Four Nights … Big Five - David Sasine
I’ll say it again in case you missed it in the title: four nights… Big Five… and five leopards - three adults and two cubs.
This trip was unreal.
From the moment David picked us up from our hotel for my partner’s 30th-birthday safari, it was obvious we were with someone exceptional; patient, warm, and genuinely invested in making the experience unforgettable.
The drive from Nairobi to the Mara set the tone. Smooth, calm, and just the right amount of information. David somehow knows exactly when to share something fascinating and when to let you sit back and enjoy the landscape. It’s a balance most guides don’t get right. He nails it effortlessly.
Every single morning, he showed up ready to go, fully committed to helping us track down the more elusive animals. His energy never dipped. Ours didn’t either and it worked. Over four nights, we saw it all: lions, buffalo, elephants, both kinds of rhinos… and then the leopards. Not one, not two, FIVE, including two tiny cubs. Yes, luck played a part, but there’s also something to be said about being with a guide whose instincts are that sharp.
We made a few adjustments to our itinerary, and David didn’t just accommodate he elevated. Every alternative he suggested ended up being the right call. He even helped me organize a birthday surprise in a Maasai village, which turned into one of the most authentic cultural moments of the entire trip.
We arrived with David as our guide and left with him as a friend. There’s no question: we’re coming back to Kenya!

Our safari with David Sasine was truly unforgettable.
From the moment we met him, it was clear that he is deeply passionate—not only about the wildlife, but about the entire experience of guiding. He went above and beyond every single day to make sure our trip was extraordinary. David was incredibly attentive, always anticipating what we might need, and constantly ensuring that we were comfortable, informed, and having the best possible time.
His passion for the animals and the land is contagious. He was just as excited as we were, (sometimes even more!) about every sighting, especially when it came to the Big Five.
Thanks to his dedication, deep knowledge, and unbelievable eye, we were able to see all of them. It genuinely felt like he was sharing in our joy every step of the way.
This trip was a milestone birthday for me, and David made it feel so special. He took the time to get to know us, to share his culture and stories, and to make every moment feel personal and meaningful.
His communication was exceptional—always clear, always thoughtful, and always responsive. He was punctual every day, incredibly patient with our questions and any changes we needed to make, and always focused on finding the best solution to keep the experience seamless.
David is not just a phenomenal guide…he is a truly great person. We feel so lucky to have had him lead our safari, and we would recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Thomas was unbelievable. We also seemed to be in the right place at the right time.
Everything was planned to a tee. Thomas couldn’t have been more knowledge or enthusiastic, we had a great laugh with him. We saw some unbelievable stuff, elephants charging hippos, rhinos charging eachother, lions eating and a leopard up close. Thomas seemed to just know where to go to find everything

Amazing Safari Experience!
We had a really good safari with Jastro. We have been able to see a lot of animals. Our driver Newton has been an excellent guide and driver, he was communicating a lot on the schedule, the organisation and information on each animal. He’s very reliable, kind and he did his best so we can enjoy our safari.
All the parks and lakes we visited have different species and landscapes which make each day unique. We were also very happy about the accommodations.
Victor was very communicative and did everything possible to make sure we had a great time.
We highly recommend this travel agent.

Perfectly planned, reliable and memorable moment!
The trip to Mombasa was like a dream come true for us. The blue sea, white sandy beaches and the warm sun made our minds feel refreshed. Watching the sunset at Diani Beach was unforgettable. Jastro Safaris organized the entire trip with great care. Their guides Milton, Saitoti were friendly and experienced, very knowledgeable about the history and culture of each place. We experienced the true beauty of local life and Swahili culture by visiting Fort Jesus Museum and Old Town. All in all, this trip with Jastro Safaris was perfectly planned, reliable and memorable.

Every moment was an unforgettable experience

Every Moment Unique, Enjoyable and Informative
The safari experience was truly one of our most memorable, and we booked it for five days with Jastro Safaris. Watching the Great Migration in the Maasai Mara was a unique experience thousands of wildebeest crossing the river, while lions and crocodiles hunted nearby! We were blown away by the views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the herds of elephants from Amboseli, and the pink flamingos at Lake Nakuru were truly amazing. Our guides George, Saitoti, were very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient, making every moment more enjoyable and informative. Every day of the safari was filled with excitement, nature, and cultural experiences. Traveling to Kenya was definitely a once in a lifetime experience for us!
