Bongan Safaris was everything we could have asked for and more!
5/5

My brother and I had such a great experience with Bongan Safaris. The accommodations were very comfortable and private, and the home cooked food was top notch. We went on the four day safari, which included a sunset tour the first evening, two full day tours, and then a morning tour the final day. We saw a ton of animals every time we went out, including several lions, buffalos, and elephants so close to the car it felt like we could almost reach out and touch them. We had two different drivers, and both were very friendly and knowledgeable, doing everything they could to find us the best wild life viewing and to keep us comfortable and happy.

Communication prior to arrival and our travel experience was great. They offered pickup and dropoff directly at the airport, and everything on their end went perfectly smooth, even when our incoming flight was delayed by an hour.

I would highly recommend Bongan Safaris to anyone looking for a great Kruger experience.

Big let down
1/5

Our report would mirror Susie and Jonny´s from last Sept. The company never paid Foxes for our three camps, and we were left in the 3rd with the threat of being charged yet again for a holiday for which we had paid fully 4 months previously. It would certainly seem as if they have a cashflow problem. We tried to help, ringing both Pure Safari and Foxes (both based in UK while we were in Tanzania) but despite various implausible excuses from PS I do not believe that our payment has been transferred to the owner of the camps. Beware of using this company.

Tanzania safari and zanzibar beach - Honeymoon
5/5

We booked our honeymoon through pure safari with John Graze and can honestly say it was the best trip ever.
I explained what I was looking to John and he made some suggestions before we finalised everything. The whole trip was above and beyond our expectations. Our extremely helpfull and knowledgeable guide Rich from kibo guides was there to greet us at Killamanjaro and from there he brought us on our 6 day safari. Rich was an excellent guide we got to see so much more wildlife than expected. Our accommodation throughout the safari was amazing and staff very friendly and helpfull.
After our safari we stayed at Z hotel in zanzibar for our beach break. Again John advised on the ocean front cottage room as I wanted something a bit luxurious and wow what a room.
We enjoyed every minute and will most definetly be planning our next safari soon.

Stranded in Africa!
1/5

Customer service pre departure - atrocious. Information given re connections in Africa - atrocious. They failed to pay the camp operator in Selous so our booking was cancelled, despite the fact that we had paid in full weeks before departure, but they still allowed us to arrive at the airstrip with nowhere to stay. The security guard at the airstrip had to call the camp to get them to collect us or we would have been stranded there, and in some danger as a result. The manager of the camp saved the day by allowing us to stay but still had a lot of trouble getting the payment from Pure Safari, who just ducked and dived the whole time. Their attitude was arrogant and complacent throughout (one agent in particular has an unbelievable attitude to his customers). We have had no apology from them, despite sending in a written complaint, in fact they haven't even acknowledged it after three weeks. They don't seem to have had a good review for over a year, and the fact that they failed to pay the camp indicates that they are probably in trouble financially, so avoid at all costs, and pay them nothing upfront unless you want to be abandoned in Africa and told a constant stream of lies.

Very well looked after by Bruce from my initial contact. The holiday trip was just amazing and all of the local aids were extremely courteous and friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending your services. Our only issue was flight connections and not having one through ticket for our air travel which together with poor connection planning aided is to miss one connecting flight on our return trip which had to be rebooked and paid for. We would appreciate this cost being refunded.

Holiday was AMAZING. Everything we had hoped for.
5/5

Right from our first enquiry they couldn't do enough to make sure we had the holiday we wanted , within our price range. Even when we had to add another traveller , and then remove her again it was all done without fuss.

Excellent company!
5/5

Everything was perfect - the Selous Impala camp really looked after us and he service was second to none. All the employees were amazing. Echo Beach was the most perfect destination for our honeymoon and the most beautiful setting I have ever seen. Again all the people that worked there, especially the owners made us feel very welcome and really looked after us. The perfect honeymoon destination.

Pure Zanzibar were so helpful in giving us advice on the perfect honeymoon before we actually booked. They made sure we were going to an intimate destination in Zanzibar and also a luxury safari experience that was right for us. They also helped with all our questions before we went and nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent
5/5

We had the best time as a family, a very spiritual experience seeing so many animals and birds in their natural environment. Ed from Pure Zanzibar completely understood what we were after on our trip, for example good food. we had excellent food and service from everyone at both Tent with a View and at Echo Beach. thank you so much the holiday will remain with me always!

4/5

Very good holiday - might had upgraded the first hotel if i had known how basic it would be - was expecting it not to be great but would have liked better if i had known more detail.
