Overall outstanding
We had a great adventure on our 9 day Uganda safari. I booked with Tubale Safaris and had a lot of communication with them about dates and lodges etc.
Isaac our guide/driver picked us up at our hotel the first day and was early and waiting. He explained our itinerary to us. Isaac kept us on track each day with time for breakfast and times we were to be leaving for different activities and drives. Before our trip some of our lodges had changed and I was told they were upgrades. I really don’t know how to gauge that since we haven’t been to Uganda before. We put trust in Tubale.
Each lodge we stayed at we weren’t disappointed and felt taken care of. Isaac was always checking in with us to make sure we had what we needed. He was always early, arranged ahead of time different people he knew to get all information as to where the animals might be that day (finding us the shy leopard), and in advance with the lodges for our lunches and times we would arrive. You can tell he is very experienced at providing the best safari experience to you.
Annet with Tubale would check in with us throughout our tour to make sure everything was going well. Even after our tour we stayed in Kampala a couple more days and Isaac was making sure we were ok and if we needed anything. He really went above and beyond in making our adventure in Uganda safe and exciting.
I think overall there are a lot of costs associated with safaris. Be prepared to tip a diffent guide for everything. Example: Gorilla trekking they (Bwindi guides) will ask for tips for the trackers and guides. It’s fine we would have tipped them anyway but they pressure you into it. If you go on a walking safari a tip is expected for this guide etc. we knew this from safaris before but it can get annoying along the way. It doesn’t have anything to do with Tubale.
