Amazing Safari Experience
Our entire safari with Leopard Orchid Safaris was exceptional from start to finish and the whole experience exceeded all of our expectations!
This was our first time going on a safari and we chose to do a 10 day itinerary across Kenya's most famous parks. Michael the tour consultant communicated everything clearly, answering all of our queries and ensuring that the booking process was smooth and efficient. Our preferences for things like vegan food were communicated clearly to all of the lodges and we felt that everything was really well organized.
Our guide John did a truly amazing job and ensured that we had an unforgettable experience. Throughout our entire journey, John's genuine, friendly attitude and fun humor ensured that we always felt comfortable and completely safe. We opted to drive between each of the parks and despite the long distances, the hours flew by and John kept us entertained with so many interesting facts about the places and animals, answering all of our questions and demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness to guarantee that we had the best time.
John is very knowledgeable about all kinds of animals and with his expertise we saw everything that we wanted to see and more! John helped us witness some really special wildlife encounters and knew the best way to position the vehicle to capture these special moments on camera, as you can see in the photos attached. No matter which park or what time of day, John always knew the best areas to look for animals and often we were the only ones to witness these encounters. Some of the highlights include being surrounded by a pack of young lions in Samburu, spotting a leopard walking down a river bed, and witnessing two bull elephants sparring play fighting with their tusks in Amboseli.
We honestly could not have asked for a better guide and truly appreciate that we got to experience this adventure with John!
Our favourite parks that we visited were Samburu, Masai Mara and Amboseli, but even some of the shorter stops such as Nakuru and Lake Naivasha were way more interesting than we expected, and all of the lodges in each area were super impressive with high quality buffet meals and clean, comfy accomodation. Before our trip we were concerned that 10 days on safari might be a bit too intense for a first time, but this turned out to be a perfect amount of time to get a real good overview of what Kenya has to offer!
Overall we highly recommend Leopard Orchid Safaris and without a doubt would choose them again for our next safari!

A safari tour that went above and beyond.
We are extremely happy that we decided to book Leopard Orchid Safaris. Our tour guide Paul was kind, knowledged and made our Safari the best it could have been. Paul is a super friendly person that answered all of our questions, and knew a lot of people and other guides, which meant he could always bring us to the best spots and see even the rarest of animals.
He was also very respectful towards the animals and nature which we highly appreciated. Paul also fully adjusted to our needs instead of going with some kind of practiced routine. I was personally super interested in birds, and Paul managed to tell us a lot about the different birds, managed to identify all species and stopped at any point whenever he spotted a new species.
The Safari-Truck was spaceous, comfortable and had a roof that could be opened.
We were also gifted aluminum bottles and water to keep us hydrated while the gifted safari gave us shade. We truly appreciated the gifts, the friendly staff and our tour guide Paul and will definitely choose Leopard Orchid Safari above any other Tour any day of the week.

Everything is excellent.
We had an amazing safari experience from start to finish! Communication before the trip was smooth, and all of our questions were answered quickly. We also received a very warm welcome with an airport pickup on the day we arrived, which made us feel well taken care of from the very beginning.
Our guide, Peter, was outstanding. He is incredibly knowledgeable about wildlife and taught us so much about the animals and their behavior. He was always enthusiastic about tracking wildlife and did his best to help us find as many animals as possible. Thanks to his experience, we were able to enjoy many unforgettable wildlife sightings.
The entire journey was relaxed, enjoyable, and full of wonderful memories. We highly recommend this company and especially Peter to anyone planning a safari in Kenya!

The best ever
Our safari in Kenya was an unforgettable experience, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Lawrence. From the moment we arrived until he dropped us back at the airport, he made sure everything was taken care of. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely cared about making our trip as special as possible. Every drive was enjoyable because he shared so much about the wildlife, Kenyan history and local culture, making each journey just as memorable as the game drives themselves.
Seeing the Big Five was something I will never forget. Lawrence always seemed to know exactly where to be and positioned the vehicle perfectly so everyone could enjoy amazing views and take fantastic photographs. Watching him anticipate where the animals would move, especially when we were lucky enough to get so close to a lion, was incredibly impressive.
One thing that meant a lot to me personally was how caring Lawrence was when I became unwell with a sore throat during the trip. Before we even reached our accommodation that evening, he had already contacted the resort so a doctor was waiting to see me when we arrived. That level of kindness and attention really showed how much he cared about his guests, and it made me feel completely looked after.
Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge was definitely my favourite place we stayed. Waking up to see zebras and giraffes outside our room felt like something out of a dream. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful, and having wildlife wandering freely around the property made it a truly unique experience. The food throughout the trip was excellent, with Ziwu Bush Lodge standing out as my favourite.
Lawrence always had plenty of fresh water available, gave us useful advice about the weather and made sure we were comfortable throughout the long journeys. We always felt safe, relaxed and well cared for. His passion for Kenya, its wildlife and its people really shines through, and it made the experience even more meaningful.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Leopard Orchid Safaris to anyone planning a safari in Kenya, and if you have the opportunity to request Lawrence as your guide, do it. He helped turn an amazing holiday into a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I'll always remember.

Rainbow after a rainy day, very caring, kind and friendly.
Our tour guide Lawrence was exceptional. He was not just our driver but companion on our safari trip. The long drives were entertaining, educational and full of unforgettable memories. We learned not just about animals but also about Kenyan culture. We were well looked after, in particular one day I was feeling the hot sun on my window and Lawrence like a hero saved the day with window shades to block out the sun. We saw the big 5 and each encounter was magical. I would highly recommend Lake Naivasha Sopa, it was our favourite resort by far, animals roaming freely around the resort, opening the curtains to zebra and giraffe outside your window was breathtaking. Mornings were chilly so light jackets are a must, evenings are warmer, stay hydrated! Lawrence had fresh water always in supply, we were pleasantly surprised at Lawrence’s vast knowledge of the animals and landscapes and history of many places we visited. Service was phenomenal, the value for money was incredible. Lawrence always had us parked close enough so we could get the best angles for photos, he even predicted the path of a Lion so we could be the first to and closest to it for photos! The best food we had was undoubtedly at Ziwu Bush Lodge. We were collected at the airport and dropped off at the airport once our tour was finished, we were looked after every step of the way. I would like to highlight my girlfriend fell slightly ill with a sore throat and by the time we had reached the Resort that day, the resort doctor was already on site(courtesy of Lawrence’s attentiveness and care) to call ahead. We never once felt in danger and Lawrence seemed to know everyone, we felt like VIP’s. My group of 3 friends and I, were comfortable throughout the drives and we all highly recommend Leopard Orchid Safaris, and especially Lawrence as a guide, I hope this review helps everyone interested in visiting Kenya and taking the journey through the surreal and incredible safari experience.

Exceptional safari experience with outstanding guides, service and unforgettable wildlife.
Our experience was Leopards Orchid was truly amazing and exceeded our expectation. Micheal was very responsive and helped with anything and everything I asked for. He catered all our needs when it came to food choices, rooms and lodges. He made sure the itinerary was exactly what we were hoping to see.

Nothing is too much trouble
Michael arranged our lodgings and Paul our fantastic guide met us at the airport. We had a 3 day 2 night tour in Ol Pajeta and it was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed it and saw everything and more. Would highly recommend Leopard Orchid to anyone thinking of Kenya for safari

Two Outstanding Safaris and Excellent Guides in Kenya
We can highly recommend Leopard Orchid Safaris. From the very beginning, communication was fast and efficient, and they were happy to accommodate all our requests. We were able to tailor the safari itinerary exactly to our preferences.
The day before departure, they contacted us to confirm where we were staying in Nairobi and what time they would pick us up. They arrived exactly at the agreed time.
Our driver, Patrick, was an excellent guide as well as a skilled driver. He drove safely, which is especially important in local traffic conditions. He was very knowledgeable about the local wildlife and shared many interesting facts about the animals we encountered. He always kept his promises and followed our agreed plans, while also showing us new and fascinating sights every day.
The five-day safari to Masai Mara and Nakuru was a fantastic start to our stay in Kenya. By the end of the trip, we were genuinely sad to say goodbye to such a great guide.
After spending a few days on our own, we decided to book another safari, this time to Samburu. Even though it was during the Christmas holidays (we departed on December 25) and we arranged everything at the last minute (on December 21), Leopard Orchid Safaris once again organized everything perfectly. Our second driver, Peter, was also reliable, punctual, and helped us experience many remarkable sights and wildlife encounters.
Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the services provided by Leopard Orchid Safaris and would not hesitate to book with them again in the future.
