Mt Meru with Memorable Vacation Africa/Evance
Memorable Vavation Africa, the agency of Evance, was just the right choice to do a Mt Meru trek. Evance had been highly recommended by a good friend who is an Africa expert, and everything he had said turned out right. Evance is very knowledgable and takes excellent care if his clients. He also has a great team. Guide Victor Manyanga was a good leader, keen to show us as much as possible, flexible to adapt to our needs and requests, and always thinking ahead. Our chef/cook was the best we have seen in many treks. He not only prepared delicious food, he als made sure that the setting was like in a top restaurant: make sure he stays on the team! The whole group including park ranger Manyasi were a fine team. They even did a very special good bye ceremony for us with African songs, and all of them insisted to come with us to the airport to say goodbye. Although we did not get to the very summit due to bad weather, the 3 of us had a most enjoyble 4 day trek.

I was in Tanzania on a work trip and last second had 4 days available to trek Mt. Meru. I reached out to a few companies and Evance from Memorable Vacations Africa immediately sent me a message, inquiring about my travel plans and offering to help me plan the trip. He quickly sent me a detailed quote detailing the schedule and services.
My biggest issue was that I had not brought the correct gear to Tanzania - literally I didn't have a coat, rain gear, sleeping bag, hiking poles, thermals, headlamp and more. Evance's brother owns a hiking gear store and he told me that I could borrow whatever I needed for free.
While this saved me hundreds of dollars, I chose Memorable Vacations Africa because Evance was responsive, forthright, and simply gave off honest and good vibes in contrast to other tour companies I spoke with.
The trek itself was fantastic - Evance set me up with Oscar who has been leading Kilimanjaro and Meru treks since 2003 (!!) who had immense knowledge about local flora and fauna. He was an extremely experienced hiker did a gear check every morning and made sure my backpack was properly packed. Moodi and Laurence were the porter and cook and they were also fantastic.
I can't recommend Memorable Vacation's Africa more - Evance is honest and fair and has surrounded himself with like-minded people who love to hike and help others experience Tanzania.
For anyone considering trekking Meru, Kili, or anything else give Evance a call!!

An Unforgettable 4-Day Climb Up Mount Meru
We just got back from climbing Mount Meru in Tanzania—4 days, 3 nights—with Memorable Vacation Africa, and honestly, it was unforgettable.
The crew—our guide, porter, and chef—were all absolute legends. Oscar (our guide) was incredibly knowledgeable entertained us with stories and insights about the mountain and its surroundings.
The food was way better than you'd expect on a mountain—hot meals, tasty, and always right when we needed the energy. We felt also very independent and the crew quickly adapted based on our energy levels.
Climbing Mount Meru was no joke—27 hours of hiking across 4 days. But what a feeling.
Summit day was the highlight.
We left at 1 AM under the stars, hiked 6 hours in the dark, and reached the top just in time for sunrise.
"Magical" doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Evance from the office made everything smooth—super responsive, kind, and helpful from start to finish. Gear was included, and we felt genuinely cared for the whole way.
If you’re even slightly considering it—go. One of the most incredible experiences of our lives.

A Perfect Safari
We did a 5 day safari from Tangire to Ngorongoro to Serengeti and also visited the Hadzabe tribe and many more. The Trip was very well organized from Evance and we got a very good overall impression of Tanzania.
Michael was our Guide during this time and he really did a great Job! The call mit „Mr. Cats“ for a reason…we saw all the big Five and several more from a really close up point of view in just 4 Days. I think that is very impressive.
Our Guide drove an old Toyota Land Cruiser, which handled the bumpy roads very well and had a Pop-up Roof to get a better view on the wildlife. Perfekt for taking good pictures.
Overall the Safari could not have been better. A real 10/10 experience!

Always looking after you, really trying to make your Trip an unforgetable journey
I decided to go on a 7-day safari with Memorable Vacation Africa, and I definitely made the right choice! Everything went wonderfully, from the planning to the actual trip. Since I was traveling alone, I asked to join a group safari, which was quite a complex undertaking for Evance in terms of planning. But he handled it brilliantly, and I really had a great time! The food was excellent—from breakfast and packed lunches to dinner. Amazing Safari
We did a 4-day mid-range safari in Tanzania and had an amazing experience. Evance and his company, Memorable Vacation Africa, were recommended to us by friends, and we’re very happy we followed their recommendation.
From the very beginning, communication with Evance while planning the trip from Germany was excellent. He always replied very quickly, listened to what we were looking for, and put together an itinerary that was a perfect fit for us.
Once we arrived in Tanzania, we were given a very warm welcome and immediately felt well taken care of.
Our safari guide was Michael, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He is very experienced, knows the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater very well, and has a great sense of where to go. He often takes smaller, less-travelled routes, which allowed us to observe many animals in peace and quiet.
Michael was also very keen to find as many animals as possible for us – especially our favourite ones! At no point did it feel like we were simply ticking animals off a list. He took his time and made sure we could really enjoy each special moment. For our safari, we honestly couldn’t have wished for a better guide.
The Ngorongoro Crater was another absolute highlight. The scenery is incredible, and seeing herds of zebras, wildebeest and so many other animals was an unforgettable experience. For us, visiting the crater is definitely a must when travelling to Tanzania!
We were also very happy with the lodges chosen for our trip. Everything was clean and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Overall, everything worked out perfectly, from the initial planning all the way through to the end of the safari. We had a wonderful and unforgettable time and would absolutely choose Evance, his team and of course Michael again for another safari.

Memorable safari
We had an amazing 5-day safari with Memorable Vacation Africa, visiting Tarangire, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. From the beginning, communication with Evance was excellent. He was very helpful, responsive and made everything easy to arrange.
Our guide, Michael, really made the safari special. He is extremely knowledgeable, funny and has an incredible ability to spot wildlife. He could spot lions from what seemed like miles away! He kept joking that we should eat more carrots so we could have eyes like him. 😄
We were incredibly lucky with the wildlife. We saw the Big Five and even witnessed a lion hunt, which was an unforgettable experience.
The accommodations were perfect and the food throughout the safari was delicious. Everything was well organised, comfortable and exceeded our expectations.
A big thank you to Evance and especially to Michael for making this such a memorable experience. We would absolutely recommend Memorable Vacation Africa to anyone looking for a great safari in Tanzania!

It was perfect!!
