sat in hides and watched vultures feed off a dead hippo whilst hyenas skulked around the edge of the lagoon. We enjoyed a couple of walking safaris which made us observe and appreciate the smaller creatures and insects and their importance in this vast landscape. Our minds literally boggled as each day brought new experiences and situations. To do this as a family was truly wonderful.
I cannot recommend Rose and LSC enough - this was the safari I have long dreamt of and I can safely say that it exceeded our wildest dreams. Thank you Rose - you have some new fans!
Fantastic trip to Tanzania & Zanzibar
Excellent advice from Rose beforehand to help shape the trip and very responsive to all emails. Trip itself was brilliant, for the first week safari the camps were very special. In Zanzibar we stayed at Xanadu villas and would really recommend. Would definitely use LSC again.

A Midsummer nights dream
Rose and the team at LSC have a very personal touch. The process of understanding my needs were seamless, non intrusive and explorative.
I set out wanting to see the migration in Kenya, last minute holiday plan with my daughter. She had graduated and was heading to College in Boston. Wanted to spend time with her. Knowing of all the contours of what we were looking to achieve , Rose suggested that we go to Zambia and patiently explained the pros and cons of Kenya and Zambia. We heeded her counsel on visiting Zambia and the camps to stay. Just like in the play "A Midsummer Nights dream" the fairies make light of love by mistaking the lovers and by applying a love potion to Titania's eyes, forcing her to fall in love with an ass , we fell in love with Zambia before we visited there. We weren't disappointed in any way, the gaming was brilliant, lions , leopards , elephants , giraffe, crocodile all in touching distance. We were so close to the crocodile while we canoed the river that it grunted aggressively. We had lunch with the elephants as they walked into the backyard of our Casia suite at Chongwee. The rangers were exceptional and wanted us to see everything the place has to offer and they went beyond to show us how to track and find the animals and tons of amazing details. While at Chongwee you have to ask about the termites, just to learn so much about life in the wild and how they coexist. We had tons of interesting stuff told to us. The birds were in plenty about 500 species. The food , the hospitality everything was world class. We felt welcome as they shared their life and their place with us. There is not enough words to describe how we felt there and how we felt while leaving. I guess you'll just have to go and find out. We fell in love with Zambia and stay in love. If there is a way to travel in Africa it is through LSC under Rose care.

Trip of a Lifetime
As a graduation gift for my daugher, and a number one bucket list for me, we took a safari to Zambia. Being a novice about going into the bush and where to go, it was imperative that we have the right tour guide to facilitate a flawless yet thrilling trip. The Luxury Safari Company, and the trip that Rose organized for us, exceeded all our expectations. Rose provided the expert knowlege about where we should go and the recommended camps we should stay at - she put the whole tirp together for us including all the local connecting flights to the remote parks we were visiting and at every step the execution was flawless. As two women traveling alone, we felt safe and comfortable throughout our entire stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mchenja camp in South Luangwa National Park and could not say enough good things about our amazing guide, Innocent, while we were there. The staff and the food could not have been better and we are very appreciattive of their hospitatiliby and making us feel comfortable after a very long jouney to get there. The park was spectatuclar - on our drive into the camp the evening we arrived, we saw leopards, lions and giraffees. It was awe inspiring. Following a wonderful dinner we had beautiful rooms and awoke to the surinse overlooking the Zambezi River and hearing the hippopotums 'talking' in the early morning. Our days in the bush, both in the jeep and doing a walking safari, were breathtaking - the elephants came out to greet us as did the zebras, bamboons and so many others. The highlight was seeinng the mating of the lions at a fairly close distance and watching their interaction. We then travled down to the Lower Zambezi and stayed at the beautiful Sausage Tree Camp where Benson our butler took impecable care of us and our guide, Collins, shared his extensive knowledge about the animals and ecosystme of the Lower Zambezi with us. The food and the service at Sausage Tree Camp were top notch. We had a wonderful dinner in the bush as well as lunch in the River - very special experiences. The bush here was also spectatcular and our game rides were filled with exciting views of the wildlife. Our stay Togenbezi in Livingston was similarily a culinary delight and a wonderful trip to see the splendor of Victoria Falls, the white rhinos and a family of giraffees.
Rose put together the ideal iternary for us throughout our stay in Zambia and later in South Africa. When we go back, and we will certainly be going back , Rose and her team will be my first call to organize our next trip.

A sensational two weeks in Botswana and Zambia
We had been planning a trip to southern Africa for some time and came across the Luxury Safari Company in one of our internet searches. Unlike other companies we contacted seeking guidance and advice, the LSC were more inquisitive and helpful rather than pushing a product or a specific package
Their direction and advice proved to be accurate and their recommendations were even better than what we had hoped for.
On every level from our individual communications with the amazing Sophie Milligan to the fine detail of the trip itself, the LSC excelled.
The camps we visited in Boswana were superb and their recommendation to stay at CHUNDUKWA on the Zambia side of the Zambesi river was simply stellar.

Exceptional organization and service and nothing was too much trouble!
The Luxury Safari Company came highly recommended by some family friends who have caught the safari bug and had Rose put together several trips for them in the last few years. Rose was a pleasure to communicate with throughout the planning of our family safari, extremely prompt to answer all questions and when we had to make some last minute changes to the itinerary, she was able to solve our problem very quickly. The trip was simply amazing and everything was coordinated so seamlessly, we were able to just concentrate on enjoying the holiday stress free. 'Best holiday ever!' declared my 12 year old.

Excellent trip, exceptionally well organised and looked after!
With Rose's incredible knowledge, thought and attentiveness we had the most magical honeymoon in the hands of the Luxury Safari Company. Despite an unforeseen 4 hour plane delay from Heathrow, Rose was quick to assess and resolve the situation to ensure we could catch a connecting flight, coordinating the team on the ground, and as promised by Rose, still make it to the bush before sundown! We were meticulously looked after every step of the way, I barely had to think! It really made our honeymoon one to remember and gave us the chance to relax to the full knowing the Luxury Safari Company were on top of everything. I highly recommend 'Off Beat Safari' in the Masai and Matawme lodge in Zanzibar.Thank you so much for an unforgettable trip!

Dreamed trip and seamless thanks to TLSC!
We had a dreamed honeymoon thanks to Rose and TLSC. She was responsive and on top of everything from the very first minute. Her knwoledge and insights into the different countries helped us decide on the final destinations of our trip. We are thankful for all this! In addition to her insights and help, the "extras" she provides (phone app with all the needed info for the trip and discounts on clothing) are awesome too. Even when we had a slight issue in one of our destinations with the local agents, she solved it in minutes making it seamless for us. TLSC definitely provides luxury services and lives up to them!
We'll be definitely travelling with TLSC in the future. Huge shout-out to the team!

Trip of a Lifetime!
I can't thank Rose enough at The Luxury Safari Company for putting together such an amazing trip for our family of 5! Right from the time we inquired to when we got home, Rose was incredibly efficient at returning emails, calls and answering my numerous questions as this was our first trip to Africa.
Our first location was at And Beyond Serengeti Under Canvas camp in central Tanzania. We were amazed with the service, food and kind people!! Our guide, Mohammed and tracker, Katuma, were incredibly knowledgeable. We saw the Big 5 in our three nights/4 days stay and had the best time with them. The early sunrises and packed picnic style breakfasts were definitely a treat!
Our second location was the Mkombe house in northern Tanzania. We flew there via Coastal Air and all of our transport and connections were so smooth...once again, thanks to Rose for organizing this!
This house is a must!! Set against a rocky outcropping and the tall swaying grasses of the Serengeti it was simply breathtaking! Once again, the service and food was incredible. It was so nice to relax by the pool in the afternoons before we went back out on our drives. I'll never forget falling to sleep with the sounds of lions roaming around...quite surreal! We also got to see the Big 5 here with our excellent guide, Emmanuel. On the last evening he surprised us with a "Sundowner". He took us to a large rock that was set up with wine and snacks to watch the sunset in true Tanzanian style.
Our third location was White Sands Villas in Zanzibar. Again, this was a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the endless white sand beaches after trekking through the Serengeti.
I highly recommend booking your trip of a lifetime with Luxury Safari Company! The only question you will have is "Why haven't we done this sooner?!"
Bon Voyage
