Sebastian was an outgoing and fabulous guide who went above and beyond to make it a great experience
The tour included pickup at our hotel which was very convenient. Once arriving at the airport it was a bit hectic and confusing. That being said the communication from the company was great. After arriving in Mikumi everything was perfect. We went on an open jeep private safari with guide Sebastian who made it his mission for us to see as many different animals as possible. We were able to see crocs, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, elephants, antelope, wild boars, buffalos, monkeys, and four different groups of lions (including babies and a fresh hunt). The only animal we did not see was a leopard which is not common as they are nocturnal and very elusive. We had lunch at the hotel in the park. It was a buffet with options for everyone that were quite delicious. Sebastian made sure we finished our trip with another packed game drive. He provided the best care for us during our trip. This experience was once in a lifetime and we would recommend Plex Safari to anyone looking for a reliable and safe company.

Fantastic service and unforgettable experience
Booking with Plex Africa Safaris turned out to be one of the best decisions of my trip. They were the best priced and offered the most flexibility in terms of the hotels we wanted to stay at, we stayed one night inside the part at a tented camp and one night in a lodge. The service was fantastic and we were never left waiting, also the guide went at our pace and had a lot of knowledge about the wildlife. We saw loads of animals including lions, giraffes, zebra, elephants, hippos, crocodiles and much more. If you're looking for an authentic and unforgettable African safari, I can't recommend Plex Africa highly enough.

Private Mikumi safari from Zanzibar—seamless, amazing wildlife, great guide, top value.
We had the most incredible day on our private safari to Mikumi with Plex Africa Safaris honestly one of the highlights of our Zanzibar holiday.
Travelling from Zanzibar was all arranged seamlessly, which made the whole experience completely stress-free. The journey itself was smooth and well organised, from being picked up and dropped off at our hotel to landing in the middle of Mikumi National Park. It felt like such an adventure going from the island to the national park for the day.
It was also amazing value – it was only $70 more than other popular providers including Get Your Guide and Tui to have a completely private safari and our own 4x4, which made such a difference to the experience.
We saw so much wildlife in just one day – lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos and loads of other animals. Even some very cheeky baboons… definitely watch out for them at lunchtime!
Our guide really made it though – so knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate. You could tell he wanted us to have the best experience possible, and he absolutely delivered.
If you’re thinking about doing a safari while in Zanzibar, we’d 100% recommend this it was unforgettable and a real bucket list day!

A very punctual, attentive, caring, honest, and hardworking tour operator.
Our journey UPENDO-SOYUZ WOMEN GROUP. A group of ten people, all women. We chose the dates October 17-18 this year, traveling from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro and Mikumi National Park. Two days and one night filled with travel, unity, and living beauty of Tanzania. Wild nature of Mikumi - a place where the heart rest and the soul is filled with gratitude.
The safari gave us unforgettable encounters with wildlife, the silence of the savannah. This was not just a trip - it was a time of friendship, support, joy, and women's unity.
Our entire journey was organized absolutely wonderfully, from beginning to end. Our tour operator was Edward, and we were accompanied by excellent tour guides Ricardo Carlos and Pius.
Our guides provided clear and engaging information about the park's geographical location and the behavior of the animals. These young men also handled the 4x4 jeeps very professionally - they were attentive on the road, confident drivers, and very friendly. We would like to sincerely thank all of them for their excellent work.

Everything was very well prepared and smoothly organized.
Perhaps next time we will need the services of Plex Africa Safaris again when we decide to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.😁

Brilliantly organised safari in Neywere, Superb Guiides
The whole tour was so well organised. Hotel pick ups in Zanzibar, internal flights to Neywere and the actual safari.
Our guide Michael and his trainee Moses were so passionate and knowledgeable. We are now back home and my 14 year old daughter says the safari feels like a dream. We saw lions. Elephants, giraffes, crocs, hippos, zebras and so much more. Magical experience over 3 days. Land Rover was so good, whilst we are on some bumpy tracks it never felt uncomfortable. Trip to hot spring was enjoyable and really got further out into the national park, which is as big as Belgiium.
Plex is a well run company with great customer service. 💯 recommend. Thanks for memories for a life time.

Very well organised and responsive
The entire safari was an amazing experience! Our guides, Omar and Babu, were absolutely fantastic – punctual, attentive, and always making sure we were well taken care of while helping us spot all the animals we hoped to see. The park itself is breathtaking, and seeing the wildlife up close made it even more special.
We did encounter some issues at the second lodge, such as the hot water not working, but we understand it was arranged last minute and truly appreciate the effort that went into organizing everything.

Our safari experience at Mikumi National Park was absolutely amazing, and we owe it all to Plex Safari! From start to finish, the whole experience was perfectly organized, making it an unforgettable adventure.
The wildlife in Mikumi was stunning, and we were fortunate to see a variety of animals in their natural habitat (for example lions !)The beauty of the park, coupled with the professionalism of Plex Safari, truly elevated the whole trip. The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating facts about the park and its diverse ecosystem, making our experience even more enriching.
A huge shout-out to our drivers, who were not only expert navigators but also genuinely passionate about wildlife and conservation. Their skill in driving through the park ensured we could see the animals up close and comfortably. They made us feel safe and well-cared for throughout the journey, and their enthusiasm for the safari was contagious.
We can’t thank the team enough for making our time in Mikumi unforgettable. The attention to detail, excellent service, and, most of all, the passion for nature were truly outstanding. Highly recommend Plex Safari to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari adventure!
