they delivered what they promised
4/5

I went to Kenya in September 2015 and booked a day tour of Nairobi with Big time. The driver and services were excellent and thus I booked a 4day Masai Mara plus Lake Nakuru tour with BigTime and I am glad that I made that choice. Martha in particular is very helpful lady . She attended to all my queries very patiently and gave me the best advice to choose among the various tour options. I was not having any local SIM card till we started the journey and I was looking to buy one. Manager John , ever energetic, instructed driver to help me get a local SIM card enroute and with the help of one local guy I could get that within the luch break itself. You can always make a call from the environs of Masai Mara as its a open grassland and signal coverage is pretty good (I wonder whether anybody has studied the negative fallouts of this heavy signal coverage on the wildlife of the park) .... I had chosen camp stay so the services in the camp were basic.. You just get one bulb in bathroom and one more in another partition of the camp used as space for two beds... Electricity was available for just three hours in evening ...from 7to 10pm. then lights would be switched off as the generator would be shut down. One can recharge his camera /mobile at a common dining space .. no TV (except at a place near common dining place) no radio, free Wifi which would work intermittently. Definitely that is not for luxury... but then I had not gone there for luxury. The chef tried his best to accomodate my vegeterain eating preferences. The place was very quiet in early evening...and when the lights were out it was really very interesting to feel like 1950s, something our generation missed completely. Safari itself was very good. We saw all the big 5 plus my darling-Cheetah (twice). We were lucky to see pride of lions crackling the bones of a fresh buffalo kill in early morning safari and then in evening we saw two male lions stalking a baby giraffe, their plans foiled by the head of giraffe family who came very close to two lions threatening them with dire consequences in case of any misadventure. There was only one nuisance... driver chatting ceaselessly on microphone with his fellow drivers. Sometimes it was for good as they gave each other directions of wildlife spotting, but certainly the chatting could have been bit lesser for same effect otherwise he was a braveheart ,taking his vehicle very near to the animal . Dont expect perfect peaceful watching of wildlife as shown on Discovery /NGC as drivers' microphones make noises continuously. Though it was a budget Safari , Stay in Nakuru was very comfortable, a pleasant surprise for all of us travelling together. Overall it was a nice experience with BigTime Safari. Special thanks to Martha and John.

A fantastic family vacations due to a very well planed journey with good sites and excelent guides
4/5

We had a very good previous experience during the planning of the safari. We were able to modify the trip and select the places and duration according to our request. Most of the success of the journey is because of the flexibility shown by BTS in preparation. Once there, both guides (in Kenya and Tanzania) showed a high acknowledge of the sites and were dedicated and warm.
Definetely, an awesome experience

Lots of animals and incredibles places with excellent guides
4/5

The parks are amazing: we could enjoy them and the animal sightings in a comfortable car. Our guides were impeccable; they were always ready to answer our questions, explain us about the animals or the parks in a good mood. Food and meals were delicious and the acommodations comfortable. If there were some problem it was always good resolved with good mood. It was a very incredible experience, we saw all kinds of animals and I will absolutly recommend Big Time Safaris.

We saw all the big 5. The tour was perfectly organized. Our guide richard was awesome and the food was good. Only thing to complain: there was no hot shower even if they told us there is one.

Good accommodations, good wildlife, good people.
4/5

I went on a three day Maasai Mara safari. For the price, I thought it was a great experience. About $330 dollars for transportation, accommodation, meals, and the guide. A few minor problems here and there with the vehicle and getting nickel-and-dimed for water. You stay in these cute little tents with private bathrooms, community meals in the morning and evening with a packed lunch on Saturday. I went alone and happened to get a pretty good group in my vehicle. Make sure you ask for extra time on Friday and Sunday in the park. If your group is willing, you can get up early and get a few extra hours. We had one passenger who was complaining, but honestly, a lot of people spent more than $300 per DAY for safari in this area. Definitely a steal for students, budget travelers, or anyone who doesn't need a luxury lodge.

The tour was my first safari in Africa. It was an amazing experience and exciting time very well enjoyed. The initial communications and arrangements were very good. Picking and dropping were on time and punctually done by drivers. The accommodation was marvelous and so food. All was excellent and I would like to thank the whole team and especially Martha. Hope to join you again for another safari trip.

Good Value for Money
4/5

We visited Masai Mara for this trip (3 days) last July 6-9, 2016. We are happy overall for the services provided from airport pick-up up till the end of the trip. Though at early July the animals are difficult to track we did enjoyed our first African Tour. This trip was a great introduction to Africa. Special thanks to Martha.

Good experience with low budget
4/5

The BigTime safaris is good company they could develop a very good program for you and follow up with you to make sure your are satisfied especially with the low budget I paid. The food however is not that good in Kenya camps but in Tanzania they provided private chef which cook for you whatever you like but you need to mention the food you like before you travel so that they prepare the materials.
The Tnazanian counterpart who should take care of us in Tanzania on behalf of BigTime Safaris were not a honest guy and tried to decive us of bus tickets by doubling the price but when we contacted the bus company they confirmed that the price is half of what we paid him so after confronting him he admitted and returned the money ($90) and refused to drop us to the bus station which was 15min walking ( difficult with luggage) and it was very early morning no taxis
